Exclusive: Eka Darville Joins Reoccurring Cast As Karl Fox, Husband of Lucius Fox! VSGuide has learned exclusively that Eka Darville has joined the reoccurring guest cast for Watchtower Season 4. Darville, best known for his work on 'Spartacus' and 'Jessica Jones,' is set to play an original character named Karl Fox; he is a self-employed online blogger described as an eternally excited and uplifting man who is married to head of Wayne Enterprise's weapons division, Lucius Fox (Charles Michael Davis). The character is expected to make their first appearance in the ninth episode of the season, titled 'Ultimatum.'
"Karl comes into the show at a point where his other half, Lucius, really needs someone to pull him out of his cloud of self doubt and inspire him to be the hero that Karl knows him to be," series creator Jack Malone told VSGuide. Funnily enough, Karl is unaware of how Lucius spends his nights. "Karl walks straight into this world of vigilantes and everything just clicks together. He has a very surprising reaction to it all," Malone revealed, excited for audiences to see his debut on Watchtower, "It's always fun to write characters stumbling across this secret superhero life, and this of course is one of those moments [in episode nine]."
The only question about this character's introduction: why haven't we seen or heard of him before? "We've definitely referenced him in [episode seventeen] of Season 3 - when Helena realised Lucius and Chloe would make a perfect match - but we were waiting for the right time to bring him into the fold, if ever that time presented itself," Malone answered, revealing this was a character that's been in the works for a long time. "Lucius is a supporting character, and it's often difficult introducing a supporting character to another supporting character without tipping the balance in a negative way, but with Lucius stepping into a bigger role as Batwing, we felt he needed his own purpose, and his own stakes, and a world built around him that is just as palpable as the world built around Chloe's and Bruce's and Helena's."
So what can we expect from the character? Malone told VSGuide that there is a potential to see the character follow his husband into the life of heroism. "It would be a lot of fun to see those worlds bleed together at some point," Malone admitted, hinting at a superhero storyline for Karl, "However, it's all about finding the right time to tell these stories and see if the opportunity will present itself." Until then, fans can expect to see Karl in a minimum of four episodes as a crucial figure in Lucius' journey as Batwing.
Production on the mid-season finale is expected to wrap today, with work beginning on the next batch of episodes that are expected to air in early 2017. Let us know your thoughts on the latest casting scoop below! I dont even know what to say right now, But I will say that this was a very surprising thing to see this morning when I woke up.haha But I will say that, I cant wait to see where this character goes and where the rest of the season leads. Sorry I havent been on to review for you and Alex Matthews, however, reviews will come

Exclusive: Alessandro Juliani Returns to 'Watchtower!'
It wouldn't be a season of 'Watchtower' without an appearance from one Emil Hamilton. VSGuide has learned exclusively that Alessandro Juliani's surprise appearance at the end of a recent episode of Watchtower Season 4 was just the first of 3 episodes that the actor has been booked for, which will all culminate in a "fitting farewell" to the arch-nemesis turned good-guy in the November 14 episode, titled 'Elseworld.' That's right. The doctor is officially checking out, and VSGuide is determined to get the scoop on every last detail. "It's true we've come to this particular bridge quite a few times, but the reason we never crossed it was because there was always more story to be told [with Emil]," series creator Jack Malone told VSGuide on the character's departure, "We wanted to tell a story of redemption and we felt as though we told that in [Season 2]. His experiments remained a part of the show, and brought him back in [Season 3] but now we've simply reached the end of that story." But while Emil has been successful in destroying all the meta-human experiments that the original Emil created, it continues to be what pulls him back into the fold. "Maxwell Lord obviously finds some significance in Emil's work," Malone revealed of the big bad, who is currently holding Emil hostage, "You will see just how significant in [episode 7]." So what can fans expect for an Emil Hamilton swan song? "Emil has finally escaped from the sins of his past, and [episode 7] will be about whether or not Emil can ever truly have a life outside of being the clone of a madman that nearly destroyed the world," Malone teased, reminding viewers of the complicated history of the character, "In a season that's all about control — and seeing how that bleeds into fate, and destiny, and even legacy — it only seems fitting we answer those questions for Emil Hamilton."
While the November 14 episode is said to be the character's last, with the 'Watchtower' creator referring to it as a "fitting farewell," Malone assured viewers that all bets are off when they approach their final season next year. "We want everyone back. We love working with Alessandro [Juliani], and everyone else from the cast. We wouldn't do without them." So, what do you think about the latest return for Emil? Do you think it's the right time to say goodbye? Do you think he's earned a happily ever after? Do you think he'll get one? Be sure to let us know, and tune into the character's big farewell on November 14.

