Why are you writing this show? Really... lol But no, let's not talk about Klaus. I have plenty of unpleasant words for the writers for keeping him around for THREE F-CKING SEASONS. God, why can't he just go away, for real? At least I won't have to see his creepy face anymore, but then again.... we'll be seeing more of Tyler now, since he's playing Klaus now, I guess. So, we were screwed either way. Goodness gracious, this really sucks.
Yeah, I totally agree with you there. They spent time building Elena up, making her stronger as a woman, making her more independent when it comes to fighting, having her train, and then they just decide to scratch that and turn her into a vampire. What a waste of time, but I guess that's the real world.

It just - ugh, it annoys me because he was a decent villain that served his purpose, and they defeated him! He should just go away now, and let us find a new big bad to deal with. Like, I never hated Klaus, but after a full season of him, I grew kind of tired of it. And I was partly okay with him taking over Tyler, because then I thought: "Well, they'll find a way to save Tyler, and trap Klaus' spirit somewhere else where he can't come back." But then the actor who plays him is back as a regular for S4, and its just - I've had enough of the character at this point! ...Although, I'm kind of a fan of the Klaus/Caroline idea. And they did tease that he would show her the world, and open her eyes to what she's been missing out on, so I would kind of like to see that go somewhere (even though I like Stefan/Caroline more, but you know, that probably will never officially happen). But if they want the character to remain interesting, they need to shake him up a little - have him join the good guys, or just do SOMETHING with him that is new. I'm getting uber frustrated thinking about this show now, hahaha. |

Yeah, even though we saw him BURN, apparently he didn't completely "combust" or some shit. I don't know. The producers just seem to be in love with the guy - and yeah, he does a good performance, but I swear... if the character is pulling his some old crap, I'm gonna scream, lmao. |

I was watching the 2012 Comic Con panel yesterday. So sad that Kat Graham wasn't there. Seriously... everyone except my two favorite characters (Bonnie and Caroline) were there. Hell, Zach (Matt) was there. lol

So, I just finshed the Season 3 finale, and I thought it was pretty great. One of the best episodes of the series so far. But my favorite episodes is still "The Sun Also Rises". This series always goes up and down for me. Especially the overuse of cliffhangers -- some of them being super unnecessary. Yes, I realize it's to keep people interested in the show, but, come on, people. Like, making Alaric a serial killer, bringing in Caroline's father, who, ultimately, died anyway, and a few more. But I still find myself enjoying the show a whole lot, which is, basically, a plus.
Anyways, the characters on this show are insane. Like, seriously, insane. They bring so many reoccurring characters in, and almost all of them end up dying in a pretty gruesome way. Some of them, I care for, and some of them, I want to see die. I know that sounds...pretty awful, but some of them need to go. Most specifically, Tyler. Like, seriously, this guy does nothing. I hate his little "romance" with Caroline. I hated the fact that they brought werewolves in, which also did nothing for me. And I think he stinks as a characters. He's definitely my least favorite of the entire show, that I can think of. I also dislike Klaus with a strong passion, and shoving his soul into Tyler's body makes me think that Season 4 will ultimately be a repeat of Season 3. I really don't see how Klaus, or any of the Originals for that matter, are going to fit into the next season. Anyways, I don't like him. XD
Favorite Characters
Rose - she's my favorite character of the entire series. I love her so much, and I was so excited when she came back for Season 3, even if she was a stupid ghost. And even thought she's my favorite, I really loved the way the writers wrote her off. I thought it was really special for her, and I was totally rooting for her and Damon... XD
Caroline Forbes - I mean, Caroline is Caroline. I thought her transition was a highlight of the series for me. And I thought it was super great development for her character. She's just...a BAMF. XD
Bonnie Bennet - No words. Just...no words. She is so awesome. She takes everybody's crap, and even though she has the power to make them spontaneously combust, she doesn't, because she's nice. But, she's not so nice after the Season 3 finale, if you know what I mean.
Alaric Saltzman - He is soooo awesome! Ugh, he's so awesome. So, I love the fact that he stepped up as guardian for Jeremy and Elena, even though he really didn't have to, but he did anyway. I love that about his character. I just...ugh, I didn't want him to die., even though he's died about fifty times during the whole series. Him, Rose and Jenna are really the only deaths I've gotten remotely sad over.
Elijah & Rebekah Mikaelson - The only two originals I actually like. It just seems that they're the only two, besides Finn when he was with Sage, that actually have somewhat of a soul. I love them both, but I really don't know how they'll work into Season 4.

Okay, so, my favorite highlights of the entire series. I really loved it sooooo much when Alaric took up the role of "guardian" for Elena and Jeremy, as I said above. It was soooo great. I also loved Rose's death scene, also said above. She's, if I remember properly, really the only one who got a "happy" death, despite being staked through the heart. I also really enjoyed when Liz accepted Caroline for being a vampire. It was obvious that it was really hard for her, and when she finally said out loud, "hey, I still love you!", it was just so special. And Bonnie losing her Grams was really powerful for me. It turned Bonnie into a really strong human being, making her the BAMF she is today. XD BTW, can we please petition for Katherine to come back and take Elena's place? Katherine is so much more cooler than Elena. So much cooler.
I really didn't enjoy Elena becoming a vampire. I mean, I want her to become a vampire, but I thought it was a little too soon for that to happen. Also, the whole werewolf crap, even thought I really enjoyed Jules and her standing up to Damon-ness. The whole 'Ghosts' storyline made me roll my eyes so much, even though I got to see Anna again. Vicki was okay, too. And the whole freaking love-triangle that will, more than likely, last the entire series. They just really overuse it sometimes, and I find myself just...not caring about it anymore. And that's a bad thing, seeing is how they're making it a major focal point of the series.
So, yea, that's my take on "The Vampire Diaries" so far. They have some ups and downs, but I really can't wait until the Season 4 premiere, which will hopefully be more like the Season 2 one than the Season 3 one.

I wasn't very shocked either. I agree she was the only reason I ever watched the secret circle did you know she and Claire Holt where both on a TV show together before TVD so I hope to see the two have some scenes together.  |

If we have to put up with another season of the Damon/Elena/Stefan love triangle, I'm going to scream. I get that the dynamic will clearly shift now, and they introduced the fact that Damon did indeed meet Elena first, but man, the triangle just makes me hate Damon, hate Elena, and wish Stefan would go Ripper on both their asses. I don't understand how Damon can be so infatuated with his brother's girlfriend. And if he still holds a flame for her- even after she chose Stefan over him- then I'm going to lose all faith in that character.
...secretly hoping for a Bonnie-packed season. I think she's taking a darker turn that looks reeeeeally interesting. And I'm hoping we get more Bonnie/Damon stuff. I think that dynamic is one of my favourites, and if we get to see a friendship develop, or even just a trust, I'll be happy. But yeah, S2 made me understand Damon, and like him- then S3 took a piss all over that. I'm hoping S4 repairs the damage. XD

The one thing I hate about this show is how inconsistent, and flat out lazy it can be at times. They don't take the time to develop characters and relationships, and when they do, they tend to "overdo" it, like the Damon/Elena/Stefan triangle. I really wish they would just move on from that, and take these characters to new places, because it's beyond old if I'm being honest.
But yeah, I'm looking forward to season four. Elena as a vampire should be interesting, and I'm excited about seeing what they do with Bonnie's character this season. Hopefully they won't sideline her until they need a quick fix like they have been doing for three years.

^That random ass relationship Bonnie ended up in towards the end of Season Three was just... I can't even remember that guy's name, and all of a sudden he's like her rock, and they're going to the dance together, and... who the hell was he?! Hahaha.
