You just like breaking my heart.lol Will the League be there or at least somewhat referenced in the world that could be? I promise it'll make sense when you read the episode.  As for the Justice League, I don't think they're referenced in the episode.  I'm not too sure.  There is an explanation as to why Clark can't come in and help save Gotham that's pretty interesting, but as far as I can remember, there's no Justice League references. Yay. And I'm honestly excited that Clark from earth-1 can finally make a WT appearance. I mean he was in episode 12 last season, but I'm excited for a full blown appearance!!! I'm honestly itching for a 10 year reunion in WT. I would love to see you write the dynamics for the Smallville gang on WT. If you get my meaning.haha

I keep reading the spoilers for the 50th episode. And I am really excited to see Pete be an A.R.G.U.S agent. Makes me all happy you're using him for good. One thing on Smallville I wanted them to do was have Pete show up as an agent for the red queen.

One thing on Smallville I wanted them to do was have Pete show up as an agent for the red queen. I had a lot of fun writing Pete. In actual continuity, we learn that he is still an ARGUS agent. While he doesn't appear in 317, we will learn that he follows that same role in the real world and does have ties to Lana, just not in a romantic sense. I think him falling into that role we'll see him in for the 50th just makes all the sense in the world to me -- he was always struggling with Clark's secret, and I wanted to show that because of growing up in Smallville, and because of the history and experiences he had with Clark, he was always destined to kind of follow that same path and end up doing something more than just being an ordinary, average guy. I also had a lot of fun writing the Steve/Pete scenes so I want to keep that bromance alive in the real world. Lana, however, does not end up as an ARGENT agent in the real world, but she does tie into the organisation in a way that will be explained in 317.

I was excited on Trinity when he had one with Jake. It was great and it developed nicely. I'm also happy that Lana is back in the fold. I loved that friendship to death. The writers made that relationship blossom from two girls infatuated with the same dude, to best friends and confidants and almost sister like. On the Trinity reboot, Chris and I literally wanted to use that relationship to drive why she stopped in odysessy and started the Isis foundation. So I can't wait to see the return of that dynamic.

I'm a huge Pete/Jake fan. Sadly, I think Chris is done with the show. I wanted to discuss the idea of launching Trinity off of Watchtower again, but Chris has a lot of other exciting projects he's been working on, both here on theVPN and over on MZP, and so I'm just going to write for the character of Lana in the way that I feel will hopefully do her justice, and honour certain elements of Trinity along the way. Speaking of Lana, she will be facing her own little crisis when we revisit her in "Wanted." I'm really proud of her storyline, and I'm proud of the dynamic she shares with Chloe. They really are sisters, and Chloe did put her on her family tree, and I feel like that kind of dynamic is something we need on the show. While it would be nice to have Chloe and Lois, she has her own destiny in Metropolis to fulfil, and by next season, when certain things play out, it's going to be difficult to have Lois on the show, so Lana -- who doesn't really have this destined path and this set city she needs to be in -- is a much better character to give us this dynamic, and to show us another journey, similarly to Chloe's, in that isn't necessarily set in stone. "Wanted" definitely is a follow up to "Requiem" in Season Eight of Smallville. It's a follow up to the power suit storyline, and adds another layer to it, and it's also a turning point for Lana, who at this point in the game, doesn't want to spend the rest of her life just "surviving," she wants to live. I really hope ya'll like what's planned for her, and I'm hoping to bring her back as a regular character, if not, a major reoccurring character for next season.

I'm moving out of my childhood home, and starting University this week. I have an online scriptwriting course to get finished that I started last year, and I've got to go out and grab myself a new job soon too. So tackling twenty two episodes for Season Three proved to be a lot more difficult, but I really want to air the last eight episodes without any interruptions and I think I can get the next few episodes finished for an October release Happy Birthday for when you turn 23, buddy. Hope you have one hell of an epic day

