Female villains... recurring female villains, somehow connected to or directly attached to the KCS. I just had the urge to say that; do as you wish with it. xD

Oooooooooh. See, I thought you were hinting at some sort of 'female villains' group from the comics, and I was researching and all I could really find were the Female Furies. And then I was like, how does Darkseid come into all of this? And then I was like, how come the Female Furies are allied with the KCS? And then I started wondering why the KCS would want to bring about Darkseid when their initial goal is to obtain ultimate power over Gotham, and soon, the rest of the world. Aaaannddd, then I got more confused ...
So thank you for that, haha. I'll see what pops up. xD

just finished the premiere of Season Two. it is just awesome. definitely looking forward to what comes next.
had chills with the reveal of the batsuit at the end of the episode.
Bruce's story is really awesome in this. It's a fresh unique take on the character.

I've been a bit slack but finally got around to reviewing Watchtower's third episode Lockdown. I actually read this one when it first came out so I'm kinda only skim-reading it for this review. So if my review is a little shorter than normal that would be why Anyway, onto the teaser! I really feel sorry for Oliver in that opening scene but at the same time I can totally relate to Chloe wanting to make sure she's not left behind at work. Also, I hate tension in relationships so I was kinda cringing towards the end of that scene, but in a good way, if that makes any sense XD Though I'm still not a huge fan of Selina I can't help but love the way you write her interacting with Chloe. That's great scene between them in the office. Act 1: "His devious look could kill. But he’s got a gun for that." You have no idea how much I love that line of description. Like, I really, really love it. It's kinda a dry, dark humour that really sets the tone for the villain of this episode. I also like the scenes of Wes going around killing everyone in the building, showing mercy to no one. I think that makes him really scary, knowing that if he comes across out heros he won't hesitate to pull the trigger. Oh, one thing that bugged me, you describe Guido as "His eyes are staring up at the ceiling, lifeless." Which to me implies that they are open and then you go one to say "His eyes DART open, awake. Alive.". It's like, his eyes are open and then they open again? I think this is either an oversight or you meant to say that his suddenly start moving and stop being lifeless. If it's the second scenario then the problem is a misuse of words (in this case 'dart open') and is just something you should watch out for coz it detracts from the story when you have to stop and think about the action (I'm just being nit-picky again though ). Act 2: A little annoyed at Helena pussyfooting around when it comes to getting back into the hero game. Oliver is right, two of the most important people in her life could die and she's considering just sitting around a doing nothing? Ugh, that's so frustrating and makes me really disappointed in Helena. Well, as disappointed as you can get in a fictional character XD. The sappy romance/love of your life chat between Chloe and Bruce would have been nice if the thought of Bruce and Selina together didn't make me want to hit my head on a wall. Sorry Jack! Also, Lucius is bloody awesome! And sneaky Oliver is sneaky ^^ Act 3: My god, how many times has Perry been kidnapped now? That guy seriously needs to invest in some personal bodyguards or something XD And if you're going to kill a character THAT is how you do it. I was in complete shock the first time I read that and then the action that follows... another fantastic scene. Probably one of my favourites from this whole episode. My other favourite scene has to be the reunion between Oliver and Chloe, that was just about perfect in my opinion Creepy man in black have me worried, knowing all about our heros. Both nervous and excited to see where that storyline takes us. Act 4: Nice to see Helena coming back to her friends and re-evalutaing the decisions she made. Despite my initial misgivings about her character in season 1 i've really grown to like her Skipping over the Bruce/Selina scene.... XD Massive twist with Two Face rocking up to help Wesley escape, and I thought the episode was winding down! Act 5: Would have liked to see Chloe kick a little more ass in the scene with Two Face and Wesley but it was fun when she called Oliver in with the "Now would be a great time to do your thing, babe.". And another massive twist with Perry revealing that Helena is the Huntress! Looks like Perry's been turned into someone's puppet, I feel sorry for the guy. Okay, all up I thought this was a really good episode. I did have a little problem with the pacing, it was almost like there were two different stories in the one episode. The first being the whole 'lockdown' and the second being Two Face coming back with Wes for revenge. I didn't think they really flowed as one episode so when I was reading I found that after the initial story died down I was just waiting for the episode to finish and when it didn't I was just constantly distracted by the thought of 'wait, when is this supposed to end?'. Also, Bruce and Lucius were supposed to be good friends, right? Why didn't we see any reaction from Bruce to Lucius' death? It was like he died and was then forgotten. Anyway, I'm still going to give this episode an 8.5/10 because I really did enjoy it and can't wait to get around to reviewing episode 4!

