4.12: "Never Have I Ever"
What an interesting episode. There were some great interactions with our characters here.
Starting off with David, he didn't quite seem himself here. I get that your parents randomly inviting your friends round for a sit down dinner isn't the best night you could plan for yourself, but it seemed like this was more than David feeling embarrassed by his over the top mothers. It kind of felt that he felt uncomfortable around Alex and Rose, maybe because they've sort of drifted apart recently, I mean they haven't really seen much of each other. I don't maybe I'm just reading too much into it. Something just kinda felt off with their first interaction. However, come dinner time everything seemed back on track with David discussing comic books around the table. And of course like any conversation between Alex and David, just those quick exchange of words made me smile. I really do love their friendship. I really enjoy seeing more of David's relationship with his mothers, its something that we've only seen a small amount of but hope to dive more into that in the future. Just them trying to show him that they care by reading comics is great. Haha.
Bestie time with Michael and Paula is always great. Although I was kinda confused as to who Michael was talking about when he says "what if they hate it." Did I miss something? Who did he send his script to? Paula's speech about pushing forward in order to make the dream work was great. I makes me happy that Paula has found her calling. But it also made me wonder, what's next for her? All our characters are heading down these new paths and Paula is... well same old Paula.
Moving on to Alisha and Kelsey! I can't say we didn't see this coming, I probably didn't expect it this soon however, I mean Kelsey doesn't hold back. Even though they didn't actually kiss, I feel like Alisha can now realise what she wants. Or maybe now? It might just make her more confused. Lol. This is definitely a storyline that has me intrigued, along with Rose's singing career path. There is a lot about this sequence that's got me excited. These new directions our characters are taking is really refreshing, Brady which is impressive because 4 sequences in things could have easily began to become repetitive. Great job, I can't wait to read on.

'Night of the Living Besties'Just leaving a quick review for the Halloween Special. It was just a whole lot of fun, and I kind of want every possible holiday to feature a "[blank of the] besties" special featuring Paula and Michael. They're adorable. I love the fact that Michael's instinct was to run, and then Paula, who was totally behind the whole idea of going to a haunted house in the first place, is like, "no bish, get back here and carry me" and he did. I love them so much. The idea of romance always feels like dirt is being thrown on their coffin when the word 'bestie' is used, but as I've said before, you manage to make any relationship on the show significant and beautiful and interesting no matter what kind of relationship it is. So, whether I was expecting another kiss or lingering moment to happen in the middle of all the scary or not, this was still a perfectly fun and light-hearted episode for Paula/Michael Despite the focus on them, the best part was the fact David was wearing a Green Lantern costume. David is my fave. Please don't ever, ever hurt him again like you did at the end of sequence three or I will... keep reading the show because I'm obsessed *cries*

Just them trying to show him that they care by reading comics is great. Haha. Yeah, there's been a bit of iffiness about David with that scene, so I apologize for it not coming across as clearly as I wanted it to. David's just a very awkward character, and when two of his best friends run into him with his moms out of the blue it kind of threw him for a loop haha. Nothing to do with drifting apart with anyone. The dinner was really fun to write, because it had David at ultimate fanboy and he got to share that with everyone, and it also showed how supportive those people are of him, and I just loved it haha. Yay! Always love writing their scenes together. Michael was just speaking about more feedback from Joshua and Andrew. It was sort of an off-screen thing that was meant to be implied in that scene, so apologies if it didn't come across clearly enough. I loved writing Paula giving advice to Michael, because it's been the opposite for a bit, so it was fun to turn that on its head. Paula's next step in her life comes about in 4.15 before she takes that step in 4.16. You thought it was soon? Hmm, that's fair haha. I wouldn't say this was all Kelsey's doing, because since Alisha told her that she wasn't interested in her Kelsey has not pushed her to do anything she hasn't wanted to do, so this was definitely a mutual decision by both ladies. This has just made Alisha more confused haha, so no resolution for her right now. I'm glad you're liking all of the storylines, Jay! And thanks for the review!

