I'm really missing Trinity. I know you're heaps busy, but just wanted to let you know, I'm still dying to see the next episode. So far this season, my favourite episodes would have to be "Mentor," and "Ivy."
In Mentor, it felt so heavy with plot - it was great. All the characters were pivotal. And the inclusion of Lex Luthor, and the little power struggle between him and Amanda Waller was great! And in Ivy, I just think you did an amazing job at introducing such a beloved DC Comics Villain. I think her origins were told well, and the way you incorporated this character into your already ongoing storyline was flawlessly pulled off. It wasn't a one-shot "Ooh, Lana vs Poison Ivy" thing.
Anyway, anxiously waiting for the next one. I hope school and life calm down soon! xD

Review: "Restless" Wow. You know, this was the episode I was anticipating the most. Valentina was slowly becoming one of my favourite characters, and the spoilers and teases for the episode just built up so many expectations, and you just hit it completely out of the park -- what an amazing episode! There wasn't a single plot element, or moment in the script that bored me, and it seemed there was an exiting twist on every page. You established an incredibly interesting and mysterious future; you brought Cynthia back from her coma, and you also handled the very supernaturally freaky storyline with Rachel really well. One of my favourite aspects of this season so far, which was shown a lot in this episode, is the whole play on authority, and disobeying that or obeying it -- the power play between Lex/Amanda is so fun to read. You've struck gold there. And with Amanda and Valentina joining forces to do that - even better. I can tell in your writing that you love to pen Valentina scenes. I definitely consider her to be one of my favourite characters on the show, and I can't believe I'm saying this -- I kind of ship Quentin/Valentina now. (I'm such a Quana traitor!) They just have so much history, and those little moments we saw, both in the future and the present (with Cynthia as Valentina), its hard NOT to love them! I have to admit, although I'm excited about Rachel's storyline, the supernatural element of it all had me worried. The show is so action orientated, introducing Rachel's inner demons was something that worried me at first. You've calmed me down though, because even though her plot seemed to take a life of its own, it tied back into Cynthia, and with all these flashes to the future, it seemed natural to have Rachel experience things that will be affecting her future. Her plot was so freaky and interesting. The little visions she had, and the images she was seeing ... mate, she was going off her face crazy! I loved it! You wrote those scenes so well, and although at times it was a big distratcion from the main plot, you managed to tie it all back in with that last shocker (Cynthia also bearing the mark). I have to say, this season is shaping up to be really f*cking brilliant. It was nice to see Lex was back. I got the impression he was trying to imply that Amanda shouldn't trust Valentina, and that she's worked with Lex before, or could be working with him now. That was interesting. I do think he's a bit smarter than what he's letting on, in the whole 'Cynthia' department, so I think he's playing Amanda like an instrument, and whether or not there is more behind his words, and his scenes/dialogue or not, he's just one of those characters I can't trust which makes him one of the most interesting characters to read. Now, the future was one of the most exciting elements of the episode. First and foremost, that opening with Cynthia being held down and poked with needles ... what a way to begin the episode, huh? So freaky. But I liked all the flashes, and the little hints. As we know, the future can change, and so I'm not sure if what we've heard/seen will play out. And I also don't know if Valentina is 100% honest in what she's revealing - Trinity's death, for one. Its exciting that Valentina is playing a much larger role in the series, and you've really added a new layer to the season by giving us, the audience, a little insight into the future. Props on the explanation of how Valentina got into the body of Cynthia. I think that was incredibly smart, and rather brilliant of you. I expected Cynthia to just suddenly SNAP and be all: "I'm Valentina." But the explanation we received was so much more thought out and interesting. I applaud you on that. God, I'm excited Trinity is back I don't want to end the review ... Little moments I loved? Lana called Quentin "Babe." Haha. That was a great little moment between them, and the whole "Why not?" Hahaha. I also loved Pete's mention of his mum, and his past. I'm glad that was brought up. The "future" flash of Quentin and Valentina was probably my favourite scene of the whole episode. And I also really enjoyed that moment when Lana mentioned Quentin being in love with Valentina, and she's like: "I've known for some time now." Ugh, its so sad. A part of me really loves Quentin/Lana, and I rooted for them during the whole of season one. The relationship came and it was amazing -- but, then there's Valentina. And she has this history with Quentin that just makes them much more interesting, and the little moments they get are great, and fun to read. I'm always dying to learn more and more about them. Overall, a perfect episode. The plots featured in the episode were interesting and captivating the whole way through. The characters involved all had their time to shine, and the moments focused on them or their relationships with another character were really, really great. Cynthia returned in a fresh, interesting way that I haven't seen done before -- I'm glad she received such a heavy plot after being gone for what seemed like forever. And, really, you've outdone yourself with this episode. In terms of length, I was glad to see such a bulky script. I do think MAYBE there was a bit too much of Rachel's supernaturally enhanced subplot that could have been cut up a little to push the pages back, but I can't really complain because it all felt relevant and important in setting up this mysterious new plot. Ultimately, its hard NOT to give this amazing episode a 10/10. Great episode, Chris! I'm beyond glad to see Trinity back!

