I agree with Amin Caluk, you need some of their lives included in the episodes. I'd totally ship Vincent and Tori. Adam and Cassie wouldn't be too bad as a pairing either. And I agree with the Vincent-part. I think there should be some kind of twisted ship between him and Tori that goes off and on... but nothing that would last till the end.

Okay, a discussion question for those waiting for Edge of Vision to start airing: Romance. Do you think it has a place in a show like Edge of Vision? Do you want to see some romantic subplots woven through the series? Would you rather I went the way of most procedurals and kept character relationships to a minimum? From what you know of the characters so far is there any you think are just meant to be a couple? At the moment I wondering how much time should be spent on characters personal lives and how much I should focus on the crime solving aspect. I could go either way at the moment. I could have very little romance or I could go about 40/60, as in 40% of the show dedicated to personal lives and 60% to storyline relevant plots. I just want to get a general opinion of what people want from the show/what they're expecting from it, so any opinions you can offer would be great I think you should have some degree of focus on their personal lives and I do think there should be relationships, although not too obvious ones at the start. I'd suggest shows like NCIS and Criminal Minds for inspiration regarding how much to show of your characters' personal lives.

I'm not overly fond of either of them as superheros but I'd go with Spiderman. Superman always seemed a little bit over the top for my liking XD Sticking with the superhero theme: Batgirl or Supergirl? Batgirl all the way! Darla or Drusilla? (From Buffy The Vampire Slayer)

I love sci fi and supernatural, especially when they're mixed together (think The X-Files, for example, or Smallville).

I like this pitch. It's something different to the other shows here at the VPN and the underlying premise seems really interesting. I liked what I read of the pilot script though it could do with a bit of refinement, though I assume since it's unfinished you haven't really gone through and edited much so it's not that big of a deal at the moment. I do have one problem and that's with the casting of Rex. I don't know, it could just be me but I don't think Jared Padalecki suits the character you've created. I think someone older might suit better, or at least someone who seems older. Again though, that's just my opinion. Anyway, lovely pitch and with a bit of work I think it could be something quite special Regarding the Rex-casting, well, I think people might have misunderstood his role. He is not meant as a mentor-figure for Rose... he is the same age as her, only with a very different background.

[glow=green,2,300]DAUGHTER OF THE SKIES[/glow] Rose has been a slave for most of her life... but a man named Rex one day saves her from her life and takes her to a society called The Children of The Earth where she is treated as a god almost... for she is the daughter of the skies. Rose has amazing healing powers... and probably a lot more unexplored powers. But there are sinister forces at work... sinister forces that want Rose and her powers for themselves. REGULAR CHARACTERS:CASSIDY FREEMAN as Rose, a young woman who has lived as a slave for most of her life... but one day everything changes for her. She is at first uncomfortable with being treated almost as a god... but slowly finds herself accepting her destiny. JARED PADALECKI as Rex, the man who saved Rose from slavery and a very experienced fighter. Unlike many of The Children of The Earth women, he has no magical abilities... but secretly desires them. OLIVIA WILDE as Danica, a Children of The Earth member with strong magical abilities. She is very talkative and Rex finds her annoying... Danica sneaks after Rex and Rose on their first mission together and shows her worth while out there on the field. RECURRING CHARACTERS:ANJELICA HUSTON as Latifa, a powerful magician and leader of The Children Of The Earth. TIM CURRY as The Supreme Lord, the monstruous leader of the arch-nemesis group of The Children Of The Earth, Lords Of The Mountains. He too is searching for Rose and now finds out that she is in the hands of The Children Of The Earth through his Oracle. HUNTER PARRISH as Flint, a Villager our trio encounter in the first episode. He helps them greatly when The Lords Of The Mountains attack and he has a very special "encounter" with Rose. Episode Count: 2 Episodes EPISODES:1x01 "Children of The Earth" Synopsis: Rose is rescued from slavery by a man named Rex, who then takes her to The Earthly Palace. There, she is treated almost as a god... and it appears she has a big destiny ahead of her. Rex and Rose (and Danica) embark on their first mission together... but it could end up being their last, when The Lords Of The Mountains set out after them. So, this is a series inspired by Legend of The Seeker... and I thought, why not add a female lead? That's not something I've seen in fantasy before. I haven't finished the pilot yet, but I've had it on my computer untouched for days... so I figured, I'll post it here and see if you think I should continue writing. strawberriescripts.webs.com/DAUGHTER%20OF%20THE%20SKIES.pdf

If it's a single guest appearence than it's fine, any longer than that you should probably ask the showrunner. I had the impression only REGULAR characters had that. Recurring characters should be fine, no matter what (Or it would be very hard to use actors as recurring characters, since that casting list up there is quite long).

