^^ I second that. I'm really excited about this show! It has all the overlaying genres and features of a show that I love, and its going to be one of, if not the best addition to the new fall schedule

Thanks guys I've got big ideas for Edge of Vision. Because of the mystery element I've need to plan well ahead, even to the point where I have a rough plan for the second, third and fourth season (hopefully it will last at least that long ). I am very much looking forward to when it does start airing to see what everyone thinks.

woah! This may be one of the most original ideas I've seen on VPN so far! Seriously looking forward to reading this. I'm in love with the crime-solving aspect of the series, add supernatural plots to that, and it's just about heaven for me. Can't wait to read the pilot. It should be AMAZING!

Thank you Brian and Jason I'm so glad that people are liking the whole concept of it, especially the originality. Unlike doing a spinoff of an already running tv show I have to build a fan base from the ground up which is a little daunting but with positive opinions of it so far i'm feeling very confident. Hopefully you won't have to wait too long for the pilot episode, I'm almost done plotting each episode and from there i'll be moving on to the script writing (which thanks to my planning process won't take too long). Fingers crossed that I'll be able to announce a premiere date some time in the near future

I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Hey MJ, Love the concept of your story and the amount of effort you're putting into planing out a storyline with ideas that will carry over seasons. I'm also impressed with your characters personalities. Can tell from their descriptions theres going to be a nice bit of humour to balance out the darker aspects of the story. Can't wait to read it and hope it doesn't take you too long to premier your series.

Thank you Keisha Characters are a huge deal for me when it comes to writing. You can have the greatest plot idea in the world but if the characters aren't good it won't end up as something people really love, at least that's my opinion! Yes, hopefully there will be a bit of humour. With the darker overtones of the main story (not so much in this season but in later seasons) you really need the humour and quirkiness of some characters to balance it out. You've got characters like Lloyd, Tori, Shayne and Nora who are all pretty seasoned law enforcement officers and with that comes a dark kind of humour and then you've got Cassie and Adam who are kind of removed from the law enforcement side of things and there's something really refreshing about their attitudes. Oh my, I seem to have gone on quite a bit about the characters there XD There's a note for everyone, I love talking about this series so if you want to find out more feel free to ask away! Make sure if they're questions pertaining to what will happen during the first season you do it over on the spoilers board, I don't want to ruin the mystery for people who want to be surprised

I'm getting the episodes done, albeit very slowly. Funnily enough I was writing at a much better pace while Uni was on and now that I'm on break I just can't seem to get into my writing groove XD I'm going to give Edge of Vision a break over christmas/new year (because I'll be pretty busy then anyway) and maybe write a bit of fanfiction during that time to get back into the feel of writing.
In the first few weeks of the new year I'll be focusing on getting episodes 1-6 finished and edited and hopefully start airing before I go back to uni at the start of March.

Okay, a discussion question for those waiting for Edge of Vision to start airing: Romance. Do you think it has a place in a show like Edge of Vision? Do you want to see some romantic subplots woven through the series? Would you rather I went the way of most procedurals and kept character relationships to a minimum? From what you know of the characters so far is there any you think are just meant to be a couple? At the moment I wondering how much time should be spent on characters personal lives and how much I should focus on the crime solving aspect. I could go either way at the moment. I could have very little romance or I could go about 40/60, as in 40% of the show dedicated to personal lives and 60% to storyline relevant plots. I just want to get a general opinion of what people want from the show/what they're expecting from it, so any opinions you can offer would be great

I'd suggest shows like NCIS and Criminal Minds for inspiration regarding how much to show of your characters' personal lives.

I agree with Amin Caluk, you need some of their lives included in the episodes. I'd totally ship Vincent and Tori. Adam and Cassie wouldn't be too bad as a pairing either.

And I agree with the Vincent-part. I think there should be some kind of twisted ship between him and Tori that goes off and on... but nothing that would last till the end.

Yeah definitely be awesome to see a dark twisted relationship there. I suppose it would have to be more of a suggested relationship, what with their roles on opposite sides of the law and all

Wow, you guys sound like you're really into the most dramatic relationship I could possibly do Not going to rule out a Vincent/Tori relationship though because I have to admit it's crossed my mind a few times...
