"Miss Me?" Review Audition is back with a nice little reunion for Alisha, a little explanation as to where she has been, and a lot of development in the characters of Angela/Jordan who continue to become one of the most pivotal and interesting aspects of the series as it begins the back half of its successful second sequence. Time to review! First, I have to talk about Jordan. I've got to say, I've really enjoyed the development of his character in this one, and how the constant squabbling between him, and Alex/David (previously Alex/Alisha), has built towards an extremely serious issue, and scratched the surface of anger problems, and possibly some other little to-be-known problems of Jordan. The fact that its grated under his skin for so long that he's actually scaring Angela on the topic of killing them is something I didn't really expect. We've seen hints of Jordan's anger, primarily expressed through the abusive nature of his relationship, but now we're seeing that transfer into the feud he has with Alex and David. Now, he doesn't seem to be able to control it, and its even scaring Angela- she can't hold him back anymore. Seriously, I commend you on how brilliantly you've built this up over the course of the series so far, and I can't wait to see what this grows into. I know there's a big finale planned this sequence, and I can't help but think Jordan is going to do something that could lead to serious consequences, and we might even lose someone to his anger, whether its himself, or a fan-favourite character of ours. I don't want to lose anyone though, dammit! The only real disappointment in this episode was a certain aspect of Alisha's return. I think there was a lot of opportunity to show Alisha in the office, filing paperwork, etc, and seeing how mundane and boring that is- possibly flash back to some of her acting/passionate moments during the first sequence, and end with her in this office, bored out of her mind, doing a pointless job, while hearing her voice over. I felt like it was very "smack-bang-boom" in the approach to throw all the information at us in one fowl swoop, rather than let us see for ourselves- that whole 'show not tell crap' you get pounded into you in high school for "narrative writing". (*cringe*) But you know what I mean, Hahaha! I just think the impact could have been a lot higher if we had seen what she went through, rather than hear it. So that brought the episode down for me a little bit. But, on the other hand, she's back, and I loved seeing the David/Alisha moment that stemmed from it, the topic of Rose (aka "the new girl bestie" ahaha) and see Paula's hilarious reaction to her return. Looking forward to the rest of the sequence. It looks very promising!! 8/10

Thanks for the review, Jack! Even though this wasn't your favorite episode, I'm still really glad you enjoyed it! Also hope you enjoy what else there is to come! Anyways, time to reply. LET'S. DO. THIS. Jordan's story still has a lot more in store. In the next episode, he does something pretty big that could seriously injure a number of people, and you'll see what his reaction will be soon after. He's very, very angry. And Angela discovers that she has to do something about that, whether it end up good or bad her way you'll have to wait and see. XD But yes, the finale is HUGE, if I do say so myself, haha! It's probably the most intense Audition episode yet, so... Hopefully you'll enjoy that! I can see what you mean by Alisha's little "explanation" could have been better, especially if flashbacks were thrown in there. I don't really have an explanation, it's just the way I thought it worked at the time. XD But yeah, I could see how seeing her being so bored could have had a bigger effect of "wow, she reaaaaaaaally wants to be back in Hollywood" So like I said, no real explanation. XD There will definitely be some Dalisha (...?) scenes and some Alex/Alisha scenes! Oh, and you think Paula's funny now? Just wait, her heart is basically ripped out. ENJOOOOOOOY! PS/ Sorry this reply is so lame. This is like the fifth time I've tried to do this, and it keeps closing out on me. XD

Episode 207 - Wow. Where has time gone and where have I been. I guess I'm only a week behind but I got to say it is SOOO good to have Audition back. It's one of those pleasurable shows to check out. It's quick and easy and really a good inspiration. Okay enough sucking up...I'm so glad that she's back, but for how long? Is it one of those - "Okay she's back but she's going to feel guilty and she's going back to her mom, blah blah..." - The reunion was kind of good especially you know who. The clown in the corner, sweet Paula!! The day she leaves the show you will probably lose a reader (lol) - Just kidding of course! Jordon is starting to get scary! So he's going to go to the scary side of things I guess. I think Angela better watch out because Jordon is going to try something and when it doesn't work she is going to be the one in the crosshairs. I can't wait to see what is coming next!! 8/10

Welcome back, Andrew! Glad you're glad Audition is back! Haha, really excited you're glad to have Alisha back. And, for now, she's definitely here to stay. She's really realized that she made the wrong choice, and her intentions are set on staying in Hollywood. LOL. I don't think I'd ever have Paula leave the show, because I think every person that reads this show would probably stop and/or send me very wordy messages, haha. Jordan's arc the rest of this sequence is really set on getting his competition out of the picture, and Angela is going to be a bystander that gets into the middle of the fire, either it be willingly or not. Hope you enjoy the rest of the sequence!

