VPN's Official Description:: Rose has spent so long trying to find her way back to the Doctor and she ends up left again at Bad Wolf Bay with his clone. How will she take the "failure"? And how will Ten II fit into this new dimension? A month later Rose is upset by being left by the Doctor and throws herself into her work at Torchwood. A strange ship crash lands to earth sending out a message that couldn't be translated. :: Exclusive Interview ::
with Billie Piper

The new just broke that Science Fiction has returned to the VPN in the form of a Dr. Who spin-off titled "Bad Wolf". The cast and crew have been extremely busy getting to work on the series, yet we were able to get Billie Piper to sit down and answer some questions.

You said in a previous interview that you believed Rose coming back wouldn't happen. Are you glad to be proven wrong with this new series?

"Glad? I'm ecstatic!" Billie laughs " I thought that her story was done, but then I was approached to be on this show and after reading the script I couldn't resist giving it a shot."

What would you say is the biggest different between the Rose viewers came to love in Dr. Who and the Rose we will see in Bad Wolf?

"Well we saw Rose towards the end of Series Four, but not much of how she was changed is revealed. She's older, obviously,which I love because I am too. It is like the character has grown and matured like I did. Not only that but she's made a life for herself using the things the Doctor taught her so she is able to stand up on her own now and doesn't exactly need to be saved."

So you'd say this Rose could handle herself in a fight better than before?

"Oh definitely. Did you see her gun? She kicks butt now."

There is a new addition to the Tyler family, Tony, who is played by your own son. What is it like having him around the set?

"It's brilliant. The worst part of shooting a show is having to be separated from family and not being around. With Winston playing my 'brother' I get to have him around. It makes things much easier one me."

According to what we've heard the show is showing the more domestic side of living on the TARDIS as well as the adventures. What do you think of this tone shift?

"To be honest it is something I was worried about. Yeah we get to see more about the relationships, but something great about Doctor Who was the magic and mystery of it all. However, our writer and director is wonderful and I'm certain she can handle it and make it just as wonderful as the original."

So we'll see more of Rose and the Clone's relationship. Do you think that it will be a romantic one?

"I really can't say," Billie smiles secretively "Rose was so in love with the Doctor. I suppose we'll just have to wait and see."

Alright last question. What is it like working with David again?

"Oh Lord. It is...beyond explaining. David and I have stayed friends after I left the show and spending so much time with him is amazing fun. I'm so lucky to work with him again. I hope the viewers enjoy the show half as much as I am right now."

:: Casting News ::

It has been confirmed that two more actors shall join the show with guest-starring roles in the first season. The first being Anna Friel (of Pushing Daisies and Land of the Lost) playing Dr. Amelia Evans, who debuts in the pilot episode. The second being Andrew Lee Potts (of Primeval and Syfy's Alice) playing Garrick Ford.

After the announcement was made we were able to catch up with the two and get their statements on their parts in the new series.

"I play the part of Rose's friend at Torchwood." Anna says "With Mickey gone and no Doctor around Amelia is somebody she can rely on and confide in."

There is no set amount of episode she will be appearing in but it is assured that she will be seen a few times during the season.

Andrew Lee Pott's character is a bit more of an enigma at this point. It is revealed that his character come into play during the show's fourth episode "Out of Balance". When asked what his role in the series is he refused to give too many details only stating that he was "very excited" about his character.

:: EXCLUSIVE: Official Air Date Set ::

After much anticipation and waiting the official air date for "Bad Wolf" has been set for June 3rd! When asked why the announcement took so long the creator and director replied, "It was a matter of waiting to hear about a conflict. Fortunately for viewers, the conflict no longer matters and things should begin the first Sunday of June." It is fortunate because if there had been a conflict "Bad Wolf" would have not premiered until mid August.

Uh...yes! I'm heaps excited for this show! Hopefully I can get these credits done waaaaay before June, and hopefully there'll be a lot of juicy spoilers to tide us over until then! This is a series I'm really excited about, and I can't wait for it to finally launch its first season here! XD

with David Tennant

With the premiere of "Bad Wolf" quickly approaching we were barely able to pry leading man David Tennant from his work to give an exclusive on his role in the new Sci-Fi series.

You left "Bad Wolf's" parent show to expand your horizons and move on to other things. Did you ever think you'd be back playing the Doctor again?

"I'm not playing the Doctor," David responds slyly "I'm playing his clone, John Smith."

Alright then, what are the differences between the Doctor and your new character John Smith.

"The main difference is the he has one heart. He is half human and not Time Lord. Characteristics though...he has a bit of Donna in him. He can get a bit of her attitude and he gets angry sometimes."

And what is his relationship with Rose going to be like? Will there be romance in the TARDIS?

"That is confidential." The Scottish actor answers with a completely straight face. "Need to know basis only."

Can you actually answer any questions about the series?

" I'm actually under strict orders to keep things quiet. The director has a lot of fantastic plans for this season and none of us want anything getting out before hand. However, I will say that it is going to be a great ride."

What is it like being on the set all the time after recently becoming a husband and the father of two?

The Bad Wolf actor smiles at the mention of his kids. "Honestly, I miss them. Working with Billie again is great, we both have families now but her son gets to be on set with us. Not something I get to have....I may have to negotiate that in my next contract."

So working with Billie again is fun?

"Not at all. I lied before." David laughs " No that's a lie. Billie and I have so much fun on set together and sometimes it is hard for us to be entirely serious when we need to be."

Do you have anything else to say about the show that starts this June?

"Everyone should tune in and see what happens next with Rose and John Smith. If you don't I'm out of a job and nobody wants that."
