"FADE IN" Review
Seems like Thursdays are just gonna keep getting better and better. Lets start off with this. Chris, I know you've had this idea for as long as I have known you. I know it's gone through many facelifts or some fancy term like that, but our shows never turn out the way we first planned them. Remember that little VPN sitcom show...I do...living in my Mother basement how dare you. But anywho, lets get onto Screenwriters Paradise (Doesn't seem like much of a paradise now but I hope it does. Please include some palm trees and nachos)
How the episode started out really draws the reader in. Personally for me, I am a sucker for a good voice over. I feel like it gives the reader a chance to know the character before ever really knowing them. How Andrew described screenwriting in a kinda sincere and comedic way was nice. Andrew seems to be the more "mature" one in the apartment. Considering how Joshua spent his night. That made me laugh out loud. It's a nice refreshing change for theVPN to have a show that isn't afraid of going mature and having a male character sneak out his partners from the night before.
I also enjoyed how close Joshua and Andrew are. You can tell, just from how you wrote it, that they have been friends for a pretty long time and that they need each other in their lives. I feel like if you separated the two of them, it would be very heartbreaking. (I really hope I did not just give you an idea). You do set yourself up for some interesting adventures in the upcoming episodes and I cannot wait to see how it all plays out.
This episode did leave me wanting more, in a sense of like more story and more characters. But considering this is a Webseries and you are very limited to pages, I'll let it slide....this time. I think coming from Audition, this show is really going to stand on it's own from it's sister show. While Audition shows the really dark side to Hollywood in acting, but also has a fun side to it. I think with Screenwriters Paradise, you will have more room for adult themes such as sex and relationships. But all with a fun story of two roommates trying to get their screenplay noticed.
Overall, I really enjoyed this episode and it leaves me wanting more, so you did a fantastic job with that. I cannot wait to see what you have in store for the other characters. Also bring on Emily. I loved her in the backdoor pilot and I cannot wait to see how she shines on Screenwriters Paradise. Great job man, I'm super proud of you.

