Wow so Rouge. Harley Quinn is suitably creepy, and the scenes with Dinah and her mom were great, especially when Alex was explaining what her sacrifice cost. Poor Guido and Helena.
As for Chloe and Oliver, I don't believe I am going to write this...but I am extremely disappointed that her choices are again to remove herself from him. After everything they have been through, Oliver deserves better than to be repeatedly crushed by her, he treats her like a partner, she treats him like second best. He thinks of them, she thinks only of herself, and that she can walk away from him with their child only but says its for him reinforces that belief. So sad she hasn't learnt anything from all her experiences....... and Yikes you've turned me into a Dollie shipper!
Excellent work on the epi though and congrats on getting Season 3

Excellent work on the epi though and congrats on getting Season 3 Response to Ica013's review: I loved writing this episode -- its probably one of my top three favourites to write this season. Thanks for reviewing! XD Your views on Chloe and Oliver are kind of enlightening. I've heard mixed feelings on them this season, and I can see it from lot of different sides - your perspective is rather interesting to me. My own interpretation of what happened in this episode between them, and in that final scene, is that Chloe is -- as she always does -- sacrifcing her own feelings, and love for Oliver, in order to keep him protected and safe. She's very much putting his own well being in front of her own, and believes in her own mind, that she's responsible for him going so far as to nearly killing someone. One one hand, she doesn't want to have someone's blood on her hands again (like, during S8 of Smallville w/Davis, and all his murders), but on the other, she doesn't want to be the source of Oliver's darkness, or feed into it. She wants to help him, so she sees this as a way to to do that, however harsh her methods. But again, I like your views of it. From Oliver's perspective, someone is trying to kill his wife, his child, and he'll do whatever he can to stop that. Chloe has these moral beliefs standing in the way of their relationship, and is driving them apart, rather than working together on this as a team and pushing through. They sort of clash here, and as you'll see in the final run, they're trying to work through this. Chloe doesn't want to leave, but feels obligated to in order to save him. Oliver does have some personal things to deal with, but like you said, they are partners in this, and Chloe isn't handling it like that. This all factors in to what their stories are, as a couple, in the last 5 episodes of the season. And I've turned you into a Dollie shipper? *gasp* To be honest, though, I've had a lot of fun writing Dinah/Oliver. I couldn't picture them in a relationship, because I'm only scratching the surface of a pretty solid friendship, but I'm glad you like them! I've shipped a lot of different characters this season. I liked Dinah/Icicle at one point, Chloe/Emil, Selina and Bruce are still a favourite of mine, although their spark fizzled out pretty quickly. This review is quite long, sorry! haha. I'm really glad you enjoyed the Dinah/Alexandra stuff. Introducing that character was really fun to do, and I think my favourite scene to write was between Alexandra and Perry, actually. I won't get into the details of why, but thank you for the review! Almost missed out on Harley -- I'm glad you found her creepy! I was going for that suspense sort of eeriness in the scene where she's hunting down Chloe whilst singing "Hush little Baby." XD Anyway, thank you for the review! Your views on Chloe/Oliver were, like I said, enlightening, and I really appreciate it. Hope you stick around to read the final five episodes next month!

I'll be reading....so want to see what you have in store and I appreciate your views on the Chloe/Oliver dynamic and I can take that on board. As for the Dollie stuff I didn't get into smallville until last year and was wondering what the fuss was about regarding the pairings. While I wasn't a fan of the SV Canary, your version of her is likable and I can see the solid friendship....most FF writers that have Chloe as the main gal don't really bother about Dinah. So again great job with that character.

I never had any plans for Dinah for WT, or to have her paired up with Oliver as much (not even for a friendship), but after I brought her in for one episode, because I was BENT on doing "Birds of Prey", she got some pretty good reception so I decided to bring her back for S2 to test the waters. Now, I love writing for her. I'm with you, in that I wasn't a huge fan of her on SV, and thats a huge compliment that you find her likable here. So thank you!

Alright Jack, I just finished reading "Curse" and while I can't really leave a full review right at this moment, I loved it. It was awesome all the way through -- and, wow, poor Helena. I can't wait to see how that whole thing plays out. I hope to leave a full review and read the next episode really soon. For now, I give it a 9/10.