"Oh, Hey You!" Review Another game-changing episode in a sequence full of exciting moments. I can't say it enough how much the development of Jordan's character and his role on the show, has really become my favourite thing about Audition at the moment. Where the direction his character is going, and the already established unpredictability of the show, really has me on the edge of my seat, just waiting to find out what happens with this storyline. You've blended all these genres together, and I feel like we're starting to see some new ones take shape in the way you're writing his descent into, you know, all-consuming anger, jealousy, etc. It has Angela shaken to her core, and I love that. She knows him more than anyone, and at this point, she's scared and unsure of what he's capable of, of the monster he's becoming. Its- ugh, seriously, so much praise to you man for turning something a few people painted as "stereotyped bad guys" or whatever at the beginning of the series into probably one of my top 3 storylines of the series so far. UGH. Can't stress how much I loved it.
Also, dealing with Alisha's return kind of introduced some new elements to be dealt with, like Alex's guilt. I think, like Rose suggested, it is important for him to tackle that guilt, and bring Alisha into questioning on that. They need a real good heart-to-heart. So I'm looking forward to that. Again, the David/Alisha stuff- I love it. I love that this relationship hasn't had a lot of onscreen development, yet its still preserved its impact for me, and now that they're back, its just increased even more. Its kind of "Chlollie" on Smallville in that way- they never had a lot of onscreen moments in comparison to other relationships on the show, yet they were my favourite. Love it!
This particular episode I think the back half was what made me enjoy it so much. There were quite a few awkward moments, like with Paula in the beginning of the episode, that made it a bit hard to be sucked straight into it all (despite my love for her) and I was a bit confused as to what was going on, but it worked- if that makes any sense at all. But anyway, I'm just reeling from the excitement of what this second half of the sequence seems to be building up towards. Nothing but praise for you Brady, nothing. but. praise. 10/10.

RESPONSE: Jack Malone's Review of 2.08 "Oh, Hey You!"WOOT! Glad you enjoyed the episode, Jack! I was more nervous about this episode than the others, except the finale of course, because it did have such a huge moment in it. Jordan's development really has been interesting to write this season, you know... attempting to make him believably psychotic, haha! Wait... you're on the edge of your seat. In Audition? AUDITION? -checks off list- And we move on... Jordan's anger-filled soul quickly realizes something in a later episode, and while it's not necessarily him going "hey, I should blah blah blah", it's hinted at, and he quickly directs his anger towards something else, whether that be back to Angela, or to another character individually. Angela truly does want Jordan to change, there's no doubt about it. She does make a quick decision that refers back to her old instincts in a later episode, but I don't think you can really fault her for it -- BRADY, STOP GETTING INTO LATER EPISODES. Hahaha, I told people it was coming! The characters just needed to be properly developed, and from your reaction, they have been. Alex and Alisha share a big scene in the next episode where Alex pretty much comes out and says "Look, tell me straight up..." and they're both forced to be honest with each other, which really goes back to "yo, we're best friends". And while no one breaks down and cries, it's a definite heart-to-heart. The David/Alisha romance (Dalisha...?) really hasn't had as much focus as I would have liked it to, but there's huge development in that aspect next sequence, that I'm really excited to see what people think about it, like... basically everything in this show, but anyways. Hahaha, yeah that makes perfect sense... mhm. But no, thanks for the review, Jack! Really glad you're enjoying this sequence, and hopefully you enjoy what's to come (ugh, I say that every time, like what the heck get a new ending phrase, Brady. GAH)! Oh, and I'll add something else: Like I've said before, THE. FINALE. IS. INTENSE. ENJOOOOOOY!