REVIEW: 1.01 "Fade In"The premiere of Screenwriters Paradise is finally here! I've been anxiously awaiting for this series ever since I first saw the pitch some years ago. It's such a meta series, because it's a script-written show about aspiring screenwriters, and it not only showing the dark side of Hollywood (I really like that concept, in case you haven't noticed) but also showing it with a light, comedic manner that helps it come across as not so dark and depressing. I can tell it's going to be a nice contrast as the series progresses, but for now, let's focus on the premiere and the awesomeness that it expressed. First off, I need to talk about Andrew and Joshua's relationship. It's probably one of the most refreshing male/male relationships that I've ever read. I think it strongly goes against the norm of male friends not being able to express things that aren't necessarily masculine with each other, and that's shown brilliantly with having Joshua parade around in front of Andrew in his skimpy, blue briefs right after kissing two of his sexual partners goodnight. Andrew isn't weirded out at all, and you get such a sense that they're closer than best friends - maybe even closer than brothers, if that's at all possible. Another awesome example is the way Joshua referred to Andrew as "babe". I'm honestly so in love with their relationship, and as much as I would love for them to become more than friends in the future, their relationship now is so beautiful and realistic. Still going with their dynamic, I loved the slight sense of embarrassment Andrew felt for not being able to write something solely on his own. But then here we have Joshua offering to help time and time again, and telling him that cowriting isn't such a horrible thing. These two dude just want the best for one another, and aren't afraid to speak the truth when it comes to the dream their attempting to accomplish. I wonder if that's going to play in for the first arc - Andrew's insecurities of not being able to fully complete a script unless Joshua writes it with him. I hope he can get past that, and if he can't fully write an entire script on his own yet, then I hope he comes to appreciate a Zawson cowrite. I also really loved how this episode mainly focused on Joshua and Andrew, and establishing the relationship that they share. It feels like we've been with them for as long as they've been in Hollywood, and I think that's something to commend you for. You're able to seamlessly weave these characters and their dynamics into our lives as if we've known them for as long as they've known each other, and I think that's such a magical thing. It's going to be awesome seeing how you introduced the new characters. I'm interested in seeing if Emily and Troy are going to have this same impact on me. What am I saying? Of course they will! I thought the comedy was really well placed. I literally laughed out loud when Joshua thought they were going to die because Shawn was breaking into his own apartment. Really funny stuff! Another joke that really landed was Andrew calling Joshua "his dick" then immediately realizing the context of what he said, and basically did an internal face palm. My absolute favorite was Joshua wanting to fight Shawn the moment he saw him. I love Joshua so much already. He's such an extroverted character, and such a lovely contrast to Andrew, but in his own right he's so great. I'm looking forward to peeling back his layers and seeing what other side he has to him, and why he acts the way he does, because it's obvious he doesn't look like he's going to settle down soon. So, seeing him in a relationship with Troy is going to be exciting. Why am I talking about future episodes?! I thought this episode did such a great job of setting up the next one. This very much felt like part one of a two part premiere, and setting up the writer's party, and the scheming Joshua and Andrew are going to have to do to try and get Shawn to plus one them already has my mind spinning with possibilities. Okay, I'm stopping this part right now because I just remembered the Do No Harm joke. That literally had me rolling. I think making little jabs at failed tv shows would be hilarious, if that's something that's going to continue to happen. Anyway, back to the set up. I know you've said that Joshua and Shawn aren't going to necessarily get along upon first meeting, so another contrast I'm looking forward to is going to be how Shawn interacts with Andrew as opposed to Joshua. Gah! So many amazing dynamics and contrasts in this show. Lastly, Manny had a hilarious part in the episode at well. His frustration with Shawn always loosing his key was funny, but also gave a little insight to how irresponsible Shawn is becoming, or is? I don't know, maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I thought that was a really clever way to integrate that into the episode. But yeah, I hope Manny finds his way into some more episodes, because he was a nice addition. I think I've covered everything. Let me know if I haven't! But yes, if you couldn't tell, I absolutely loved the premiered. Joshua and Andrew, and their relationships, have quickly become some of my favorites to read. I'm so looking forward to more of them and the antics they're going to get involved in, especially with the next episode, since this one set it up perfectly. I know they're going to struggle, but at least they have each other, and their beautiful, amazing relationship is probably my absolute favorite thing on the show far (it's only a pilot, I know!) and the development of it is going to brilliant. I can already tell. I'm rambling. Let me cut this off. Overall, AWESOME WORK!

"Fade In" Review
The long anticipated Screenwriter's Paradise has finally premiered, and I couldn't be more pleased with the episode to jump start what is bound to be another successful webisode series on theVPN. While the plot is going to take some time to cook in the first few episodes of the series, the pilot did the perfect job of establishing its two main characters: Andrew and Joshua. Right off the bat, you can tell the series is grounded in their really solid, open and dynamic friendship that serves as the platform to build a series worth of stories upon.
First up, I wanted to talk about the introduction. I think it was a perfect way to reel us into the show, and give us insight into what we can expect with this series -- it's about struggling writers in a realistic environment that is all inclusive of different kinds of race, and sexuality, allowing for a more diverse, and real world vibe that I can appreciate right off the bat. It's always interesting to me, in terms of establishing characters, how the supporting character seems to get the greatest introductions, and you showed that through Joshua -- who I don't see as supporting so much as the second male lead, but Andrew was the one to ease us into the story. I always think that subtlety is key, and so I like that we didn't need dialogue to tell us who Joshua is, we simply had two people leaving his room - a woman, and a man - allowing us to understand what type of lifestyle he leads, what his preferences might be, and the kind of laid back, open attitude he has which is refreshing. From then on, the episode pretty much centers around the struggles of landing an opportunity in their chosen field of work, and we're offered a lot of back and forth banter between two really relatable characters -- whether it's Joshua who has a life you aspire to have, or Andrew whose struggles to get shit done is just a little too close to heart, you immediately establish these qualities, and these aspirations and world views that make them leap off the page. Speaking of which, you also spent a lot of time in the same set of their apartment, which allowed us to build a sense of familiarity with the place as early as the pilot, and establish certain elements in their world that are bound to show up again, such as their apartment manager, Manny, and the hook into the following episode, Shawn. I think it was a nice twist to have Shawn be living in the same apartment block, and to sort of use him and his fame as a solution to their main source of conflict for the episode, and as a tool to bring us back for the next episode to see where this might go. Now, I'm not saying he'll remain a device, I just think that as a character who is introduced as mysterious, that learning his identity worked as a way to keep us wanting more, and I'm looking forward to see what his character is like in the following episode!
The only small problem with this episode is that for eleven or so pages, it could have branched out a little -- I felt it was a lot of back and forth between Joshua and Andrew. However, I don't really count that as a negative, or something that takes away from the episode, because they have such good chemistry with one another, and such organic dialogue between each other that it helped establish all these really great things I've mentioned above.
Overall, it was a really great start to the show. The two main characters are both interesting, and relatable. Their dynamics with one another offer us a lot of layers to sink our teeth into -- whether you enjoy their banter, or their friendship, or perceive their chemistry as something more than that and wish to see that explored a little further, there is definitely something gold between them that just sparks life into the show and makes you want to see what adventures they get up to in the world of being a struggling screenwriter. All in all, I'm excited for another episode, and no this is not a filler for Audition, I love it all on it's own, man. Well done!