AAHHHH! So many good things happening in these final episodes of season three! The appearance of Lana Lang probably has me the most excited. I'm very much looking forward to her reuniting with Chloe as well as their relationship. I think they have such a great, sisterly bond and to see that being explored now that they're full fledged adults with their own destines is going to be nothing short of amazing. Another thing I'm looking forward to is Kyle. He's been such a standout this season. "Overload" is definitely something that I'm excited to read because the strain of the relationship with him and Chloe is so fascinating, because we have this scared man with all of this power that just wants to protect everyone and confided so much in Chloe to only have his trust betrayed by her and... ugh, so excited. "Salvation" is going to be absolutely perfection. I can already tell. Anything Helena-centric is pure amazement and despite that the villain for that episode sounds so interesting and the entire situation of building back her relationship with Chloe is surely going to make it a standout. That was one long run on sentence, but whatever. Anyway, reuniting her with the people she planned on killing is probably going to be very heartbreaking because I think it's going to force Helena to actually go back into the darkness and kill them. I also think it'll end with Lisa's death, but we're gonna save my heart from going on too much with that one. Other notes: um wtf those graphics are amazing, you wizard; Oliver Queen is back bitchez; why is everyone so adamant about locking Chloe up in "Betrayal" omg; Perry having nothing but life-altering decisions this season like this dude needs a cocktail or something; and the Joker coming back to what seems SHOOT BARBARA UMMMMM? This post was a mess but your spoilers were fantastic.

So.....I must have died and gone to Heaven because new info on WTR's final 8 episodes is here I know this is gunna sound terrible. But Im excited for Episode 19 than any other. I have loved your characterization of Perry basically from the start of the show. The fact that you always made Perry's destiny the most unattainable was a very smart idea and I love that you gave him the Dr. Fate Storyline. Dr.Fate is one of my favorite characters. And the fact that Perry might become him.....GAH. That makes me super excited!!! And I know for a fact it wont happen, but the fact that you are playing with that Idea. God I wonder what Chloe and Lois have to say about his little "relationship" with the Fate Helmet!!! Im also excited for Betrayal. The return of Oliver, who I've missed more than anything this season, Dinah (After seeing your Canary vids, I got a new perspective on her), and hopefully Mia *crosses fingers* Countdown is also another episode that I have waited for because it sees the return of Clark,Lana,Pete,Lois, and Ollie. All in one episode. We also get the appearance of Wonder Woman and the Sullivan-Queen's happily ever after and Chloe's difficult choice that she must make. All great episodes that I cant wait to read . BRING ON SEASON 3B

I'm very much looking forward to her reuniting with Chloe as well as their relationship. I think they have such a great, sisterly bond and to see that being explored now that they're full fledged adults with their own destines is going to be nothing short of amazing. Writing Lana was something that was a little daunting to me at first, purely because I can't wrote that character off in my mind when Trinity was airing, and never really thought I'd have to tap into that character and her mindset and all of that in order to bring her to life on 'Watchtower.' Chris did a really great job with her, and so my idea for her was to just start fresh, and to just continue on from where we last saw her in continuity, which was "Requiem" in Smallville, and see where this life had taken her. As awesome as it would be to keep the continuity of "Trinity" involved, and picture all those awesome adventures she had with Quentin (I shipped it so hard), Pete, Cynthia, and Jake, it just made more sense to start new and to not duplicate or redo storylines created by Chris for his show, so when she resurfaces, she's lead quite a heroic life for the past six years, and has reached a point that I think every hero has where she kind of wants to stop, to slow down and stop "surviving" to start "living." The Chloe and Lana dynamic is definitely the key to bringing her on the show in the first place, and hopefully her role in this episode and the reception from it will indicate whether or not people want to see more of it because I would like to include her in the fourth season in a larger role should I figure out a more solid, episode-to-episode arc for her rather than just ideas jotted on paper or floating in my head. But there is definitely a lot of great Chloe/Lana moments in 317. I'm so glad ya'll like Kyle so much. "Overload," in a lot of ways, is the climax of his story. There are a lot of characters this season, and a lot of story that needs to wrap up in the last eight episodes, and 315 starts that process for the Kyle character. I think you'll be surprised with his direction in the final episodes, and an indication of that direction will be found in 315 Love all the speculation, man! When it came to figuring out what criminals should be involved in Weston's twisted little game, I instantly knew that for a Helena-centric episode, we needed to go back to that list and go back to the beginning of what shaped her arc this season to really find the climax of it all. The last time we saw the list, Gordon had it, so there'll be a little bit of an explanation needed as to how Weston required it, but I promise for a lot of development for Helena within her own arc for that episode. It's also a really strong Chloe/Helena episode, and a huge turning point in Chloe's overall journey for the series as a direct result to Helena. Thank you so much. I only did them out of procrastination. I went to sit down and finish writing "Salvation" then figured I could just make the title cards and post them for spoilers. So that means a lot. I had a lot of fun making the title cards for "Countdown" and "Broken." Oliver is back! I'm so excited for everyone to see what his arc is all about "Betrayal" is going to be one of my favourite episodes to write. It's very much about the core characters, and about this dysfunctional team they all make with Chloe at the forefront of it. It tests their relationships a little bit, and also brings back another certain team from Star City Once people read 315, and then go on to read the following episodes leading up to 319, you'll see why "Fate" will be such a huge episode. With these descriptions, I've just made them a one-sentence kind of thing, so with an episode title like that, you will also see things like the creation of Clayface and Hush in the present, and we'll also be seeing the return of Holly Robinson (who was revealed to be alive in 314 during the Selina/Hush confrontation). Dude, thank you so much. This made my otherwise shitty morning amazing!