I'm a bit upset that I wasn't able to fit in a storyline he wanted to do - which was Chloe/Selina bodyswap - but everytime I tried to work that into the outline, it just didn't fit with the main plotpoints we needed for the episode to fit into the overall season arcs. It is, however, still a story I think would be great to see, so maybe next season, Chris might be up for it! He sprinkled his own genius over the characters and story, and really captured everything wonderfully, I think. I was just so excited to have Chris write an episode. HOPEFULLY, and I think he's definitely behind it, Chris will write a minisode for the VDVD, and hopefully if he isn't insanely busy in the future, he can find time to write some more Watchtower episodes. I'm glad you enjoyed the episode!

Hey, Jack! I'm trying to get more into reviewing, and I was finally able to finish "Torn", so I'm going to attempt a review. xD
Review 2x16 "Torn"
I really enjoyed this episode. I love Helena episodes, and this is probably my favorite episode this season. Going off Bertinellis, WTF WAS THAT ENDING?!?! xD
Okay, for serious now: I really enjoyed the opening scene with Joker. I loved the description, especially about his face. -Joker fanboy moment- And, then BOOM the biggest bombshell EVER gets dropped by Guido, and I wanted to scream. And I'm just sitting here thinking, "Uh, who the hell are Helena's parents?!" LOL.
I don't know how I feel about Helena just running to Chloe and crying. I mean, I understand why it happened, but... I don't know. And then Helena just LEAVES. Uh... yea.
And then, Dinah and Oliver team up. I loved it! They're such a great team, in my opinion. And they can kick some real ass when they need to. And when Dinah got shot, and I thought she died, I was like, "JACK, I HATE YOU." But, she lived through it, so I can gladly say I don't hate you.
When Chloe went to Gordon, I did get the feel he was hiding something, so I give you props for keeping the mystery element there.
And then, Harley Quinn makes an appearance, being all bad-ass, which is awesome! And you know, just planting one on Ollie was just... more bad-ass-nes.
I loved the standoff (would you call it that?) at the warehouse. Helena is the biggest bad-ass ever, in my opinion. And we she pulled out that gun...yea.
Okay, ACT 5 made me want to...I don't know do something! The biggest effing bombshell ever was unleashed on Helena, and Guido... GUIDO!!! Oh, lord, this was quiet an episode for the Bertinellis.
Okay, so all in all I'll give it an 9.5/10. I really enjoyed, actually loved it, but I kept going back to that scene with Helena and Chloe going, "Why?". Hopefully this all made sense, I'm no good at reviewing, and can't wait to read more episodes, Jack!