I wish he could stick around and have a dynamic with Team Watchtower 2.0. I always loved Emil as apart of the Home Team in Smallville. He started as Oliver's confidant and turned into a bigger asset and soon became apart of the family. I really want him, Ollie, and Chloe to at least share a goodbye scene together. Hell even jam Clark or Tess in there too and Im all for it.hahaha

There's a lot of surprises involved in it that will hopefully make it a special one. His Season 2 storyline is definitely the highlight of him for me, and one of my favourite arcs to write. My unwillingness to let this character go has kept him around beyond the storyline that was intended to send him on his way, and I now feel content at leaving the character with what happens in episode 7, 'Elseworld.' Looking forward to your thoughts on his departure

Im excited for Elseworld as well. Can we see it running in the same vein as Mirror? Also Im sad Emil will be gone. Will any of the new characters (Lucius,Katherine,Vicki) meet him?! It's a very different episode and world than 'Mirror.' The world is more hopeful, and a lot less dark and gloomy. And it's more linked to Watchtower and the comics than characters from Smallville. So there'll be some nice callbacks, mentions, and appearances that stem from the past four seasons of the show, and certain storylines from the comic book world. In terms of Emil's departure, he may share the screen with certain characters without interacting with them — which is the case for Katherine — but his send-off is a lot different to swan songs of seasons past. I'd say it's more abrupt and less about offering perfect moments and perfect farewells. But there's always the final season to play on nostalgia, and while Emil's story ends in 'Elseworld,' there's many different creative ways to honour him in Season 5.

Casting Scoop: 'Watchtower' Reoccurring Cast Expands To Include Lisa Kudrow, Matt Czuchry, Teresa Ting, and More! The 'Watchtower' family continues to grow with the show's fourth season about to conclude it's first run of nine episodes, and some interesting characters are expected to enter the fold as early as next year. In this colossal casting scoop — that features new additions such as Lisa Kudrow and Matt Czuchry as well as updates on previously announced stars, Eka Darville and Mitch Pileggi — VSGuide makes sure to deliver you only the most current of news on what you can expect with Watchtower Season 4 going forward.
Joining the reoccurring guest cast, Lisa Kudrow ('Scandal,' 'Web Therapy') is set to play the role of DC Comics' District Attorney, Janice Porter, who is described as an intelligent woman who exudes power and experience whilst maintaining a strong sense of humanity. She is expected to make her first appearance of the season in episode 10, titled 'Kin.' The 'Watchtower' creator told VSGuide that Janice will play a key role in an upcoming storyline that addresses corruption in the government, and more specifically, the GCPD. "Janice is working with the Mayor to abolish corruption in the GCPD, and develops a task force that marks the beginning of a better, brighter future for the city's law enforcement," series creator Jack Malone revealed. As for who we can expect her to interact with most on the show? "She has a really exciting storyline with Katherine Kane that begins to shape in [episode 10]."
In mentioning the mayor, Debbi Morgan ('Charmed') has signed on to play Mayor Marion Grange, who represents a true light for the city of Gotham. The character has made it her priority to expunge the government of all potential corruption as a way to prevent another disturbing shocking terrorist attack — like the one expected to play out in the mid-season finale — from ever happening again. "Marion is a really influential and uplifting character and she makes it her top priority to make sure Gotham is being looked after by only the strongest and the best of the city's law enforcement," Malone revealed, explaining how a focus on the politics of the city will take the show back to it's initial purpose, "This greater examination of the government, with the Mayor and the District Attorney, allows us to link back to the mission that brought Chloe and Oliver to Gotham in the first place." The Mayor is expected to play a key role alongside Kudrow's character.
And expanding on the GCPD, Matt Czuchry ('The Good Wife,' 'Gilmore Girls') joins the reoccurring cast as Jack Forbes, an officer that is facing a huge promotion that grants him a unique position of power, following the events of the mid-season finale. "He's at the top of the DA's list of officers who can be trusted to help aid the city," Malone told VSGuide, "He appears to have a good head on his shoulders, and is quite similar to Gordon, in that he cares about Gotham."
Outside of the law, Teresa Ting ('Orange is the New Black') has signed on to play fan-favourite DC Comics character Cassandra Cain, who will be introduced at the very end of the mid-season finale, titled 'Ultimatum.' The character — much like how she is in the comic books — was raised very differently; she was to be the perfect assassin, trained in martial arts and taught to understand body language in order to anticipate attacks. As a rather unique character, Cassandra is unable to speak — as she was not taught — but her actions will speak volumes. "In a similar way to [the comics], Cassandra was raised to be the perfect bodyguard and assassin for the Head of Checkmate, and so she's kind of this secret weapon for Maxwell Lord when we first meet her," Malone revealed of the character's origins, "Fans are aware of her journey, and we're committed to seeing that journey play out as much as it can in [Season 4]." So does that mean we can expect Cassandra to join the growing Bat-Family? "Anything is possible, but she has a long way to go before we reach that point."
Expanding his role on the show, Mitch Pileggi ('The X-Files') will continue to portray the character of Jacob Kane throughout the rest of the season. Thought to have been killed, Jacob was revealed to be alive and well in episode 4, titled 'Batwoman' where his daughter was finally able to find him and break him out of Maxwell Lord's holding cell. While his character is one expected to be on the list of potential casualties expected to occur in the mid-season finale, the 'Watchtower' creator told VSGuide that this news doesn't exactly spoil anything. "We have teased a death in [episode 9] but whoever ends up unfortunately biting the dust will continue to play a significant role on the show." Fingers crossed Jacob Kane can catch a break and end up on the survivor's list by episode's end, right?
Lastly, it was recently announced that Eka Darville ('Jessica Jones') had joined the cast as an original character named Karl Fox. It was said, however, that there was a potential to see the character suit up as a vigilante of his own, and VSGuide has learned exclusively that it will indeed happen later in the season. "There's an extremely minor character in the comics called The Ranger, and we're going to be adopting that persona to the character of [Karl Fox] this season," Malone announced, excited to bring another vigilante into the fight. "It's been a while since we've gotten to see a character begin their journey as a vigilante, and I think this will be quite an enjoyable one for fans of the show." The Ranger is a character from the Batman side of comics who is inspired by The Batman and his vigilantism, and so he suits up in the style of an Australian Bush Ranger to fight crime. "We think it would be a great storyline to enhance our main theme of the season, but one that also enhances the storyline for Lucius Fox [in Season 4]."
So, what are your thoughts on the latest colossal casting scoop? Which character are you most excited to see? Let us knew below!