4.13: "WTF"
I have to say, I'm really loving Auditions vibe right now. Its safe to say that last sequence got a bit dark and the fallout at the beginning of this sequence held a lot of drama. Don't get me wrong I loved it, but I'm really appreciating you moving on from that and going back to Auditions roots with fun episodes like these. This entire sequence was really about pushing the dark things in your past away and moving towards the future, so I'm happy that's been coming across! Yeah, haha, Alisha is just even more confused now. This is a very hard time for her and she just doesn't know what to do or how to face it. I love showcasing David and Alex's friendship, and hope to do more of that soon! They have such a great relationship haha. This was a huge step for Rose and Robbie in terms of moving towards their dream. They've finally got a gig! haha. Baby steps, baby steps! Thanks again, Jay!!

I love writing every minute of it, and your words mean so much. This is such a great relationship for me to write, and anytime I can showcase it I jump at the opportunity. They've got a pretty great scene in the finale if I do say so myself How could David NOT go as a DC superhero? lmao! And I promise, no scars for David! at least... not physically

Halloween Special - "Night of the Living Besties"This was such a fun episode. So glad you decided to do a Halloween Special! I loved the opening scene, revealing everyone's costumes. It was so cute and Paula slayed my entire existence in her Jessica Rabbit costume. That was amazing. Also, Alex as the Fonz. What could possibly be more perfect than that? It was great to see Michael sticking up for his bestie when that douchebag astronaut was messing with her. I think he could have totally kicked that guys ass, but it was probably smart of him to run away like he did. haha! Of course David would be dressed as some DC Comics superhero, and Green Lantern, of course. I love how we've been focusing mostly on Michael and Paula but we still get to see bits and pieces of the others throughout the episode. That's really cool. Speaking of Michael and Paula -- their relationship is so fun to read and has been ever since the pilot. It's grown so damn much and I love every scene they have together. I appreciate when they can just hang out and have a good time together. It's so sweet. Them going to that haunted house was nothing short of epic! My favorite moment had to have been when Michael bolts out of that house like Zola and leaves Paula there. But of course she was not having any of that and demanded that he come back and get her. haha! It was just amazing. I can't say that enough. That story of Paula's was pretty dark, Oh my god. Her life must have been so insane. I wanna know more. Like, we should totally get a cool, short series in-between sequences all about Paula's crazy life before meeting the Berreta's. haha I think that would be hella entertaining. But in short, that was a great episode. Really had a lot of fun reading it!

