Ugh, tell me about it. All of Bonnie's relationships were awful. Bonnie/Jeremy... come on. They didn't even take each other seriously, the writers didn't take them seriously, how did they expect us to take them seriously. Gimme a break. lmao!

Then they got together, I was happy, then the season ended, and when it came back, Jeremy was all of a sudden not over his dead exes. Ugh! And sadly, I'm pretty sure they're rehashing the Jeremy/Bonnie stuff in Season Four.

Clearly. LMFAO! And then there's the whole Tyler=Klaus situation. *rolls eyes* UGH. Look, I can admit that Klaus was one of my favourite aspects of S3, especially when they did the whole Stefan/Klaus arc in the very beginning. But unless we're looking at a redemption story here, he's kind of run his course as a series regular character. I don't like how the writers said they were going to kill him, but the actor's performance was so great that they want to take more advantage of it- its just... I don't know. I don't know how he factors into the show now that he's not the main threat. And if they lower him to some love triangle, which they already started to do with this Tyler/Caroline/Klaus thing... they're just going to ruin his character. I'm getting all negative in my TV discussion today, I know. But COME ON. Hahaha.

If we have to put up with another season of the Damon/Elena/Stefan love triangle, I'm going to scream. I get that the dynamic will clearly shift now, and they introduced the fact that Damon did indeed meet Elena first, but man, the triangle just makes me hate Damon, hate Elena, and wish Stefan would go Ripper on both their asses. I don't understand how Damon can be so infatuated with his brother's girlfriend. And if he still holds a flame for her- even after she chose Stefan over him- then I'm going to lose all faith in that character. ...secretly hoping for a Bonnie-packed season. I think she's taking a darker turn that looks reeeeeally interesting. And I'm hoping we get more Bonnie/Damon stuff. I think that dynamic is one of my favourites, and if we get to see a friendship develop, or even just a trust, I'll be happy. But yeah, S2 made me understand Damon, and like him- then S3 took a piss all over that. I'm hoping S4 repairs the damage. XD I completely agree with you Jack, the show has been dominated by the love triangle and all the relationships. It's become too soppy. They cut/wreck all the good storylines (Jeremy's powers, Bonnie's mother, and if i'm honest that was about it for s3), and leave SOME storylines for too long until they've just become too manipulated and held onto for so long, I gave up taking them seriously. *cough*Originals *cough*. I've given up watching this show in full and will only watch the clips with Bonnie in (my favourite character) and possibly Phoebe Tonkin's character. This show used to be one of my favourites but now it it just dissapoints me. It's gone from horror to leaning on fantasy. From drama to just plain needlessly over-the-top. And the show used to be emotional but now it's just plain cheesy.

-sideglance- well I may be the only one, but the Originals are probably the only reason I'm watching this. I thought they were great, especially Klaus, Rebekah and Elijah. Their little trio.

Rebekah and Elijah, yes. Klaus, no. Am I the only one who liked Kol? Anyhow. The reason I say Klaus is because once they gave him a face, his scare factory went right out the window, and all you could do was sympathize for the hybrid whose father hated him. I'm hoping this season turns things around and head it a better direction, especially with Bonnie doing some edgier things, and Elena being a vampire. Fingers crossed, but I'm not holding my breath.

The Originals were fantastic. Klaus, Rebekah, Elijah, Finn, Mikael (played by the awesome Sebastian Roché). I even like Kol, though getting taken down by Damon several times really lowers his ranking in my books.
With a group of characters like these, I must question why I should root for the main cast when these characters are FAR more interesting.

I did enjoy the Originals' story arc. I'm just not too crash hot on Klaus being reduced to a teenage love triangle with Caroline and Tyler. I just fail to see how pivotal Klaus can be to the story when he's not the central villain, and they already spent a full season with him as the villain- I just ... I'm very worried about his involvement in the fourth season. Very worried.

^Yeah, okay, that I can definitely see. Klaus was built up to be this mega-threat that makes all vampires piss their pants. I guess I've just kinda accepted that he's long since run his course as the "big bad" type of character and learned to enjoy him as just an interesting character.

I really like Klaus. He's part of what makes Season Three my favourite season- its primarily the love triangle between Damon/Elena/Stefan that really annoys me about this show. But with Klaus, I was extremely satisfied with the season finale (you know, minus the "Klaus lives through Tyler" aspect). He's so driven by the fear of being alone, and I can see his desire to be with Caroline factoring into that, but we don't need two triangles on the show- hell, if it were up to me, there wouldn't be ANY- and to have a character, who I think is pretty badass, whether he softened over the course of the season or not- to be reduced to this kind of storyline...
Its kind of what annoys me about Damon a little bit. You know, he set himself up for defeat, and then he mopes about it. Elena started dating Stefan, and had no interest in Damon at the beginning. But he weaved his way into her life, and developed feelings for her- which is ridiculous because he's already been through this triangle with Katherine! And then, when they egged on this huge "Elena has to make a choice"- it felt so stupid... she could choose the guy she actually had a relationship with, fell in love with, and still cares for, or she could start over with this guy who, up until now, she'd either hated, or wish she hated more, which she views as "passion". They would literally do it once, and then the flame would be gone, honestly! And damn the showrunner to hell for promising a definitive end to the triangle in the S3 finale, only to tweak it around in favor of Damon, and start fresh for S4. *screams*
Kind of got off topic there, but with Klaus: If they want Caroline/Klaus, go for it! If they want Caroline/Tyler - I hate it, but go for it! Don't pull this "Caroline is caught between the two men, even if she doesn't realise she has feelings for Klaus yet" crap when they can't even get their first love triangle right.

Oh Brady, you know as well as I do that the love triangle will never disappear. They ALMOST finished it in last seasons finale but circumstances have changed so the writers will drag it out even more. All in the name of what they believe is drama.

Okay, although the pace of the premiere was very very fast, almost too fast, I still enjoyed it. I'm liking this dark place they are taking Matt, woe is me I kill Elena attitude. Grams! WTF?!? Shit just got real, son. Lol. I like that scary Klaus has returned and sympathetic Klaus is gone. Rebecca has a heart, which we sort of knew, but I see her quickly becoming one of my favorites. Elena now remembers everything Damon has done but still chooses Stefan, and I am glad. Enough of this stupid love triangle, but I'm sure it will return eventually. Lol. I still want Sheriff Forbes and Damon to hook up... Come on, am I the only one? Lol. I've been rooting for them from the beginning Lol. Anyhow that is my rant for now.
