2 episodes in one day isn't the best idea when writing reviews, since I can't remember what happened in what episode. Anyway, Stephan is becoming more and more awesome every episode. I've always liked him and he's just at the top of his game here. Outsmarting Klaus... this show is just so good.
As for the love triangle, its the first one I actually like, on TV, movies and books. I'll always like Elena/Stephan more, but I'm interested in seeing Elena/Damon as well.
Also, Bonnie is incredibly unlikeable, at least for me. She's just so goddamn judgmental.
God I cannot wait for next week.

I liked this episode. Not as much as the previous one, but it wasn't bad. Not bad at all. I think some of the focus on Bonnie was refreshing. I know a lot of people don't like her character, but it was nice to see her in the center of everything, rather than off to the side, or completely in the background. I'm not that huge a fan of the storyline, but it's always fun to see her background, and more witches. I'm glad the "Original Family" plot is moving forward. I was worried they were just going to drag it out until the end of the season.
Surprisingly, it was good to see Elijah back. I never actually liked his character, but I wasn't expecting him to return *I purposely restrain myself viewing spoilers, and totally ignore the credits at the beginning of every episode* But, I think it was pretty cool what Damon did. I'm looking forward to next week... or whenever this show is coming back on.

Thoughts on "Bringing Out the Dead" Last night's episode definitely wasn't the best. Overall, it was probably a low point of the season. However, it did have its moments. Caroline and Bill's plot was very solid, and emotional. I really felt for Caroline, and I respected Bill's decision to die. I thought that was one of the best parts of the episode. The Original Family storyline was very predictable. I knew that the Mother was in the fourth coffin from the moment they introduced it. But, I love that Rebekah is back. And I'm interested in learning more about the other originals. Elijah deserves a slow clap for not being Klaus' BITCH last night. Overall, this episode wasn't exactly "bad." I'd describe it as boringly entertaining, if that makes a shred of sense.

Alright episode this week Elijah was at the top of his game, using Elena as bait so Damon and Stefan would kill Abby and Bonnie, even if it didn't go down exactly like that. His scene at the end where he realizes that he acts like a noble vampire but is just as bad as the rest of them was a great scene, reminding me why he's my favorite of the originals.
Rebecca discovering markings that say that there was a white oak tree that existed after her family burnt the original one to the ground 1,000 years ago. I think we've found the weapon to kill Klaus. Maybe.
And it seems that Meredith is the serial killer, which I've suspected from the beginning even with her previous alibi.
One thing pissed me off, when Caroline said "Put yourself in her (Bonnie’s) shoes. Everything that happened tonight was to save you. And that’s okay, because she loves you, so much. But some how, she’s always the one who gets hurt."
Sure, Bonnie has been through some shit, her grandmother dying and her mother turning into a vampire. But so has everybody else, Elena having her father and vampire mother dying, her aunt dying and she herself dying. Caroline is a vampire and Jeremy has had two of his girlfriends die. It annoyed me to no end when she said that.

"All My Children" I don't know, I really enjoyed the episode. I loved Elijah and Rebekkah more than I actually like Klause. too the point where i'm sad to see Elijah go. If he wants to be noble what he should do is help everyone kill Klause. And this time not switch sides at the last possible second. I'm really hope Rick was just dreaming or something, I'm sure he's just gonna have his memory erased again. They wont kill him off, especially not after killing Jenna and writting off Jeremy. He's the only family Elena has left. Though this does remind me the fact that they have yet to explained why he came back messed up that one time but has used the rings several times afterwards and is fine. I actually think there's some other reason behind Meredith shooting Alaric, maybe there was something behind him we didn't see. As an important character in the book I'm sure she's gonna stick around for awhile, maybe even become a series regular for season four which would be awesome cause I've always been a fan of Torri DeVitto.

Alaric has been treated sooo cruelly this season. He's been run down by a car, stabbed, now it seems like he's been shot... there's only so much a guy can take. Ring or no ring. lol!

Mixed feelings on the new Vampire Diaries episode. Elena really needs to keep the Salvatore brothers out of her life for a while, and move on from both of them. I get the feeling the show is moving towards her turning to Damon, which is beyond ridiculous to me. I'm sorry, but it is.
Damon and Stefan had a lot of great moments, and I think they've proved to us that show doesn't always have to focus on them as Elena's love interests. I'm kind of upset Stefan took the bite, and Damon's tactics kind of pissed me off, but I like how it resolved between those two. The pay off was good.
I don't know what to say on Alaric. The twist was a bit of a shock, but then I realised that I really don't care. Haha. It was a "wow" turned into a "meh" in a matter of seconds. They built it up, and the reveal was coming in the last two minutes of the episode, and then it happened, and ... then I lost interest. Alaric can be a great character sometimes, and other times I question what he brings to the show, and these other characters. There's a lot of potential for him to be something more, and hopefully the writers are realising that now, giving him this big plot twist and all.
Speaking of that, the writers need to do something big with Matt now, or kill him off, or have him leave. He can't survive on this show if his only purpose is to be Elena's best friend. Whenever I see him on the show, I have to wonder how the actor feels being the one character who doesn't get to set people on fire, throw vampires around, or fall in love (this season, at least). He's really just there to pat Elena on the back and tell her everything will be alright - granted, he does a good job, but still. And at first, when they had the episode where Bonnie tells him that he should be glad he's not a witch, or a medium, or a vampire, or a doppleganger, I realised that they could use him to be the audience, and question WHY these things are always happening, but still -- nothing.
My biggest disappointment was how much they teased Sage (Cassidy Freeman), and she was in about 20 seconds of the episode, and didn't even show up at the end for a cliffhanger. I'm assuming most of the clips from the promos are from next week's episode. I know she's in at least TWO episodes. Anyway, I say she should be a regular, but they'll probably kill her off.
Lastly, I've sorta gotten use to Tyler and Jeremy being gone. They destroyed Jeremy's character for me with his "I can see dead people" storyline, when he cheated on Bonnie, and suddenly realised he's a necropheliac. But they MIGHT be able to redeem him in the back half of the season. And just when Tyler was redeemed in my eyes, he became a Hybrid, and Klaus' bitch. I really hope he dies in the finale, if not sooner.
Anyway, this was a pretty decent episode. It didn't live up to the hype, though. It had some great moments in it, though.