So.....I must have died and gone to Heaven because new info on WTR's final 8 episodes is here The excitement and response from you and Brady has made me die and go to heaven, so thank you No, I like the support for Perry. He's been the underdog of the season, for me, and I think episode fifteen will serve as a real nice send off for the character up until we revisit him in episode nineteen. You'll understand what I'm talking about when the episode airs, but I'm really happy it seems to be the episode you're really excited for out of the lot. When it came to Perry, I was always worried there'd be this question of "he's not getting any younger, so why isn't he at the Daily Planet yet?" The truth is... this show isn't identical to the comics, and I always saw a lot of potential in having Perry on the show. His storyline may be wrapping up, but I've done a lot with the character in the past three seasons, and have been most excited about his storyline on this one. I just hope his journey to getting to where he needs to be has been an interesting one, and hope you like how it all ends for him Episode nineteen does toy with the possibility of Perry becoming Doctor Fate. There is, however, a Doctor Fate guiding him to make this decision and the person under the helmet is someone we won't find out until the final season. The fate helmet has really woven itself into the fabric of the show, and been there since the first season. It seemed like an important aspect to have considering Chloe's involvement with it in the final season of Smallville, so having it intertwine with Perry's final storyline for the series... it's going to be a lot of fun to write, and hopefully a lot of fun for you to read. And you still won't guess who ends up being Doctor Fate That's a personal favourite I'm excited to write. I keep saying that, don't I? I think I'm just more excited about this season than I have with the other two because there hasn't been any fillers which is nice. Following up on Dinah after her arc mid-season was always the plan, and there's a nice twist in her story. Bringing Oliver back is something I've announced so hopefully there's some hype behind his return that will be delivered on, and of course Mia will be back for this episode The fiftieth is a lot of fun. I think if you can come into that episode with the idea that it will be exploring the past, present and future, then it will hopefully live up to the hype it's received. Thank you so much for the feedback, Karl. I'm a little late to responding -- had to run some errands this morning -- but I really appreciate every word, and every piece of speculation and praise you give me!

Just In: Vera Farmiga to Recur as DC Comics' Sarah Essen, Gordon's Ex and Replacement at The GCPD! In the back half of the season, Bates Motel star Vera Farmiga will join the cast as DC Comics' "Sarah Essen." In keeping with DC Comics lore, Sarah will share a romantic past with Dylan Walsh's Commissioner Gordon, who is currently under suspension due to his involvement with the vigilante known as The Batman. Sarah, a sergeant transferred from Chicago, is said to fill the void felt from Gordon's absence, and debut in the eighteenth episode of the season, titled "Salvation."
"Sarah and Gordon have a very complicated history, and are an unfinished chapter in a very long book that is their lives," series creator Jack Malone told of the comic book couple's on-screen relationship, "We're not only interested in building a larger presence for the GCPD and its officers, but in looking toward the future, we can see a lot of potential for Sarah [on Watchtower] and a lot of potential in exploring a romantic storyline for Gordon." While it is uncertain if Sarah will cross paths with Gordon this season, her introduction will pave the way for more stories in the future. "You don't land someone as talented as Vera [Farmiga] without giving her really great material to work with, and we look forward to creating just that for her role and for our show."
Vera Farmiga shares her first scene with Christian Bale, and is expected to recur throughout the rest of the season.

@karl- First of all: great use of a gif. I love that woman so freakin' much. Secondly, Sarah and Gordon won't have a previous marriage. Their romantic past was the catalyst for Gordon/Barbara's divorce -- Barbara who we learnt passed away, resulting in the custody agreement of Barbara Gordon (Emma Stone) to dissolve, and bring her onto the show. Sarah moved to Chicago for reasons she wouldn't explain, and Gordon was left completely alone. They're an unfinished chapter that the remaining series of Watchtower will re-open from episode eighteen onwards