"Tears, smiles and other face activities" I don't even know where to begin for this review. This was a very special episode, and not just because of what happened in the episode, but because it was quiet. It was calm, and it was beautifully fitting. A whole sequence has passed that has dealt with the aftermath of tragedy. A lot of the time, shows like to be dramatic, on top of dramatic, on top of dramatic, right up until the very end, and don't take advantage of the opportunities to explore the aftermath, and explore the idea of healing and recuperating, and what made this sequence the best so far of 'Audition' was that it took that time to really nurture these characters and explore them in a more internalised way. So for the finale to explore where they are emotionally, and to be focused purely on character as opposed to story or some massive plot twist, it just managed to wrap everything up in the most perfect way imaginable and I can't even put into words just how satisfying this episode was as a conclusion to a twenty-episode sequence of 'Audition.' So before I could even get started on what happened in this episode, I needed to jot those thoughts down and sing you some praise. Now, as for the episode itself-- THEY KISSED YA'LL. THEY KISSED! Since the series began, Paula and Michael have been the couple to watch. Everyone loved them. Everyone could see so much potential for these two as the 'Audition' power couple, and while there have been times I've seriously doubted you'll ever hook the two up, something about these past few episodes felt very much like a kiss was on it's way and then it happened. "No talking. Just lips."
I couldn't believe it. Four sequences in the making, and after a cute little movie date together, Paula and Michael were taking that step forward in their relationship from 'besties' to each other's beloved. This was too good to be true... because it wasn't. It was a daydream. A god damn flippin' day dream. And their lips didn't even touch. If this was a real TV Show, I couldn't even gif a daydream kiss, like... wooooow. This is the only gif I have to explain how I feel right now but it's too big for the forum so clickity click click this mother f*cker ( x) On a serious note, though. I really can't tell if I hate the fact that it was a daydream or if I like it for development reasons. First off, I feel a little robbed. I'm a little bummed out, and a little, slightly, kind of actually really annoyed about it. But then on the other hand, it's kind of a plot thread to spark feelings for Michael from Paula. It's kind of the beginning of it. It's an actualisation of an arc that we'll get to see have a beginning, middle and an end next sequence, and the more I think about awkward Paula trying to cover up her feelings or even trying to express them... it just has an endless string of possibilities that sound entertaining and perfect for the show entering it's fifth sequence. Alex and Alisha were also having their "besties" night, and theirs definitely felt more deserved. I feel like Alex has kind of had the reverse development in this one, beginning the sequence making a choice to be happy, and starting this relationship with Rose and being in this really happy, positive place, only to end it in a quite insecure, and not-so-happy place. Alisha, on the other hand, has kind of struggled all the way through the sequence, battling with her mistakes and trying to not let them define her, and then having this internal battle with her sexuality and trying to figure out who she is and what these feelings mean. They're both adrift in a really big way, and to end the sequence with them dancing, and shedding a tear, and being with each other... it just goes to show that their friendship will always ground them, and I really appreciate you focusing on it for such a big episode as a finale. Platonic relationships are just as important, and they have the most history together on the show. Speaking of their history, I like hearing about little details like Diane Happer, and referencing Alisha's departure in S1, and having all that brought back up. The greatest thing about them, though, is the fact that Alisha doesn't have to be specific about her problems and open up on a topic she doesn't feel comfortable talking about yet, and Alex won't probe her and he won't dig deeper, he'll just be there. It was a really special episode for them, and a special sequence overall. Lastly, this episode had some nice development for Robbie and Rose and Mia and David. Rose and Robbie have had a dynamic this sequence that has been a personal favourite of mine. I've recently become obsessed with the television series Nashville, and they give me similar vibe to a duo on that show where their music offers a connection much deeper than I feel Rose can get with a significant other, and Robbie could as well if he had one. I'm not saying they're being portrayed as anything other than friends because they aren't, and turning every dynamic on the show into a romantic one would get old real fast but I just appreciate the possibilities of their friendship, and their time together. I love the fact that Robbie used up the majority of his tips to get their gig back, and I love that they performed a Halsey cover of "I walk the line." They just bring another side to the show that makes me excited for the series going forward, and I hope we see more of their blossoming careers, and any challenges, obstacles and conflicts that arise from them being a duo, and from their journey into the music industry. Finally, the couple that came in unexpected and stole the show. Mia and David continue to be one of the greatest aspects of the series, and I'm so happy with the way this sequence has ended for them. I honestly saw heartbreak for their future at the end of this sequence, and am glad I couldn't be more wrong. Not only do they bring out the best of each other, but their openness and honesty and authenticity in their moments is something that makes them so enjoyable to read. I love that they're reading a comic together, and I love that David can share that side with him and that Mia really cares about it and cares about him. So while Paula and Michael didn't really take that next step in their relationship, the episode certainly didn't lack development for all my favourite ships on the show. It took me until writing that sentence to realise all my favourites were paired up for the finale, and I'm so happy with how that's worked out. But basically, it was a really special episode and I couldn't see the sequence ending on a better note. I'm still torn about the Paula/Michael 'daydream' reveal but I already explained that *cries* So does sequence five start next week, or...?