I totally agree with everything you said Jack. I agree that the show needs to step away from the whole Elena/Stefan/Damon love triangle. It's getting old. As for which brother should she be with is irrelevant to me considering she already made it clear she never wants to be a vampire, and then last night we found out that she fell in love with Stefan because her parents had died and she knew he'd never die. HUH? What? And Alaric being the killer is ridiculous! I was secretly hoping that we had a 100 year old psycho (a real nutjob) running around killing founding members, not a boozy high school teacher. So he's going crazy because he's died and been brought back to life so many times because of the ring? Doesn't that mean that Jeremy should also be on board the crazy train? He's died a few times. I don't know the storyline seems weak. Not the best episode to have after a hiatus. I guess it could of been worse, it could of been The Secret Circle. Don't even get me started on that show. ;D

This show just isn't a good as it used to be. They keep walking away from the main storyline to focus on bullshit nobody wants to see.

They're stalling. Haven't got enough material to last completely on the main storyline, so their adding serial killer bullshit in.
On another note, this latest episode reminds me why I originally casted Matt Davis as Michael in Land Of The Living Dead.

This week's episode was pretty damn good! So, we learned that if you kill an Original Vampire, you basically wipe out their entire bloodline. Twist! Came at a cost, though -- and I loved Sage sooooo much. Sometimes the writers make their trigger-happiness too obvious with the amount of characters they slaughter. Klaus forced an extremely emotional Bonnie into reversing the spell, threatening Jeremy's life (someone who has been reduced to 5 second cameos now -- I wonder who he pissed off in the writers room!) Stefan and Elena admitted their love for each other, but Stefan wanted her to admit there's something between her and Damon. The triangle continues to wash, rince, and repeat itself. And its still painfully annoying to watch. As for Klaus, he managed to get his hands on the stake, and a very stupid, stupid Alaric lost the last stake. Great work, really. Idiot.
But, no. This episode was great. The stakes have risen, and its great to have such a huge threat against Damon and Stefan, who could very much die this season (which they won't, but its a possibility none-the-less). Klaus is starting to become one of those villains who you just want to die alread, and right when that has happened, you realise if HE dies, then all these other casualties will fall with him, and eventually, the entire line of vampires could be extinct.
The highlight of this episode for me was Bonnie. She was forced to work for Klaus, break the spell, had Jeremy and her mother's life threatened, and went through such an emotional turmoil that she broke down, and cried her eyes out. It was so powerful. I honestly think Bonnie is one of the best characters on the show -- the fact that they don't always spotlight her isn't a bad thing, IMO, simply because when she has these moments, they have such a bigger impact.
I'm anxious for the finale. I have a feeling that Tyler will die before the end, which will mean Caroline and Stefan will have no problem killing Klaus, but I doubt they'll kill HIM off. I don't know what to expect to be honest, because lets face it -- this is the Vampire Diaries, and very little about this show is predictable. Anyway, this was a good episode. The only bad thing I can say about it was that they killed Sage off too soon, and that the "cliffhanger" at the end was so dumb and worthy of a facepalm. Honestly, it ended with Alaric stupidly losing the stake. Dumbass. DUMB. ASS. Honestly, I was hoping for something bigger. Like learning he unknowingly killed an original, or something, I don't know. But the cliffhanger was baaaaad.

^^ Once again you hit it on the head Jack. So I guess now the race is on to find out which original created Rose. My guess Elijah, you know since Rose was so devoted to him and her accidentally turning Katharine was a big slap in the face to him. So then the gang will have no problem killing Klaus. Now Rebecca I would liked to see more of. I think she would be an interesting ally and great addition to TVD gang... not just because I am madly in love with another hotty blond who will remain nameless... oh I can't help myself Caroline! LOL. But at the same time she's an original which means there wouldn't be too many big bads that she couldn't stop. Hmmm... Anyone else think the stake is with Jeremy? No just me? LOL. Anyhow that's my two cents.

Looking forward to these last 2-3 episodes for season 3. This has been the longest season of TVD. Feels like they've been dragging this thing with Delena, and Klaus and the other originals for about 3 years. Can't wait to move on from this.

All I know is that Klaus' number is soo up. He should have died in the season 2 finale, but if they don't kill him at the end of season 3, then decide to keep him around for season 4, I promise you -- I'm done. lol!
