So just the other day I was sitting on the bus to Uni listening to some music when I was suddenly struck with this idea of how Edge of Vision is going to end. Now, I hadn't even considered how I might end EoV up until that point but it did get me thinking about a question I want to pose to everyone writing or planning a virtual series, and that is: Do you know how your virtual series ends?I ask because I find that knowing exactly how everything is going to come to an end in EoV is a really enlightening experience and kind of helps with the writing process when I know exactly what all my episodes and seasons will be building towards. So, let's hear what everyone else has to say on endings, because I'm very interested to see other peoples answers

Yes, indeed I do actually. XD At first it was kind of shady, and I couldn't even THINK about it ending. And even now, it's hard to picture it ending because I totally love writing it and how it's unfolding and everything. But yes, I know EXACTLY how The Outcasts (I hate that, abbreviated, it comes out as TOC or The OC -SIGHS- XD) will end, down to the way I'm going to write the last paragraph/lines.

Yes, I've known how Trinity will end since season one Though there have been many changes to the show inbetween the beginning and end, the plans for the final moments of the show have remained the same! I think having a clear plan for your show's final moments, you gain more perspective on the series as a whole. And while I can't wait to finish the show, I'm definitely having so much fun writing it!

Well, I think it really depends what kind of series it is. For example, Land Of The Living Dead, being a Zombie series, could end in a gazillion different ways that could work equally well, so in this case I don't think it really matters that much.

I just realized how much stuff I have started that I never finished...I can't possibly think of a proper ending to my many ideas right now. Maybe if when they further developed....

I have a bit of an idea as to how the series will wrap up - I know what characters will be involved in the last episode, and how some of them will bow out. But as for the overal plot, and the very, very last scene ... I don't have a clue anymore. I used to. But I'm not sure about it anymore - the show has unwravelled itself, and I usually have more of an idea once I start planning that particular season. Once it hits me, I'll probably be cheering, and then get depressed that I've figured out the endpoint. I do only plan to have five seasons though. Whether or not I'll get to write all those five seasons, that's a different question. xD

Whether or not I'll get to write all those five seasons, that's a different question. xD Jack Malone....you WILL get to write ALL five seasons And i have re-written Excalibur alot of times, juggled six thousand ideas (literally.hahhaa) but i have figured out what characters are going to be in the finale, how everyone contributes, who is saying goodbye for the final time, and basically the last line: "Let's go save the Day". I have to agree with Jack that i would be excited at first for it to end....but then the sadness would hit me because its over