Thanks for the review! xD
"Torn" was definitely one of my favourites to write for the season - I had this story planned for Helena since the beginning of the season, and was building up towards what role she'd play in the final batch of episodes. This was the first one to really tackle that, and I had a lot of fun with it, so I'm very happy that you enjoyed it as much as you did!
The ending was fun - I've been trying to take a page from one from The Vampire Diaries' book and end all these episodes on some form of relevant cliffhanger, and so its fun breaking an episode and figuring out what shocker to leave you on -- this one was fun to do! Guido has a very long, and painful journey towards the finale, and this is the beginning of it.
I'm glad you enjoyed the opening scene! Originally I was just going to resume this episode where the last one left off, with Guido telling Helena about his real identity, but I decided that while that is going on, I can establish the Joker's purpose in the episode - so, that's how that squeezed in there at the start. Plus, I thought it would be more powerful to do than to just carry on where "Curse" finished. And yes, I was hoping for some sort of "WTF" reaction to Guido's reveal! XD
The scene between Helena and Chloe was kind of pivotal for the episode, and season, mainly because they've been such great friends in the first season, and thinks went left for them when Guido entered the picture and Helena wanted a normal life. In a way, Helena cut Chloe out, and this was sort of Helena trying to cling on to some sort of familiarity from the past, because everything in her life was starting to crumble down - which is why she so easily allowed herself to follow this new man in her life, because everything about him felt stable, and real, and honest. The scene delved into that, and of course, Helena wasn't able to find those qualities in her friendship with Chloe because of how long they've been parted, and how that certain level of understanding between the two has faded over such a long time. The friendship between Chloe and Helena is something that gets a lot of focus in this last upcoming run.
Ugh, another Dinah/Oliver fan? *death stare* jks jks. I love writing these two so much. You know, I was hesitant to establish any sort of friendship between them, mainly because when the show started there were quite a few vocal readers who rooted for Chloe/Oliver so strongly, and were quite anti-Dinah, but I think, without hearing from them as much, I've been more comfortable with bringing in this character and really threading her into the story as much as possible. Writing this friendship between Dinah and Oliver is definitely a highlight for me, for this season. And aaah, don't hate me! Hahaha. Yeah, it was only a graze. lmfao! XD
One of the most exciting and daunting things about this season is the amount of DC Comics Characters that are coming into the fold - Gordon, the Joker, and Harley Quinn especially. Its been easier to write for Gordon, and I'm glad you felt that mystery of what exactly is he hiding, and thank you for the compliments on that -- I appreciate it! But yeah, its fun to integrate Gordon into the story, and work on his position on the force, as well as his role in the Dark Knight's life, which will grow and grow on the show. As for Harley Quinn, she's such a fiesty character to write! I love her! My favourite thing to write for her is when she's all badass and trying to freak everyone out, but then the minute she loses the upper hand, she resorts to this innocent, bumpling little child that seems as though she couldn't hurt a fly. And that's been fun to write. I'm glad you liked both these characters' roles in this episode! Thank you!
Yay, a Helena fan! Yeah, that face off/stand off, whatever you want to call it, was such a cool moment to write. I think there are moments when Helena is being victimised, and can easily play the role of damsel in distress in these kind of moments, and then she surprises you when she stands up and takes control. Anyway, I'm so glad you liked her in this episode! XD
This episode was definitely one for the "Bertinellis". Helena won't be in the next episode, I'm pretty sure -- my mind is stuck in writing mode for #19, so I'm even having troubles remembering parts of THIS episode -- but you'll get to see what happens to Guido, whether he survives this attack, and if he does, what kind of fallout he suffers from it. Guido has been one of those characters I had to test the waters with first, get a reaction from the fans, and then decide what kind of capacity he would have this season. I think Guido has definitely become one of my favourite characters to write for this season, mainly because of his own mortality, and his willingness to protect Helena, and because there was a certain element of "who are you?" that surrounded him.
I can't wait to hear more from you about any of the future episodes! This review was great to read, so thank you!
(sorry for the long response, I get all reflective, and ranty whenever I get reviews, especially if I don't receive one in a while. lol!)

I've got some suggestions:
[/li][li]Clark and Lois appear in an episode that also involves a crossover with "Trinity".
[/li][li]Roy Harper and Conner Hawke appear.
[/li][li]Chloe's father appear and reunites with her mom

That happened in Season One's episode Homecoming I'm sorry, I've only been here a couple weeks and haven't read all of them yet. But still I'd love to see Clark and Lois on this. I'd also love to see Martha again. All the episodes so far aare all amazing and written well. Nicki Minaj as Harley Quinn: BEST CHOICE OF CASTING EVER! One character I think this show could use is Mari McCabe/Vixen. I'd love to see her here and this actressto portray her: Natashia Williams from VPD. This Virtual Series is amazing and fits great for all the characters. I hop this stays for 5 more seasons! ;D

I hop this stays for 5 more seasons! ;D Thank you for the support! I would love to hear more from you on this show, your comments were refreshing! Chris and I are still very interested in a crossover - its just a matter of having the stars allign, and also finding the right story. There is a story locked in the back of my mind for Clark and Lois to appear on the show - in fact, I did want to do an episode THIS season that focuses on Chloe/Clark, but it I couldn't find the right time to do it. But, Clark did appear in the "War" two parter - his role centered mainly on being a hero in the background who watched over Chloe, and the others as they dealt with Falcone. Chloe felt his presence, turned, and he disappeared before she could see him. As for Lois, I think its important to have her appear eventually on the show, and if so, I'd like to give her a small 2-3 episode arc. Its just about finding a way to put them in the show that would make sense, and then finding a story for them. XD I loved writing for Martha - she'll be on Trinity later in the season. I'll have to look into "Vixen." I'm pretty sure she has a role on Trinity at some point, I've never really heard of her before, and if I have, I picture "Trinity", so I think Chris has mentioned her to me before. But yeah, just glancing over her character now, she's been affiliated with the Suicide Squad and Checkmate? With Waller and the Squad over in Odyssey now, you might find Vixen will surface over there! Again, thank you for the support! The show will be back for Season Three, which I'm really, very excited about. And after that, I'd really love to complete my five-season plan. I don't think I can go past five seasons, and hopefully people will continue to read. Anyway, it was nice to hear from you!