I've been a bit slack but finally got around to reviewing Watchtower's third episode Lockdown. I actually read this one when it first came out so I'm kinda only skim-reading it for this review. So if my review is a little shorter than normal that would be why Thank you for reviewing Watchtower! I haven't had a lot of time to sit down and do much lately, writing and VPN wise, but I have a bit of time on my hands now so I'm going to reply to this review. I really appreciate that you're catching up, and you're not being slack at all. And I'll be leaving a review for Edge of Vision this weekend, as I'll have time to with this rainy weather. xD Chloe and Oliver have a lot to overcome in these first few episodes of the seasons - some issues that came up from last season, and others that sort of scratch their way to the surface due to events this season. As Chloe is trying to prioritise her life, and balance things out, sometimes her relationship gets pushed aside and that was something I wanted to address. Also, its fun doing the whole 'the last time we spoke to each other, we were in a fight, and I never got the chance to...' kind of stories. I found it was the perfect opportunity to do that with this episode. Originally -- and I've realised that in basically every response I give for a review, I start rambling on about the 'could haves' and the 'might haves' for episodes, but just bear with me -- the problems between Chloe and Oliver were much more severe and they were going to seemingly break up. But I felt that was too extreme, and if they were going to 'break up' their relationship wouldn't be as stable as, realistically, it should be at this point. And I'm glad you're liking the Selina/Chloe stuff! xD Thank you! It was important to build Wesley's character, and to make sure he didn't just come off as just a plot point. I wanted to give him some backstory, and some sort of reason for putting the entire building under Lockdown. It was also important for him to come off as a frightening threat, and the whole rampage of killing every single one was to help push that across, so I'm glad it worked and you enjoyed it. The whole 'keycard' thing helped with that, too, and the idea only popped up in the rewrites, which helped create the characters 'villain' aspect for the episode. No, no, its very helpful. I think what I meant was more along the lines of showing life, in which case 'dart open' doesn't really work. Picturing it, it would have been more or less him just blinking to show that he's still alive as I wanted to give the impression he was dead to begin with, and then surprise the audience. Unless I'm remembering the scene wrong ... Hahahahaha! Oh, well... hahaha. xD YAY. Lucius fan. But, awww... sorry ... HAHA. Too true. I'm not sure HOW his character tends to end up in these situations. I swear, I don't sit down and go: "Now, how will Perry get kidnapped in this episode?" Hahaha. It just happens. Its weird. I remember back in season one he got called the 'damsel in distress' and I was like: "Oh, that'll ease off towards the second half of the season..." and now its season two and he's still getting put in these situations. I should probably take note or try and avoid it like the plague. HAHA. Thank you! There were a lot of elements in this episode that were changed in the rewrites, but there was always going to be a death, and it was always going to be Lucius. I wanted it to be one of those deaths that couldn't be predicted, and also, I felt it would be unrealistic that such a scary situation, and such a deadly character like Wesley, wouldn't bring about casualties. I felt like, yes, I created a scary scenerio and there was a lot of build up, but when it reached the climax there had to be something big. I'm really glad, story wise, that you enjoyed this! Yeah, I really didn't want to drag out a huge Helena/Chloe fight for a couple of episodes. I mean, drama is good, but, I think it would have made Helena completely unlikeable. Yeah, this new big bad is definitely good at pulling people's strings, and Perry fell victim to it. With that final confrontation, Chloe could have probably kicked a little more ass, but I felt she got her big fight scene back with Wes inside Wayne Enterprise. Yeah, I can understand that. It sort of feels like two parts, one being the actual lockdown and the other being the consequences and resolution of that. So the pacing could have been fixed, but, ultimately, I'm rather happy with the outcome and how the two sort of elements of the episode came together. Two-Face popped up in the rewrites because a huge chunk of the 'lockdown' stuff was taken out. Guido was a big part of the first draft, and we got a little more of his attempt to escape, and his own big confrontation with Wes, but it felt to pull from the main story a lot more than the Two-Face subplot, which sounds weird, but it did. Hmm. I'm not actually sure if it was established they were good friends, but I'd assume they were close, yeah. Things moved too quickly to steal a reaction from Bruce, IMO. Chloe was about to be killed too, and so Bruce was more trapped in that moment to react to his other friend dying. Then he got shot himself, so, yeah, I'd say things were moving too quickly for him to react to Lucius' death, AND shout for Chloe's safety. Thanks MJ! Your reviews always give me something new to look at, and I really appreciate the time you take to read AND review all the episodes. Don't stress about catching up, because I'm sure your busy. And I hope to be able to do the same for you with Edge of Vision when I get the time to sit down and read/review this weekend. Thanks again! xD

Selina has been one of those characters that has a lot of fascinating layers that I've enjoyed peeling back as the season progresses, and I'm so happy about the reactions to her character that I've gotten, both good and bad. I'm glad you're enjoying her, and this season so much. So thank you! xD

Don't worry about that in the slightest! You're talking to the chick who sits down and watches the actor/director commentaries on every dvd she gets (seriously, I get so upset if the dvd doesn't have commentaries XD) so it's safe to assume I love hearing about all the things that go on behind the scenes, in this case what you'd planned for the episode compared to how it actually turned out
