Smallville is an American television series that debuted in 2001 on the WB Television Network. In which currenlty continues, now in its ninth season, on the CW. It tells the story of Clark Kent's journey into becoming Superman, with all the iconic characters from the comics joining him on this epic adventure. Recently, the series has taken Clark to Metropolis where he starts his career as a journalist alongside his iconic destined lover Lois Lane, who shows him what it takes to be a reporter! The series began in the small cansas state, where Clark spent his high school years uncovering abilties, learning about his destiny, developing his friendship with Lex, uncovering meteor freaks with the help of his friend Chloe Sullivan, and pining over Lana Lang. As it progressed, it began to dig deeper into the mythology with Jonathan Kent's death, the rift between Clark & Lex's friendship, as he goes down an evil path, and later, during one of the more recent seasons, has Clark taking on a superhero persona, the Red Blue Blur. (From Left: Justin Hartley, Aaron Ashmore, Allison Mack, Erica Durance, Tom Welling, Kristin Kreuk, Michael Rosenbaum) Now, a lost Kryptonian race, led by Major Zod, has escaped from a powerful orb that Tess wished would lead their world out of destruction's path; little did she know she has brought upon the end of existence. Clark, now disguised as the Blur, has cut off his attachments to complete his training, but falls for the intrepid reporter, Lois Lane, being drawn back into this world of humanity. He struggles to save Zod from becoming the destined nemesis he is to become, whilst maintaining his relationship with Lois Lane, and his superhero persona. The series is possibly entering its final season, if renewed, and is a rather interesting show! Although, it may not be as great as Buffy the Vampire Slayer (what is?!), its still an intriguing series with twists and turns that manages to maintain its terrific storylines, and its creative flair will consume anyone who watches! I recommend this show to anyone interested in an hour of fantasy, and enjoys the heroes & villain aspect; as well as those who enjoy a few laughs, some great visual effects, and touching heartfelt moments. Which is all wrapped together in this action/adventure-supernatural/drama series 'Smallville' NOTE: For those who want to learn more about the characters Chloe Sullivan and Lana Lang before reading the virtual series that are about to air this fall, I'd suggest tuning in, and catching up, although our shows don't necessarily rely on this show, being a spin off of it, I recommend learning about the characters, and seeing them on screen.

One of my favorite shows. The ninth season has been amazing, aside from the overused Clois scenarios. They are pretty much what this season is all about and being a former Clois fan, they really bring down the series sometimes. But I still watch due to the fact that the show still interests me. The other characters are fantastic, Chloe, Tess, Oliver, are all very great characters with very intriguing storylines and plots, that keep me into the show. If you don't watch, you should totally start.

I complety agree with what Chris said, this season has been great other than Clois. I used to pull for the two so much but now there together I get those moments like when I first watched the new Indiana Jones movie where I'm like I wish they hadn't made this and others where I'm like okay this is awesome. I still love Chloe and Ollie, Well Zod started off as a fantastic villian than just got dull. And half the time i'm like where's Tess? She been in like six episodes out of fourteen. I was hoping she's get more scene time this season. And I'm most dissapointed is that Lois still doesnt seem to be aware of the fact Jimmy is dead. That was one of the moments I was most excited about coming into this season considering the last two years they had a lot of screen time togeather.

So...Smallville fans... Who do you think this Red Queen is? I hear some people are thinking it's Martha, Lana or Kara. But I'm not too sure. What are your thoughts on her identity? Or do you believe it's a totally new character?

Or do you believe it's a totally new character? My heart tells me Martha, my head tells me Chloe. I think its been foreshadowed on Chloe all season long (from Roulette where Oliver places the queen down in front of her, to now where Lois calls 'long live the queen' in front of her, and the two are wearing the exact same shirts after the scene). I really want it to be Martha, and I think it is, but it could also be Chloe...

I was thinking Martha at first...but those legs made me pause. I'm not real sure. The Chloe theory sounds interesting, never really thought of her until someone on K-Site mentioned what Jack said about the foreshadowing done by the writers. Of course in my mind I'm doubting the writers would really be able to hold onto their continuity long enough for something like, but who knows

I've decided I'm gonna try and review season 10 when it airs - thats if Allison is still there. Until then, definately gonna be posting thoughts on "Sacrifice" doubtful on "Hostage" but may try, and definately "Salvation".
Krysla, you make me laugh! Its so true though, Smallville's motto is probably 'forget and move on'. There have been so many storylines that haven't been explained - and we've had to ask Al Septien to clear it up for us. To get this thread more talkative how about some questions...
What is your favourite season? Who is your favourite character(s)? Who is your least favourite character(s)? Favourite episode(s)?

Lets try some new questions...
Favourite Writing Team: Kelly Saunders & Brian Peterson -- I think their characterisation of my favourite character Chloe is spot on at most times, and think they do a top job at writing for the show!
Favourite Writer: Genevieve Sparling -- she gets the best episodes and makes them even better. "Beast" and "Escape" were top episodes from season 8 and 9!
Favourite Justice League Member: Huge fan of Martian Manhunter and Impulse!
Favourite Fight Scene: Chloe vs Tess in "Pursuassion".

So, I seriously cannot wait until Smallville Season Ten premieres tomorrow. The FINAL season! Just sounds so unreal...I've been watching Smallville, literally for half of my life, and it's all coming to an end soon.
So, what are you guys/gals most excited for this season? Hopes? Complaints (Like the fact that Chloe won't be a regular for long.) Let's get this Smallville Talk goin!

I'm not really enjoying the final season as much as the other seasons - I think the producers made a mistake in having a four-star cast. I would have liked to see Annette O'Toole or John Glover be series regulars or someone from the past - heck, I was even hoping for Cat Grant to be a regular. But the guest spots will have to do.
The story? Interesting. I like how they're approaching Darkseid and the big bad being more about Clark overcoming his self doubt and inner demons, obviously being that final step to becoming Superman. The overuse of Clois (Clark and Lois) annoys me, because I find that relationship rushed and really hard to grasp the iconic-ness of it. Its nothing like the movies or comics, its a terrible story being told on the show. Oliver outing himself as a hero this year was exciting, but I'm not sure how that's going to come into play in the rest of the season.
And ... TESS MERCER. New favourite character (second to Chloe) - always loved Tess though, but I'm loving how she's 'good' now and a 'Luthor'. I'm really not hating this season but I'm not enjoying it that much either. The episodes have been alright. The season had a good premiere, "Lazarus", but became dodgy from there with good and bad bumps. The only other great episodes like the premiere were "Homecoming", and "Abandoned."
Your thoughts on the final season so far?

i have the same feeling...enough clois..is really annoying and boring...the last episode "Icarus" was the best one...i loved all the Carter-Oliver interaction...they are so funny together...so sad he died..but i loved the way he did sacrifice himself to protect Lois...he is a hero!! i also agree about tess...her story arc this season is really interesting.. and i miss Chloeeeeeee i really want her back.... It's not smallville without her... what about the necklace she sent to Lois?? i cant' remember her wearing it during the past seasons...maybe means something?? Till now i'm not enjoying the last season...maybe i was expecting too much....