Episode 208 - Back into the world of Alex and Alisha and the wacky hair brained antics of Paula. This was a pretty basic episode with the clan hanging out at a cafe but then you have Jordon who comes on the scene and starts a fire? Hmm? I think this boy needs to be taught a very humiliating lesson in the art of being normal (lol). I don't think that Angela wants to be there anymore and I really think for her own good and safety that she needs to drop him and drop him quick. It's like he doesn't have a conscience what-so-ever about what he does. It will be interesting to see what happens in the next two episodes. 7/10

Thanks for the review, Andrew! Always great to hear people's thoughts! Jordan is definitely growing more and more into the mindset of "oh, I need to get rid of these people, or I'm never going to be famous," and it's really starting to worry Angela, because, as of right now, she's the only one who cares what happens to him. Obviously she doesn't want to be around Jordan when he's so hostile, but she does want him to change, which is really touched upon in the next couple of episodes. They share a pretty pivotal scene in the finale that I hope everyone enjoys.

"Courage Is All It Takes" Review This was quite a calm before the storm, episode, or- more specifically, after the storm. I like that it took a bit of a break from all the chaos ensuing in these past few episodes and really focused in on Alisha's return, what path she's about to head down, and really effectively dealing with all the issues her departure, and later return, has created. Alex finally asked the questions he's been dying to ask since Alisha returned, and we finally get some decent answers. I think its nice that he understands her so much that he can read between the lines, but Alisha surprises him still, when she says while she did return, partly because of him, it also had to do with David, and Paula and Michael and that whole family dynamic, and is still ingrained in her own choices of wanting to fulfill the dream she and Alex embarked on together. So it wasn't just for "feeling bad" or being led down some path, its the choices she makes. I really liked that, mostly because it highlights that her nature is to put others before herself, but also, she's still this girl with a big dream that she wants to see through. That's something about her character I love- she can have this almighty dream, but still values her friendships, and their needs. The idea that Jordan isn't really doing all of this anymore because of his love for acting, and wanting to be the best in that area because of his passion for it, but that now he's just trying to secure, well, you know, his territory, and authority and seniority within it all was a bit of a turning point within the series so far that I really enjoyed (duh! What isn't awesome on this show?!) And, through all of his psychotic breaks, and outbursts of rage, I think its not just highlighting his development as a character, and his slow descent into villainy, but its really painting Angela as a much better character than she was introduced to be (not in terms of quality, but in terms of good/evil). She's stood by him for so long, has taken so much abuse, and you get the sense there's something there we don't know about that she is protecting him for, and I don't know. I just think you've handled these two characters extremely well, and their development has been an A++ aspect of the series for me. This episode definitely felt like it was setting up the following one, so I'm glad you aired them at the same time. The end seemed thrown on to lead into the next which did feel very forced, HOWEVER, as I said, its a "two-parter" kind of feeling I got, so I have no problem with it. So some elements of this episode will be discussed in my review for the next- "Dance Off" Review Going to begin this review talking about Paula. I get the feeling we're honing in on her backstory now, and trying to figure out who she is underneath this persona we've grown so attached to for two sequences, and you're tackling that through her first love interest on the show, Jace. At first, I was really enjoying the interactions between them, moreso in the previous episode than this one, however, on their "date" she seems to treat him like she would a child, and even in the action lines, you had, "like an infant" to the way she touched his face. That, with the dialogue ("baby talk"), I'm just confused on their dynamic at this point. Are we to understand that Paula may not know how to interact in a romantic situation, and that, possibly, she's never been in a relationship before, or at least, a serious one? Is she trying to get across that she may not necessarily feel the same way, and is trying to fend him off a little bit to make him uncomfortable enough to stop liking her? I just wanted to ask about that, and see what you could say, cause I was a little confused, but not in a "this was so distracting, and it hurts my head" kind of way, moreso, "I'm interested to know the reasons behind it all." As well as that, she seems to be lying and/or not comfortable in discussing her past, possibly her childhood, and pulled away on the mention of "where" she's from. So there's a lot happening with her that's really got me intrigued, and if you could shed some light on that, I'm dying to know. Moving on, just like the "sing-off" episode you did, this one had a similar vibe, but was handled with a better pace. Also, I like how you managed to still fit some more focus on the relationship between Jordan and Angela. The flashback showed us how Angela has really kind of been there since the beginning for Jordan, and that's carried out well into present day, even with his abusive actions towards her. In a way, it feels like she's going to be trapped in this abusive relationship until it literally kills her, and if the season is building up to something major, like a character's death, I suspect it could very well be Angela. I know it seems like all I do lately in these reviews is just talk about these guys, but gah, they're one of the most interesting parts of the story at the moment, and I just love where the show is going in this second sequence. Anyway, both episodes get a 10/10 for me. P.S// Alisha standing up to Jordan and his bullsh!t has got to be one of the greatest moments of the series so far. Then, when Jordan calls her a bitch, and David steps in... *dead* EPIC. Loved it! Great work, as always, Brady! XD