Wow, everyone reviews stuff really intense. That's cool. I'm pretty much not a good reviewer in that I look at every nook and cranny but I must say it was entertaining. I can really see this being a unique story of these two guys and the art of writing. The struggle of making it in today's world and the distractions that come with it.
We get an awesome view of our characters and we see them presented rather well. I get this sense that they're not in the profession yet but they're trying to make it and that is always a better story - someone trying to make it into the industry and seeing how difficult it is especially with distractions. I will definitely be checking this show out for further episodes to see where it goes.
Plus I will try to do a better job at the reviewing.
8/10

And yes, SP has been through so many updates, but I'm to happy its current state is the one I'm most proud of So, I hope you enjoy what's to come. And oh, that was totally Jack's idea! Blame him! *hides* haha In the original pilot, voice overs played a much bigger role. We were given Andrew's inner dialogue throughout the episode, and it was something that would continue throughout the series. But in redrafts, I decided it would be best to tone it down. So even though we got that voice over in the beginning, it won't be something I use frequently. Glad you liked it though! Yeah, those two have definitely been best friends for a long time. You called it; they're very codependent, and that's something I plan on exploring later on. What happens when they are forced to separate? Should be fun and you know... heartbreaking. Haha! Yeah, I figured it would. The serialized nature of this series didn't help either. Each episode should be a direct continuation of the previous one, so you'll be able to see where they pick back up in the next episodes. After the 3rd episode, they should work better on their own. Thanks so much, Brian! Glad you enjoyed the pilot and hope you like what's to come! Look out for Emily in the next episode

I can tell it's going to be a nice contrast as the series progresses, but for now, let's focus on the premiere and the awesomeness that it expressed. You've been such a huge part of me wanting to pursue this series again! Actually being able to spin it off from Audition is one of the coolest things I've ever been a part of. And you've supported me from the beginning so I just want to thank you for that! Let's be honest. Zawson is based on our relationship. I really enjoy writing those two together. They know each other so well, and accept each other for who they are and it's just nice writing that kind of relationship. And showing that it's okay for to men to be so comfortable with each other to do some of the things Andrew and Joshua will do. There's so much in store for them and I think you're gonna love it! haha So excited about getting deeper into their dynamic. Andrew is pretty self conscious about his writing. Whereas Joshua is extremely confident in his. I wanted to create that contrast in hopes to create some conflict between the two, which will eventually show up later down the line. They'll always be there for one another though, so in the end, I can't see this being something they can work through together. That's such a compliment. I feel like introducing characters has always been one of the things I've been a little weaker at. So I'm so grateful that these two were able to really come off the page and make you feel as if you've know them for as long as they've known each other. I knew it was just a matter of time before I wrote a series that literally had a male friendship at its core, and I'm glad it's working for everyone so far! Look out for Emily and Troy in next weeks episode. Hopefully they do have the same impact. Another thing I was pretty worried about because comedy isn't my genre. I think it improves in later episodes, but I'm happy it wasn't so bad early on. Glad I was able to get a few laughs out of you, because you're the King of Comedy here on VPN! A lot of the comedy here comes from Joshua, and I'm hoping to spread it out between more of the characters in future episodes. I don't want him to only serve as comic relief. His relationship with Troy is a lot different from his relationship with Andrew, and even Shawn. I'm really looking forward to exploring all these different dynamics, and seeing how differently people's interactions are when they're with different characters. I thought about taking the Do No Harm joke out because I wrote that in 2013, back when the show had first gotten canceled, and didn't know if it would have the same effect, but I'm glad it was still funny. I do plan on making references to TV and pop culture in general in SP. Like... a lot! haha And the great thing is it'll happen in real time. There are lines in future episodes about things that happened a few months or weeks ago. It's been so fun making little references like that and you can definitely expect more Yeah, Joshua and Shawn don't hit it off right away. Shawn takes more of a liking to Andrew because he's a lot more similar to him. Quiet, a little shy, and a lot less extroverted than Joshua. I wouldn't say the two become friends, but they are more civil in the beginning. I remember Manny being a last minute addition to the pilot. He does show up a few more times in arc one, so I'm glad people have taken a liking to him. Spoiler Alert: We'll find out soon why Shawn, the famous actor, is living in a cheap apartment complex with Joshua and Andrew. And that will give a little more insight into who he is as a person. Thanks sooo much for the review, Brady! Your thoughts were so great to read! Glad you enjoyed the pilot and hope you like the rest of the arc/sequence!

