I literally made a face when Stefan was like "Bonnie made this, just in case." And Elena's all "A daylight ring.." No, Elena. No, it's just a pretty ring they're going to give you for becoming a blood-sucking creature. Congrats. XD But I did enjoy the premiere. Not the best, but still pretty good.

I was really disappointed by the season premiere. The only aspect of the episode that had me the least bit interested was when Bonnie was fighting to save Elena, and tapped into more dark magics. Damon's reaction to Elena's death was infuriating, treating Matt like dirt- when it wasn't his fault- and tucking a trantrum the entire episode. Stefan and Elena had a few cheesy moments that didn't sit that well for me. And once again, the writers prove that all Caroline and Tyler have together is "sex" - they're reunited, and all Caroline wants to do is hump in a forest. As we know, it was Klaus, but still. Solving the "Klaus in someone else's body" was ridiculously rushed- in fact, the entire episode felt rushed. The main antagonists of the council/vampire hunters felt like a step back, but did continue on from what was set up in the last season's finale, so it did work. But going from Klaus, to hunters? No. The ending was probably the second thing I enjoyed about the episode. And seeing Rebekah again was the third, and last. I was hoping she would roll her eyes at Stefan/Elena, like I was, when they were captured.
The good news is, I didn't like the last season's opener, and that turned out to be my favourite season. Of course, I hated the second episode even more, so I'm going to try and keep with this show for a few more episodes before giving up. But I just left this premiere so disappointed and so infuriated- which kinda sucks. At least the love triangle seems to be dead... like "dead" dead. xD

HOLY CRAP. ALARIC. IN GHOST. FORM. But forserious now. That end scene, one of the FEW that wasn't a cliffhanger, was one of the best scenes of the show so far, in my opinion. Thought it was pretty strong for them to get Damon talking to Alaric's grave, because that was, like, the only friends he had. Anyways, I enjoyed this episode a whole lot better than the premiere. GETTIN' BETTA', TVD.

Okay, just finished watching tonights episode and can I say I love the new Vampire hunter. Now that's a villain. I'm looking forward to seeing what sort of things he's bringing to the table, and his "ghostly" tattooes. For the most part the episode was a little ho hum, it really wasn't until the church did things get really interesting for me. And can I say the last two scenes were ridiculously sad. God, I love this show. Lmao!

I don't know why, but I found episode two a lot better than the premiere. I liked seeing how Elena is adjusting, or not adjusting, to being a vampire, and that whole journey, even though we've been through it over and over again with the amount of humans being turned in this show, it looks pretty interesting so far. The new villain is bad ass. Never thought I would be so excited about another hunter, but this guy seems pretty cool. I love mysterious characters, and he definitely is one. Looking forward to seeing what new things he brings to the table.
Good things about this episode? Hmm... for one, no Klaus. That's always a plus in my book. Caroline was sweet to Elena. Haha. Being her big vampire sister or something. Anyway, this season looks promising. It's still got time to screw up, and I'm sure it will. But for now... good job VD.

"Memorial" was a much better episode than the premiere. I really like the mystery behind the new big bad, and even though I second guessed the whole "hunter" aspect, there seems to be so much more to him that could very well carry out a good arc for the season. I also loved that they took the time to mourn all the losses of the series so far, and pay tribute to them- it was heartbreaking to see that end scene with Damon and Alaric. Not gonna lie, got a bit teary eyed. And the Caroline/Elena scene was a definite highlight for me.
Only downfall was that the writers continue to fail in showing me that Caroline and Tyler are more than just "a couple that has sex every week." I don't get that relationship- I understand they're both "horny creatures" or whatever, but still... they're incredibly difficult to put up- and I kind of hope Klaus steals Caroline off Tyler by the end of the season. Or you know, Tyler dies. That will be better, actually. (Although he did have a pretty heroic moment in the episode).
Oh, and another highlight: Stefan and Bonnie. That was such a sweet moment, when he just took her into his arms. These two are my favourite characters, by far. XD

A cure? That seems like such an easy way out. I hope it's not true. And I love Rebekah, and I wish people would stop stabbing her. That is all.

I don't think it'll happen. I think they'll probably find it, and it will end up getting destroyed. I'm really hoping it's just one of those useless cliffhangers they throw in there. XD

Yeah, I'm getting so sick of Rebekah dying. It's getting a bit ridiculous. If I drank, I could play the drinking game on how many times she gets stabbed with that friggen dagger.

On a more pervy note- is it just me or is Katherine not only a much better character than Elena, but somehow, strangely, w aaaaaay hotter. Its the same actress, but somehow- SOME. HOW- Katherine is just... *dead* I just hope its not an hallucination and that she really is back. Unless its been confirmed that its not an hallucination, and I'm behind here. XD

Really enjoyed the episode that just aired. Although, I do have to admit, I started about twenty minutes in, so I did miss quite a lot (especially between Klaus and Caroline, which I'm gutted about). Stefan and Elena broke up. Had to see this coming. But what I don't understand is that if all of Elena's emotions are magnified, and she died choosing Stefan, then shouldn't that mean he's still the number one guy in her mind? I'm just glad Elena has finally admitted to this connection she shares with Damon, so they can just get it over and done with already. Personally, I think it would be nice to see Damon actually stand up for himself, and not give in when Elena confronts him to be "something more". Of course, that's also the Damon/Bonnie shipper in me that's quietly dying in a pool of tears. But, even that made progress this week as Bonnie referred to Damon as "her friend". They're building, slowly, but surely. Hehehehe.
I'm not sure if we're meant to feel like this or not, but ever since Elena became a vampire, I've really grown less attached to her. I think, knowing she wanted to be human and wanted that life... its a struggle to see this transformation. Whether she gets cured or not, she's changed, and she's going to continue to change. I also think, back on that "magnified" connection she shares with Damon- he's the one who turned her, ultimately. So there's that bond. It kind of gives me hope for Stefan/Caroline, purely because they should share a similar connection, and I like their chemistry together- they would be the Angel/Cordelia of the series, if done right.
Speaking of Caroline, this relationship between her and Tyler needs to end, and as for Tyler, he needs to die... soon. The sad thing is, this Hayley chick rocks up, and already she's a better match for Tyler. I hate that they finally introduced some juicy drama for "Forwood" or whatever the hell its called, and then take it all away by Tyler being all "Oh yeah, we didn't actually sleep together. I'm just messing with my good bro, Klaus." No, mate. And this "trying to break the sire bond for all the others" storyline is just not working for me. Call me bitter, but... no just call me bitter because I am.
To end on a good note- Bonnie finally feels like a major player again. It kind of irked me that in Season Two, she was this huge force not to be reckoned with, and then Season Three really just shat all over her. One episode (in S2) she's taking on Klaus and literally bringing him to his knees, and then she just disappeared into the background. But now, I feel like her strength and importance is being recognised, and I really feel like she'll be a major player this season. Same can be said for Jeremy- I wanna know more about his storyline, and see him become this hunter. He's a character the show ruined for me during the third season, but he seems to have his edge back, and I can't wait for more stuff with him.
Oh and damn it TVD. Y U NO BRING REAL KATHERINE BACK? So gutted it was an hallucination. It still felt like her, but maaaan, I just love knowing that the real Katherine is there, stirring up trouble. Hope we see her sometime soon. Love that character so much. When Elena was about to burn herself alive, I was just like "yes, now bring Katherine in as the main character, and everyone will be happy!" *throws confetti* Hahaha, but no, I really, really loved this episode (from what I saw). Its mainly characters/relationships still on the show that irk me, but that had nothing to do with this episode, really. It was all around awesome. XD