While I do love the idea of an Alien film, set underwater. I'm not fully grasping how you would write it in 3D. Since it's a written script and not a visual presentation (aside from what you see in your mind). I don't see how writing little things like "The creature swims toward the camera and lunges out of the screen" would be a positive thing to add to a script. I like the idea an Alien film like this one, but to be brutally honest with you, titling it as a 3D virtual film, in my opinion, is a bad idea. Just because it's not technically Three Dimensional and also the formatting of the script would be kind of confusing and distracting. Alright, I'll skip the 3D-thing.

[glow=green,2,300]ALIEN: SUBMERSION[/glow] She terrorized Nostromo...She devastated LV-426...She killed everyone at Fiorina 'Fury' 161...She was resurrected onboard The USM Auriga...Now, years later, she returns... again.i]
Set 15 years after last film, "Alien: Submersion" takes us into a whole new dimension of the terror we know all too well. The massive luxury cruise-submarine The Amphitrite has been cruising the depths of the famous water-paradise Medusa 32 for years and years and the tourists just keep flowing in. On the night of its tenth anniversery, something strikes from the bottom of the ocean... creatures with mouths inside of their mouths and tails sharp enough to cut through flesh. The majority of the ship's crew and guests are killed and a handful survivors must band together and find a way to see the light of day again... but with water leaking in and the creatures lurking behind every corner, that won't be as easy. Ellen Ripley thought it was all over, but she was wrong... and she realizes that there is no such thing as coincidences. I was originally trying to write a Virtual Movie set underwater, but couldn't think of any monster. I kept thinking "Like Alien", until I came to think... why not Alien? So, I have decided to write a fifth Alien film, this time set mostly underwater.
CAST OF CHARACTERS:
HUNTER PARRISH as Clayton Lockley, a young man who's life resolves around jumping from woman to woman and doing a whole lot of drinking. He attends The Amphitrite's tenth anniversery together with his graduating class, hoping to set a record in the number of drinks drunk and women slept with... instead he is forced into a fight for survival, together with a handful of other survivors.
SIGOURNEY WEAVER as Ellen Ripley, who is fifteen years later again sucked into the nightmarish world. The Xenomorph threat again resurfaces and forces Ripley to again become the badass we all know her as.
ELIJAH WOOD as Athan Moore, owner and pilot of his precious ship The Kraken, which he sees as his own child. He is very snarky and sarcastic and only seems to be nice to his co-pilot and only friend, Dharma.
ANNA PAQUIN as Dharma Baxter, Athan's co-pilot and only friend. She and Athan have known each other since childhood and have spent most of their lives flying from planet to planet, always chasing after something valuable. Their interest onboard The Amphitrite is to steal a valuable diamond... but things go terribly wrong and a fight for survival begins.
JEAN LUC BILODEAU as Ryan Crane, a young waiter onboard The Amphitrite. He has a criminal past and is cunning with picking locks and stuff like that... things that might come handy when disaster strikes.
CHAD MICHAEL MURRAY as Jake Dick, a young aspiring intergalactic sportsman whose arrogance keeps landing him in trouble... this time isn't an exception.

I love this show... it's so exciting, I'm glued to the screen every time I watch it. I especially love the character of Amanda (Melinda Clarke).

Marita Covarrubias from The X-Files. Don't really know how to explain why I like her so much. I just love that she has this clouded and mysterious voice all the time and how she constantly jumps between sides. I tend to like those "jumpy" characters.

Sorry, didn't know where to post this. There's something weird going on ever since this new red layout. Sometimes, It simply says "Oops! Cannot show website" and sometimes it doesn't load at all. It's really annoying... I don't even know if I'm gonna be able to post this message without that annoying "Ooops!". Does anyone know what this is?

Quote from your post: But she still has the abilities of a vampire with super strength and leaping and the urge for blood.
If she still has the abilities and the urge for blood... then what changed? Isn't she technically still a Vampire then?
