This is easily one of the most original ideas for a drama series I've ever seen. Congrats are in order, just for that. I know I told you this before, but I think a show that focuses on a bunch of criminals, and bad people, is something quite risky. But, I can see this working very well for this show. You and Amin have a great idea. I'm looking forward to seeing how it develops.

The season premiere was great. Felt good to be watching True Blood again, even though season 4 was a bit of a letdown. I'm really liking the idea of Bill and Eric working together this season. I get so tired of the Bill/Sookie/Eric love triangle, and if that's done, I'll be extremely happy.
Tara being turned into a vampire? I have a load of mixed emotions there, but I'll wait until we see exactly what's up in episode 2.
Jason and Jessica are my favorite characters, so I'm really glad they're together. Hoyt is being annoying and childish. That scene at the table had a very "high school" vibe to it, and it really irritated me. But hey, Jason did f*ck his girlfriend... more than once... in different positions. Okay, I'll be quiet.
Pam. What can I say about Pam... she stole the episode for me, even though she was buried for most of it. Her lines were priceless, as usual. Looking forward to more Pam this season. All in all, the show starts on a high note. Let's see if they can keep it up.

Finished the pilot for "Rebirth." 70 friggen pages long, and was a b*tch to write, but it's finally done. If anybody wants to read, I'll PM it to you. Now, I'm considering outlining ESPionage, because I'm thinking about making that into a movie script (series of movie scripts, possibly?...)

I sort of miss season one Derek. I mean, he's still one of my favorite characters out of the lot, but that doesn't give him the right to be a total dick. That's all I'm saying.
Season two is looking pretty good so far.

The series revolves around social outcast Scott McCall, a young lacrosse-playing student at Beacon Hills High School. His life drastically changes when he is bitten by a werewolf one night. Upon discovery that he is a werewolf, with the help of his best friend, Stiles, and the mysterious werewolf, Derek, he is forced to learn to balance his newfound identity among the many dangers that it presents with his teenage life. He must keep his loved ones safe and balance the relationships he shares with each person around him. Scott is also having trouble with keeping his secret from the girl he loves, Alison, and later finds out she is part of a family that hunts werewolves. The theme of "finding your place" is a prevalent undertone in the series that is mirrored by the pack mentality of werewolves. "Teen Wolf" is a guilty pleasure of mine, and I thought I'd make a thread for it. While some storylines in season one got a bit blah and cliche, the characters make up for it. Also, season two looks like it'll be a lot better than the first. I've got high hopes for this show, though I put it at a different level than other shows I watch (Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Fringe, etc...) It's just fun and entertaining. Doesn't take itself too seriously.

The trailer does make season five look pretty excellent. I'm looking forward to the premiere. As for Tara... while I did like her character, I feel like she was given the short stick in season 4, and I would rather have her dead, then for her character to continue to get less interesting.

Chris, you should really think about doing a movie. That universe was so original, so rich... it deserves some attention. I don't think I've ever seen another piece of Charmed fiction that dealt with some of the things you were planning on dealing with. I say... go for it!

I find that in whatever series I develop/write, there are always a few recurring themes and tones throughout the premise, plot, and/or characters. Not that everything I write is exactly alike, but I can always identify certain themes and motifs, such as life and death, as well as time and perhaps even family.
Have you noticed any trends when developing projects? If so, what are they and why do you think they are so prevalant in your writing?

I'm scrapping teasers and acts both. A good story/episode can work without them. My "Rebirth" pilot is just about finished and there's not a single act break in sight. I like this structure

This is something that recently got my interest, because I don't know if writing angles, close-ups, etc... is something that I should incorporate in my writing.
Right now, I'm working on a new pilot, and I'm going down a different road with my writing style. So, I just wanted to hear everyone's opinions on writing these types of camera movements.
Do you think its something that's needed to get the visual aspects correct, or do you think they are distractors from the really important stuff (characters, plot, flow of script)?

Looking forward to Beauty and the Beast, as well. If only just to see Kreuk on TV again. I really hope it's watchable.

Viserys Targaryen in ''Game of Thrones.'' His death was just so well deserved, it was perfect.

Really like this show. Not on my top ten favorites list, probably not even 20, but maybe top 30. lol But, this is still a pretty good show, and the season finale was truly epic! One of the best episodes of the series so far, and I hope it keeps it up going into season two. Now that magic has come to Storybrooke and all the fairy tale characters remember who they are, this show will definitely be making a big change.