There wasn't a single plot element, or moment in the script that bored me, and it seemed there was an exiting twist on every page. You established an incredibly interesting and mysterious future; you brought Cynthia back from her coma, and you also handled the very supernaturally freaky storyline with Rachel really well. Thanks Jack! I'm so glad you I fulfilled some of your expectations! When writing this episode, I was extremely unsure on how good it was, actually. I often second guessed myself, constantly adding/removing certain scenes, as well as editing major aspects of the episode as a hole, but I'm glad it was worth it in the end. Really?? Not a boring moment? That's a relief, because I sort of felt like this episode, in some places, was very uneventful and may come across as slow or boring. The power play between Amanda and Lex is one of the best aspects of the show for me to write for. I can never get enough of these two, and although Lex is leaving Odyssey, he'll definitely be back for more action in the coming episodes! I think Amanda's struggle to get her power back from Lex will be a plot threaded across the entire season, and I'm looking forward to the inevitable final battle between the two characters. Should be a blast You noticed, huh? I LOVE WRITING FOR VALENTINA. She's probably one of my favorite characters to write for, along with Quentin, Rachel and Amanda! She has so many layers, and such a rich history and background. It's fun revealing new aspects of her past, and future, in each episode she appears in Plus, she's really bad ass, and I tend to like to write characters where you don't actually know their motives or intentions. She's truly, a mystery. Don't feel bad, because I'm even beginning to love them more than Quana. I agree with you -- they have so much history, and it almost feels like their relationship never truly came to an end. It was just interrupted, and both of them still share some feelings toward one another, no matter how much they refuse to admit it. Expect some QUENTINA(?) very soon! I added a lot of Rachel's scenes dealing with her inner demons to set up the storyline that will be presented in the next three episodes (Realm Part 1-2, and Breakout). Also, I think it's important to have plots connect in some way, with the following episode, so this was a way to have a reflection from Restless, to Realm. I think when you read Realm, it'll be much clearer on why I gave Rachel such a *major* minor role in this episode At least, I hope so. haha River Song: Spoilers He's definitely a tough person to read. You never know if he's being honest, if he's lying, or being sarcastic. Amanda doesn't know when to take him seriously and that's a really cool factor in their relationship. Keeps Amanda on the edge, just where she needs to be! So, I'm glad you liked that. You never know with these FUTURE flashes -- it's constantly changing, but the future you saw in this episode will definitely be looked into this season. The first part of it has already come true, when Cynthia decides to dye her hair (yay!) But, stay tuned for more hints and fake outs Thanks! I'm glad you liked that. I thought it would have been bit lazy to just make it this random event without any scientific explanation behind it. It wouldn't read very well either so, I some how came up with the idea of the extraction machine Also something that will be brought back later this season! XD I think that's one of their last "cute" scenes for a while... sadly. Or, maybe I'm just pulling your strings Thanks, I thought it would be a nice callback and it would give us some background information on Pete, who we don't know much about since he left Smallville. Me too! XD I loved writing that scene, and I read it back a few times and thought -- "Damn, that's really cool. I love these two!" Also, did you catch the subtle hints -- I think there were 2... about WK's identity? hehehe. That was a bit sad for me to write, because Lana feels like there's nothing she can do to make her relationship better. I wanted to make it seem like she knows that she can't be with the man she loves, until he confronts his past -- something that will be brought up in the next string of episodes. Thank you SOO much, Jack! It's good to be back!