Dang, just when I thought I'd never get to sleep, I open theVPN one last time and see that I have TWO JACK MALONE REVIEWS. Anyways, as always thanks for taking the time to read and review, because I know you're super busy, so it means a whole lot! Now, to the reply: Alisha's return was a very huge step for her character, and I really wanted to highlight that decision she made, and the reasoning she made it. And with Alex's guilt being a pretty big aspect of the first Arc, it kind of just all fell into place, if that makes... any sense. One of the main problems I've had with writing this series was how to effectively show that Alex and Alisha are best friends, years after they've already met, and in a ten page script, so it's great to hear that it comes across that way- that Alex can look straight at Alisha and ask any question he wants, knowing that she'll give the most honest reply back. And I really loved adding the whole "yeah, I felt bad, but we have a dream and I love everyone here" sort of deal in her response. In the next sequence (getting ahead of myself here...) the whole philosophy that Alisha has to put others before herself is sorta put to the test once a new character comes into play, and it's going to be really exciting to see what you think about it, because it'll either rip your heart out, or you'll love it and go run through the fields dancing. Guess we'll have to see, though. Anyways, back on topic, YAY FOR LIKING ALISHA! I've seen a couple of different takes on the whole "I'm not doing it because I love it anymore" and I really wanted to incorporate that into the show, especially when it comes to Jordan. A comment gets made, not necessarily by him, in the S3 premiere that really sets up what's going to happen- STOP TALKING ABOUT SEQUENCE THREE, BRADY, LAWD. Anyways, all he really wants success and nothing else. I don't really want to say anything more about him and Angela because I just want to see what you think about what's planned for them in the last couple of episodes. I never really intended to air these episodes at the same time, I only did because last week I couldn't air this episode. Guess it worked out then. xD Personally, I don't think it felt that forced, but I'm probably a little bit biased so... THANKS AGAIN FOR ZE REVIEW!

At first, I was really enjoying the interactions between them, moreso in the previous episode than this one, however, on their "date" she seems to treat him like she would a child, and even in the action lines, you had, "like an infant" to the way she touched his face. Is she trying to get across that she may not necessarily feel the same way, and is trying to fend him off a little bit to make him uncomfortable enough to stop liking her? I just wanted to ask about that, and see what you could say, cause I was a little confused, but not in a "this was so distracting, and it hurts my head" kind of way, moreso, "I'm interested to know the reasons behind it all." So there's a lot happening with her that's really got me intrigued, and if you could shed some light on that, I'm dying to know. Paula's backstory is definitely on its way, and it's going to hit her very hard and bring several emotions that we haven't seen Paula go through yet. It was heartbreaking to writing, not gonna lie. xD On your point about Paula treating Jace: my reasoning was that she really didn't expect anything serious to come from it, and, at this moment, doesn't necessarily feel the same way Jace does, all of which may or may not change. Sorry it didn't fully come across to paint a clear picture, but I never really liked just coming up and going, "BAM LOOK THIS IS THE REASON." does that make sense? xD If it didn't, I totally understand because I'm still rereading it trying to figure out what I just wrote. Moving on, the reasoning as to why Paula is so hesitant to talking about her past is revealed in the sequence finale, when she goes to someone and really just lets it all out (and yes, you probably guessed it, she a secret government spy). And, thanks to your review of "Miss Me?" and suggesting that flashbacks would have shown more emotion through Alisha's explanation, I decided to go that route when Paula explains what's on her mind. THANK YOU FOR INFLUENCING THE SHOW! I really tried to squeeze in as much Jordan/Angela storyline as I could in these last couple of episodes without it being randomly thrown in there and seemed completely out of the blue. There's a flashback in the final two episodes as well, slowly showing the fall of their relationship and how they've come to what they are today, to an extent. The sequence definitely ends on a cliffhanger. And funny you should have that "dying theory," because to end this reply, I'm going to release a short little NEW SPOILER, that you'll hopefully... enjoy. THANKS AGAIN FOR THE AWESOME REVIEWS, JACK! Series creator Brady Brown has just confirmed that Nathan Kress and Elizabeth Gillies, who portray Jordan Langston and Angela Davis respectively, will not be returning as main cast members for the third sequence. "With this sequence finally exploring their relationship, their story has been told, and with the sequence finale ending with a cliffhanger, fans can only guess what will happen," Brown says.