Hahaha Michael totally would have gotten beaten up, so it's a smart thing he did run. He ain't stupid, but he had to try and stand up for Paula. I loved deciding what David was going to dress up as, there were so many possibilities! I definitely try and shove them together whenever I can, because they're probably the easiest scenes to write. They just write themselves, honestly. I'm so glad you liked that moment, because that was definitely a highlight to write! Paula's entire life is just a ball of insanity, and I love it. That's a good idea. Hmm... hahaha!! But thanks for reading, Chris! I'm so happy you enjoyed it

REVIEW - "Tears, Smiles, and Other Face Activities"
This finale was so beautiful. So many important moments. Everything just sort of clicked into place from the opening scene to those mind-blowing final moments. I'm gonna go scene by scene because if I don't, I'll completely lose focus and just end up shouting about that last scene. HAHA! So here we go. We start with a miserable Alex and Alisha. Both completely depressed about the current state of their lives. I love how well these two know each other and how much they rely on one another. Them deciding to have a 'best friend night' all to themselves was really sweet and something that takes me back to the old days where it was just those two against the world. I'm always impressed with how you write their relationship. Their friendship has so many layers and runs so deep. They're the type of friends will go through so much but come out of it okay because they'll be together. And I love relationships like that. Skipping ahead a bit, but still focusing on Alex and Alisha -- that dance. So emotional! It made me feel ALL THE THINGS! Quite possibly one of my favorite moments between those two. The dynamic between Rose and Robbie has been pretty interesting this sequence, even though I didn't always know where it was headed. There were a few moments where I thought that you were going to push them into a more romantic relationship, and I was a bit scared. Not just because it would kind of be borrowing a storyline from last sequence, but I'd hate for Alex and Rose to go through something like that. But as the storyline progressed, I soon got over that feeling. They're just two people who want to make their dreams come true and they're willing to help each other do that. They're partners in crime and I think their dynamic was really solidified here. And I'm in love with it; completely sold. I think they can help each other out a lot and I was really impressed with Robbie in particular in this episode. That was really big of him, doing what he did to get their gig back. I like him a lot more as a character now and can't wait to see where this goes next sequence! Also, them performing a Halsey song? What a nice touch! Love that. Another dynamic you introduced this season was David and Mia! Though unlike Rose and Robbie, I loved these two from the beginning. I think they're such different people and their relationship is so much different than David's relationship with Alisha. And that's what I like about it. David's grown so much, while still being the same kid from sequence one. I think his personality really works well with Mia's and they both enhance each other characters. They've got all the makings of an interesting, dynamic relationship and this episode really showed how far they can go. Looking back to the beginning of the sequence, I think the arc between these two has been either my favorite, or close to my favorite arc of the entire sequence! You just did so well with them and I can't wait for them to be explored even more. Now.... Michael and Paula. *SOBS* You've really outdone yourself here. I'll start from the beginning. Paula finally letting Michael know that she went to visit Jace! That was great. I'm glad she felt comfortable enough to come out and tell him that. And I liked his reaction. Worried, but when she explained why she had to do it and what she did, he was more accepted and understanding. Love how much he cares about her wellbeing. And I also loved him letting Paula know that she's not a burden. Her problems aren't a problem for him. Because they're besties! And I thought it was gonna end there, but it didn't. There was sooo much more to look forward to. Like that lingering glance! When I read that my heart exploded. That's the moment I knew Maula was REAL!!! And then you go one step further and write that daydream sequence! I was such a mess! I am still such a mess! I'm all over the place. My heart has shattered! Here I go, rambling. I knew this would happen, but what do you expect?! Paula realizes her attraction to Michael! This is all I needed. Honestly, if you had just done that stare from Paula. I would have been fine! My cup would have been full! I was already bald! I have nothing left!! I didn't need this. But I'm glad I got it! This is the start of a beautiful storyline that I hope will be coming next sequence! I'm praying! I want more! Please give us mooore! PHEW! That was a lot. But anyway, what an amazing way to end the sequence. This was definitely my favorite so far. I don't know if it's because it was longer or if it was simply because the storylines and writing quality was on point every single episode. Or a mixture of both! But seriously, amazing job with sequence four! Congratulations on completing another round of Audition and I'm eager for more!