Damn, just realized -- this is the longest episode of Trinity I've ever written. Realm would have been the longest but, I'm cutting that thing into parts. LOL

I must say, so far "Restless" is one HELL of an episode. Paced perfectly. Characters are interesting to follow. Rachel is awesome... and kinda scary now. Amanda is awesome. Valentine just became my favorite character. You know, that kind of stuff. Safe to say, I will "restlessly" be awaiting next episode once I finish this one. I will post full a review when I do. (And yes, I had to pull that terrible pun...) Edit: Also, should I be imagining the character of Cynthia with a southern accent? Especially her "bagel" line. Please do correct my head if it is wrong so I can stop it in that case >.>

Cynthia has a very slight southern accent, meaning -- it's not noticable unless you listen really hard. But there will be instances when writing where I'll acknowlege her accent after she's said something with great emotion. Aside from those moments, you can probably imagine her voice is normal

Hey, Chris! I was finally able to review “Ivy”, and here are my reviews on when Poison Ivy comes to town:
Review: 2.04 “Ivy”
First off, I think it this was a very clever way to incorporate Pamela into the whole story. A botany convention, I mean, come on! xD And Amanda being such a bad-ass, pulling out a gun at Dr. Woodrue. Gah, I love her! You know, with her pushing Pamela into…CHEMICALS! Dun, Dun, DUN.
I really love Lana and Rachel’s relationship. The “Mentor/Student” relationship they have has to be one of the best I’ve read. So, I hope we get to see more of that in episodes to come!
Going back, I freaking LOVE Amanda Waller. She is epic. EPIC. Like, seriously an amazing villain in Trinity.
I also loved Quentin here. One of the memorable scenes, for me, was when he was at Valentina’s, with the flashbacks. I loved the descriptions for those, and the dialogue as well.
I’m not too keen on Stuart. I mean, he’s fine. And you do a fantastic job writing him, but he’s just not my favorite of Trinity. But hopefully that’ll change!
Okay, now let’s move on to effing VALENTINA. Uh, the fight scene with her and Pamela (who I will get in to below) was just pure awesomeness! The action was descriptive, which I like, and it was just…holy freaking crap, Chris, she’s growing on me.
Now, let’s talk about the title lady herself, Pamela Isley. I think your portrayal of her was very well done. I especially love her dialogue, along with other characters as well. And, may I bring up the FIGHT SCENE between her and Valentina again?! Yea, that was awesome.
I honestly can’t say anything bad about this episode. There were some typos here and there, but there weren’t that many, so I can forgive it. So, I’m going to give “Ivy” --
10/10, I loved it from head to toe, and besides “Mentor”, this is my favorite episode so far. And sorry this review is so short, I’ll try and make it longer for “Restless”!

Chris had more knowledge and more experience with the character, and while yes, she is a popular Batman villain, her origin story wasn't something that HAD to happen on Watchtower. It was fun to see Chris integrate her into the world of 'Trinity', and he had such a great story for her - it would have been such a waste to NOT have her be on the show. On top of that, 'Smallville' had villains involved in its series that were 'Superman' villains, and managed to pull it off - hell, Oliver Queen had no place in the pre-Superman mythology, and they pulled it off. So I don't think its too much of a shock to see a Batman villain's origin story being told outside of Batman's city - especially when the character is headed for Gotham at the end of the episode. XD

Hey, Chris! I was finally able to review “Ivy”, and here are my reviews on when Poison Ivy comes to town: First, just wanted to say thank you so much for this review! Appreciate it soo much Introducing Poison Ivy on Trinity was a pretty risky move. This is the first time we see her in the DC Universe here on VPN, and I wanted to make sure I did her character justice. Me being a huge fan of this character, I'm glad you liked the way I included, and developed her. And, Amanda is always awesome, it seems. I don't have to do anything to that character. haha Their relationship will be like that for as long as Rachel is on the show, I think. Because they are constantly changing roles. Both characters have a lot to teach one another, and it gets interesting in the new few episodes, I think Quentin is so fun to write for, because he's a completely original character, defying the mythos, like Chloe Sullivan did. So, it really makes me smile when someone likes the character Thank you. haha!! Stuart is a pretty shady character, so you not particularly liking or disliking him, is just where you should be... for now. I do plan on making him more likable and relatable in the coming episodes. I used to think I truly SUCKED at writing action/fight scenes. But based on the positive response I've gotten for the Pamela/Valentina fight, it's given me some more confidence with writing them. So, I'm glad you liked that as well Sorry for the typos. I'm the King of those little bastards. haha! But, I'm glad they didn't distract you too much from the episode Thank you, for that amazing rating and awesome review!! XD Very much appreciated.