The fact that the hospital is another showdown where are heroes fight the villains is a perfect example of how Gotham needs to change up its security.
Im excited that Katherine's father is becoming more important. Although his death will sadden me, if it happens.
As for the new cop, im more excited to see how je amd Gordpn compare. Considering Gordon is known for consorting with vigilantes/beginning a witch hunt for them.
Speaking of vigilante's, can I say Karl becoming a vigilante will be something to look forward too. I cant wait for that

The fact that the hospital is another showdown where are heroes fight the villains is a perfect example of how Gotham needs to change up its security. What happens in the mid-season finale won't be a question of security. It's more about corruption feeding back into the areas of government and law enforcement that should be free of corruption. There are no break-ins or failures that stem from lack of security. When the official episode description is released for the mid-season finale, it'll offer a list of characters who might not make it out alive, which is essentially any character that ends up inside that hospital because that's where a huge death is going to occur. Jacob is one of the characters inside the hospital, so I had to make mention of it in the scoop. We'll have to see if he survives it. I've enjoyed writing for him so far this season. I'm excited to start writing for the character of Jack Forbes. I think having these perspectives from the Mayor's office, the District Attorney, and a new perspective from the GCPD, will really enhance the mid-season arc and hopefully offer a very memorable one. It's going to provide some much needed levity mid-season, but also — when you have as big a threat as the one that Maxwell Lord poses, with what he's planning to unleash on Gotham — recruiting some more heroes that are passionate about helping the city is something that our current roster of heroes have to be very open towards. Karl's "origin" story is going to be quite different to everyone else's story of being born out of tragedy or loss, and I'm excited to tell it once we come back from hiatus

Hopefully you are doing alright Also, I cant wait for Elseworld Hey man, I'm doing good. I always do final edits in the week leading up to the episode airing, so it's fresh in my mind and I've done a final read through to catch as many errors as possible. This past week has been a pretty hectic one and then Monday approached and I didn't want to rush through it just to air it. Will be back to usual schedule this coming Monday. I'm excited for you to read "Elseworld." There's a lot of surprise guest appearances