So before I could even get started on what happened in this episode, I needed to jot those thoughts down and sing you some praise. Now, as for the episode itself-- AAAH! First review of the finale! And so soon too! This sequence has been so different than the past three that I thought it was only fitting to have a quite, calm, aftermath episode. A lot of emotions have been running around throughout the sequence, not just from the shooting, but from events that have transpired within. I thought it was appropriate to capitalize on that rather than bring in some new plot device. So I'm really happy you picked up on that and appreciated it. Everyone has grown so much in these 20 episodes, and I couldn't be more thrilled at where they are, so I'm glad you liked the episode *awaits the already impending Jack Malone Anarchy that is down below* *waits longer through the anarchy so that I can go below and explain myself* I'm going to try and explain this in a coherent way so if it's a jumbled mess I'M SORRY. Since the end of 4.18, Paula has been mini discovery with Michael. She helped him through his panic attack, and she saw the potential in him when he didn't see it in himself. But before that, she kept from him that she went and say Jace, and, even though she has the right to keep that secret, her admitting that to him and his confirmation that he would do anything for her really sparked something inside of her. As a result, an attraction was made. Paula has been trying to cope with that fact that she dated Jace, and directly after she broke up with him he shot David. That's been going on in her mind, so she went to see him. Michael wasn't dealing with anything like that. This episode was really about Paula realizing she was attracted to Michael, and not that both were attracted to each other. I thought the daydream was a sudden, slightly funny way to get that point across without it being out-of-the-blue by having actual!Michael kiss her. I hope that makes sense. haha If not, then I shall try and explain better. Alex is in a really weird place right now. That's going to be a major part of s5 - him dealing with these rejections and trying to overcome them. Alisha, now fully accepting of herself, is going to finally live. Sure, she's still sad about what happened with Kelsey, but she learned this sequence not to dwell on the past, so we're going to see how she's overcoming that. I loved writing that dance. Alex and Alisha have so much history, and have been through so much together, that they needed it. They needed some time to forget about everything and to just be together. I'm glad you enjoyed those little moments, I try and put them in whenever I can haha. They'll eventually fully talk about their problems, obviously, but for now they just needed to support one another. Rose and Robbie's friendship is something where, you're right, she can't get that with Alex, or Alisha, or David, or anyone. Only Robbie shares that passion, and now they're fully on good terms, we'll find them actually starting to pursue this dream they share. I'm so happy you enjoyed all of those things haha "I Walk the Line," I feel, was a really fitting song for the end of the sequence. S5 will see a Rose/Robbie centric episode very early on That Mia/David scene was so important. Mia finally let her guard go. She finally fully trusts David, and they're going to try and make something work. I'm so happy this relationship has gotten such positive reception, because I know during s3 if I told you they were going to get together you'd go "um... wtf?" haha. Look forward to more Dia moment in S5 I hope my explanation above made some sense haha This was more about Paula's next step instead of Paula and Michael's big step. I'm so happy you enjoyed this finale and this entire sequence, and thank you so much for all of your support throughout every single episode. It means the world, man. Can't wait to see what you think of s5 So does sequence five start next week, or...? [/div][/div][/quote]