Episode 209 - I think it's cool the relationship between Michael and Alex. He was concerned about his son in what I took from the episode wasn't that big of a fire (lol). I guess the father is concerned about his investment in his son and doesn't want to lose the money (lol, just kidding). Paula has her hands full and can't answer the phone and she seems a little mellow. Maybe it's the fact that she has something to occupy her mind now that is catering to her needs (wink) and not the needs of someone else. In today's society, I think David would have been a little more paranoid about his girlfriend being with Alex like that. That just shows how loveable David is, he's a good friend and knows that Alex is also a good friend and that Alisha is a trustworthy friend that wouldn't do anything. And Jordan and Angela. What can I say? Their scene wasn't that big this episode but you can still see the hectic and chaotic trail that he leaves in his wake. I think something is going to happen in the episode to come for some reason. I'm really excited to see how this sequence ends and how you keep us hanging until the third installment (lol). Good job! 7/10

Episode 210 - Wow. What a crazy episode. I felt bad for Paula in this one but I can't figure out what made her upset? I can't remember if it's what Jace said or if it's the fact that she ran into Michael and she has feelings for him? (Hmmm?) I can't remember if they are close in age and that is even possible, but I have always thought that they were going to end up together! Anyways, the dance competition - You are one that goes into super detail with things and I don't know in writing scripts if that's what is required (wink) but I must say that you're good for that because I remember another episode where someone had to sing and you played out the whole song (wink again). Anyways good job with that. Jordan and Angela wow - I must say that I wanted to enter the scene and beat the crap out of Jordan! He needs to find a place where he runs into someone JUST LIKE HIM and he takes him for a ride! The flashback was a little confusing because he seemed like a nice person - WHAT HAPPENED? Anyways, I'm anticipating some really good episodes coming up! 8/10

He doesn't want to fail Alex, just like he thinks he failed his wife and, at one point, Alisha. Yeah, Paula was a little calmer than usual this episode. Can't have her run rampant all the time! xD I've never really liked the whole "jealous of the best friend" type of people that usually show up in some dramas nowadays, and with David's personality, it just lends to the fact that he isn't that jealous of Alex. Can't say how long that will last but who knows, lol. And I don't want to say that much about Jordan and Angela, because I'm trying to keep their whole climatic scenes under wraps. xD Thanks for the review!

All of that will be explained in the next two episodes, but for now, it's a mystery as to why bringing up her childhood has made her so upset. And no, it's definitely not that she has feelings for Michael. xD And while they're the same age, a romance between them is totally not in the near future, or long term future either. With the dance competition, I tried to limit the description I used for it, but also tried to describe the motions they were doing. I tried to find a middle ground. xD Again, I don't really want to say too much about Jordan/Angela. Only time will tell.

