On the outskirts of Racoon City, a small suburban city located in Pennsylvania, there have been reports of bizarre murders. The victims were eaten with signs of cannibalism. The Racoon City Police Department assigned S.T.A.R.S. (Special Tactics And Rescue Service) to investigate the murders. Bravo team is sent into investigate but after contact is lost with them, Alpha team goes into investigate their disappearance. That is when the nightmare begins... They find Bravo teams helicopter but are soon chased by wild, savage and strangely mutilated dogs. They take refuge in a mansion but soon discover that they may be no less safe in here. They discover the mansion is infested with the undead, zombies, along with other unnatural creatures and learn of a conspiracy that goes right down to the very foundation of Raccoon City... ( Julia Voth) Jill Valentine is a member of S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team. At 24 years of age, she is the oldest woman in S.T.A.R.S. She is strong and copes well under pressure, having a record of having cool judgment that has kept herself and others alive. ( Jamie Bamber) Chris Redfield is also a member of Alpha Team in S.T.A.R.S. Unlike Jill, he does not cope so well when under pressure, instead he tends to become rough and angry. At the age of 25, his hot-head personality has got him kicked out of the Air-Force three years ago, and after a year of unemployment, joined S.T.A.R.S. ( Ray Winstone) Barry Burton is the weapon specialist of S.T.A.R.S., being part of Alpha Team. He is a family man to the heart, calling both his wife and kids and S.T.A.R.S. his family. At the age of 38, he is the second oldest member of S.T.A.R.S. and has been part of it since its creation. ( Scout Taylor-Compton) Rebecca Chambers is the youngest and newest member of S.T.A.R.S, joining Bravo team as the only S.T.A.R.S. medic. She is a little timid and feels a little intimidated by the other members, being both the youngest and one of the only females, the other being Jill. Even though she is 19, she had already gone through University, being both gifted and taught from a very young age at home. ( James Marsters) Albert Wesker is the captain of Alpha Team as well as the entire S.T.A.R.S. unit. His personality is usually cold and emotionless, although he does open a little around old friends. His most distinguishing feature is his sunglasses which he never takes off. He also hates the name "Albert" and only goes by "Wesker". Creators notesThis is my first pitch. I know my graphics suck badly, but its the best I can do. This is basically an adaption of the first Resident Evil video game. While it's story will follow the same line, there will be more to it, with many elements being explored more while bringing in new parts altogether. The characters will also have more depth than they did in the games, plot holes will be filled in, and the more unrealistic elements will be removed.
I can see a movie series coming from this. I have a good idea what will happen in the next 2 films and a rough idea what will happen after that. You may say that there is already a movie series based on Resident Evil but those films really suck badly.

Transylvania? Seriously? And by the way, isn't it kind of hypocritical of you to say you sort of liked the films on MSN and then go and say they sucked badly. First you say one thing, and then another. Other than that... I think this could be good. I'd love to help, being a Resident Evil fan myself. But seriously... Transylvania? I beg you, please edit it to America. Racoon City is not in Transylvania. That thing alone would kind of ruin it for me, lol. I like everyone you've cast (especially James Marsters as Wesker), except Chris. That actor just doesn't strike me as Chris.

Transylvania? Crap. HUGE mistake there, sorry guys, I'll edit it.
Casting these guys was hard. I am open to suggestions for other actors.
Also our msn chat is kinda limited to msn so...yeah. Anyway, what I meant is that the movies do suck, critically, but they are a guilty pleasure of mine.

I've been a fan of the Resident Evil movies. I haven't seen the third one yet, but the first two were pretty damn awesome. I think the lead actress saves some of the choppy writing, but overall, it was a fantastic movie.
So being a fan of those, I'm excited to see what you bring to your own interpretation. The casting and characters looks great, but like peanutlady said, I'm not feeling the Chris casting. I don't see Nick Lachey in this.

Thanks for the support Jack.
Casting these guys was a bitch, so if you have any suggestions for Chris, I'm happy to take ideas.
If you guys like it, I'll start writing soon.

Update:
This is well underway, I'm around 1/5 of the way through the first draft. I should be speeding this up now that I've worked out each characters path and development now.
I've worked out roughly 6 films will take place, with the possibilty of an "Origin" film and possibly a mini-series or two as well. May sound like alot, hell it is alot, but I'm a huge Resident Evil fan and want to give it the attention and detail it deserves.
As for the Chris actor situation, I've found someone who looks a little more like Resident Evil 1 Chris does: Jamie Bamber. Tell me what you think, or if I should change him, or whatever.

Ah, this sounds pretty awesome. Although I don't like James Masters as Wesker.
Is Wesker going to be the main villian? Please tell me he'll get a better send off then he did in the train wreck that was Resident Evil 5?
Sorry, big Resident Evil fan too! Can't wait to read.

I would like to give you an idea, but you know, spoilers and all that. These movies will be a little different from the games, so certain storylines will change, or be removed. New ones will be put in. Characters will have actual personalities, yeah I'm fixing alot of flaws in the games.
I also pretend that Resident Evil 5 never existed, so don't expect anything that bad, or anything as stupid as the A.I. either.
Good to hear back from a Resident Evil fan, and like I've said before, if you have any suggestions on casting, I will happily take it to heart. Thanks!

To be honest, I'm not really sure who'd I'd cast as who. I don't really know about the other actors, but I don't see James Masters as Spike but I can't think of anyone who could play him.
One thing I do say is: please, put more then just zombies in there. Put some dogs and hunters and such because that's one thing which really annoyed me about the movies.
I am generally excited about reading this.

There is definetly going to be more than just zombies, that's one of the things I love about Resident Evil. The diversity of monsters. So there is gonna be more than just zombies. And thanks for reply again.

I think Jamie Bamber looks much better for Chris. Good choice! Overall, I'm really looking forward to seeing what you do with this.

Ok, its been awhile since theres been any update on this, but it still is being written. I had finished two drafts of the script when I realised that I was basically just re-writing the game. So, now I'm re-writing it, so that may take some time. I will update the pitch in a few days or so.
On a slightly off topic note, I saw Resident Evil: Afterlife. I'm gonna review it, but don't expect a very positive review.

So, I've been looking for other shows and movies to "work" on. And I love Resident Evil the most, so... any chance I could help you with the script? (:

I've been away for ages, so sorry for being so late.
Anyway, the script is close to finished so I don't need any help. If I do a second one, maybe. I'll see.

Oh wow! Resident Evil done right!! I like your casting pretty well...'cept I always pictured Carey Mulligan or Natalie Portman as Rebecca. They both have short hair but I leaned towards Carey because she had a youthfullness in her face that Natalie doesn't have. Other than that I like this pitch and I LOOOVE Wesker! DOWN WITH FREAKING ALICE!
Can't wait to read!

Well, antichrist, you know how I feel about this pitch. I think it's a great idea. The choice for Wesker is a little bit questionable, but not one that I'm completely opposed to. It's MUCH better than that crap they did for the movies...I hated that guy as Wesker. But, then again, the movies were a disaster regardless. I am happy to see someone basing the movie on the GAME, how it was MEANT to be.
I'm also glad that you picked up on the fact that Raccoon City is in Pennsylvania. Not many people I know have picked up on that detail.