Skipping ahead a bit, but still focusing on Alex and Alisha -- that dance. So emotional! It made me feel ALL THE THINGS! Quite possibly one of my favorite moments between those two. Yay! I'm so happy you enjoyed this. This episode was definitely focusing on the relationships and aftermath of what has happened through this sequence. Alex and Alisha's scenes were my favorite to write for the episode. That dance was so important to them, and I'm glad it's gotten some positive feedback. I love that relationship, and I love that everybody else does too. That was one of my favorites - if not my favorite - moment between them, so I'm over the moon you feel the same way. Yeah, I knew a lot of people were gonna have those same concerns, so I'm glad I was able to rectify them for you. They have such an interesting dynamic because it's the only one made possible because of the dream they share. Like, yes, Alex and Alisha have acting but they're also best friends. Rose and Robbie came together because of a common goal, and I really like that and thought it was different for the show. Robbie really showed how dedicated he is to this, and them singing Halsey was just a given haha! I really think that song embodies where everyone is at this moment, especially Alex and Alisha. Dia! The wildcard! haha. Again, so happy everyone loves them so much. I think their relationship, and how they've grown, is quite beautiful and I'm happy you feel the same. This was a huge step for Mia because she finally let go and finally let her guard down to trust David. More Dia to come in S5 Hahahaa!! Thank youuu! This was a huge development for Paula. She finally came clean to Michael, even if it wasn't a reoccurring thing in her mind. She's now 100% honest with him, and the confirmation that he would literally do anything for her created that already subtle attraction to him. I'm glad you enjoyed the daydream! haha not just because of the context, but I thought it worked for the current situation of both characters. Don't be a mess! This is just the beginning of Maula! ...or is it? Thank you sooo much for reading, Chris! As always, it means so much to me. I'm so happy this has been a standout sequence, and I hope sequence five is even better for you guys! I'm so thankful for all the support, and here's to another sequence of Audition!

Audition Sequence Four Review So, I just binge-read the rest of Audition....And while this season was great and fantastic in all ways possible, there is one thing. ONE THING THAT IS BOTHERING ME!...... PAULA AND MICHAEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Like you finally giving me what I wanted since I read this whole thing back in June! But when I finally thought they were going to do the nasty/amazing stuff on that bed. Suspenders and all....I legit was cheering, seeing that it was finally going to happen...only for you to rip it away from me in one fell swoop. BUT!!!!! I am not without hope. I legit am angry that they haven't done anything yet, not that I'm really saying they need too in order to get together, but it wouldn't hurt. But this gives me hope for Sequence Five. Because we are going in with everything sort of feeling fresh. You're getting back to the root of your characters and showing that Alex and Alisha (Half expected them to kiss, but I know...never gonna happen, blah blah blah) are back to the root and reflecting on everything that has happened to them ever since they come Georgia to Hollywood. It was one of the nicer moments of the series, in a sea of crazy ex-boyfriends and sexual orientation confusion. Sequence Four seemed to have taken that calmer route. And I honestly enjoyed that. I feel like it was much needed to be a big character season. Developing their stories and bringing them to new heights and challenges. Everyone had a purpose and a story that thrusted them (theheheh) forward. Brady Brown, my brother, you kicked out of the park with this season and it is probably my favorite season so far. You just really shined with how your characters are and who they are going to become. I hope Sequence Five is like this season, in a sense of that you're gonna be pushing your characters to new heights. I don't know what you have planned, but I am VERY excited to see where you are going to go. Might I throw in a few suggestions? 1. Michael and Paula have to happen. I'm sorry, but you ended the season with them, so you have to continue with that. 2. Alex and Alisha friendship parties. Just where they sit and talk and just be best buddies. I loved the stuff in the finale. 3. Michael and Paula 4. Maybe some more Michael and Paula? 5. Paula....just Paula....Sequence Five just be all Paula. But you did an AMAZING JOB, buddy. I'm so proud of your fourth sequence and CANNOT WAIT to see what is to come in the latter of S5....Just don't rip my heart out again, please? I don't think I can take it. But yeah....good job. and Remember MICHAEL AND PAUL 2k15!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Audition Sequence Four Review
*giggles*
Like I've said before, this was really about a development for Paula, who was able to find an attraction to another man after he showed her how much she means to him. She's going to be dealing with those feelings in s5 and trying to figure out if she needs to act on them or not. Sequence 5 is kind of like a new beginning of the show, because everyone's changed so much since the beginning of s4 so I hope everyone enjoys where I'm going with everything haha. Yeah, this really needed to be a calm sequence after what transpired in the last one. I'm glad people really enjoyed that because it was extremely interesting to write. Thank you so much for those compliments haha and thank you for reading the show so quickly. Haha nice suggestions! But again, it's more about Paula rather than Michael and Paula Thank you, Brian! This was so nice, and I'm so glad that you enjoyed this fourth sequence the most out of all of them. I hope you love s5 just as much if not more!