"A Question So Deadly" ReviewSo this episode definitely had that "shit is about to go down" feel to it that a lot of penultimates have, in that, not a lot actually happened but it planted the seeds for stuff to happen in the finale next week. So, on one hand, it made me extremely excited to see what's about to go down next week, but on the other hand, there wasn't too much happening this week. But still, lets break down some of the stuff it built towards- There's something going on with Paula that's made her incredibly vulnerable, and lose her sense of excitement and up-beat personality that seems to surround her childhood, brought on by last week's episode when Jace started asking questions about her past. The idea that Paula has been sitting on this big mystery about her life is really exciting, and while I wish this episode had some sort of cliffhanger beat to it, where we'd learn just some thing about why she's so upset before the finale, it still did its job of developing that storyline (just in a way that didn't really tell you anything more than you already knew/guessed). Anyway, I do like that we saw her turn to Michael for comfort, and I think seeing her in such a state that he's so unfamiliar with will not only add layers to Paula's character, but the relationship between Paula and Michael that I've been rooting for since the first sequence. So, I like where its heading, and I hope this brings these two characters closer! Moving on, Angela is hiding from Jordan which has him searching for her the entire episode. There's something quite scary about Jordan now that really heightens the sense of danger of the entire situation, and I like that, written in the action, after identifying that Jordan was searching for her, you wrote, "hunting". That was really powerful, and I really am worried for Angela's safety, and now, Alisha's as well. Despite any "spoilers" indicating this, Alisha seems like she can get caught in the crossfire because of her nature to help people, and I feel like she's also now on the list of possible casualties too if she continues to wedge herself between the drama. So I'm genuinely worried for her now. I love the fact that you managed to still incorporate humor into the series, and these episodes in particular, despite them dealing with a lot of darker, more dangerous elements. Oh, and the flashback- KILLER. I love the focus on Jordan/Angela, and how you contrast that relationship with what it used to be in the past to show that Jordan was, A) A nice guy, and B) wasn't psycho crazy, so it brings up a lot of questions about what has happened to him recently to change all of that. All in all, this was a good episode in achieving what it set out to do, which is amp up the finale, prepare us for what's about to go down, and hint at how the sequence will come to an end. The only things I didn't like was that coming out of the episode, I was excited for the finale, but I wish something bigger had happened, or we got more out of what we were given (if that makes any sense). Like something more with Paula's breakdown, or... I don't know. But other than that, I did enjoy the episode! 9/10.

But still, lets break down some of the stuff it built towards- Yeah, this episode was definitely leading to the big things that are going to happen in the finale: Jordan and Angela, and Paula admitting what's exactly on her mind. I can see that not a lot actually happened, but that's what I really wanted this episode to be, sort of give you a little taste and then snatch it away from you because I'm a horrible person like that. HAHA! When Paula reveals just what about her childhood is making her so sad, it explains as to why she's so bubbly and peppy, and just her natural outlook on life. It brings up something that could potentially happen with a relative of hers in the next sequence, but that's yet to be confirmed, lol. Again, I didn't really want to reveal too much, especially since I think the thing about her past is really heartbreaking, to me actually, and it all just fits together the way she has to tell it... I'm just going to assume that made sense. With her turning to Michael, it really shows that they have a true friendship, and that they're basically there for each other. I really like the scene they share in the finale, you could never tell that Michael didn't like Paula at one point. XD It'll definitely bring them both closer, and... not in a romantic way, sorry to say. XD Maybe eventually! Maybe... eventually. Jordan really doesn't want Angela to reveal his abusive nature, and he'll stop at anything to make sure she keeps quiet; thus his mission of finding her begins. There's something similar to the "hunting" line that's in the sequence finale, that I hope you like just as much as the one in this episode. XD Thanks for the compliment by the way! With Angela finally turning to Alisha, it really helps Angela what she needs to realize, and Alisha, while doesn't necessarily plays a part in the crossfire, plays a... well, you've probably already figure out what happens, but in case you haven't, I shall say NUTIN ABOUT HER. I really don't like super depressing dramas that are super depressing like 24/7, so I try my best to incorporate a couple of chuckles here and there, so glad you're finding them enjoyable! I really like using the flashbacks to establish how Jordan and Angela's relationship use to be, to how it is now. It's a slow progression. I think there's one more flashback that deals with this, and... well, you can guess what happens when it comes to that, lol. And the reasoning as to why he's so angry is revealed, if not clearly in the finale, then definitely full on in the S3 premiere.[/quote] Glad you enjoyed the episode, Jack! And thanks for the review! As always they mean a lot. I really hope you enjoy the finale, and I really hope the ending scene sort of rips your heart out. Yeah, I don't know what's wrong with my head, I just want it to happen. THANKS AGAIN!!