Only popping up briefly to say this:
I knew I was going to like this show as I loved the original presentation, and reading this new pilot in it's new format, imagining the new cast in place on reinforced that belief - especially after I laughed so loudly at the "he's my dick" line, that I was afraid I'd woken the rest of the house up!
Keep 'em coming, Chris!

Thanks for the support, Jack! This has been in the works for a while and I'm happy its finally getting off the ground! I really wanted this show to be racially, sexually and socially diverse, because I wanted to do my best to represent the real world. I'm really looking forward to showing not only what makes people different but what makes them similar, so I'm glad you appreciated that. I definitely don't see Joshua as a supporting character. He's very much the second lead. While the pilot was told more through Andrew's perspective, it's something that changes in time between the two of them. Writing a story as an aspiring writer, focuses on aspiring writing and catering to an audience of aspiring writers, I definitely wanted to be as truthful and realistic as possible. We'll get to see so many more relatable topics and situations and I can't wait to see what people think. Shawn will play an interesting role in this series that won't necessarily get fully realized until a little later on. Agreed. There definitely could have been more story, especially as I didn't air the first two episodes at the same time, which would have probably remedied this issue. I can just hope that the stories can stand better on their own in future episodes. Thanks for the feedback, Jack! It's always so helpful. Hope you enjoy the rest of arc one!

REVIEW: 1.02 "The Weed Master" Another excellent installment in the first arc of Screenwriters Paradise! I love how there was almost a "split focus" between Andrew/Joshua and Emily on how they would end up going to the party that I'm sure will take place in the next episode. This episode also had a very interesting title and it almost gave it a sort of mystery to who the actual "Weed Master" would be. To be honest, I was not even expecting it to be Andrew, and when he grabbed the blunt off of the floor and started puffing O's, I literally almost dropped to the ground because I was in such shock and laughing so hard. Joshua was me in that moment, basically. But what I really loved about that was that, despite being friends for so long, each day they still learn something new about one another and it just brings them even closer, if that's at all possible. The actual plot of the episode was pretty funny. I loved the conversation Andrew and Joshua were having while they were walking towards Shawn. I don't know, just picturing them talking as they were dodging footballs by a pool was just hilarious to me. Also, Joshua's playful, flirty nature towards Andrew is probably going to be the death of me, because you get the sense that Andrew has had it happen to him over the course of their friendship to where it doesn't even affect him anymore and all he can do is sigh in reply. I'm seriously just so in love with their relationship and how dynamic it is, and how it goes against all of these masculine norms of what m/m friendships have to be. It's just such a fresh and unique take that I keep falling in love with them even more every time I read something about them. We also got to meet Emily Moore, who I've been eagerly awaiting. I loved her introduction; I love that she has a designated "nap time"; and I love that she hates her boss. I think her unprofessionalism is definitely a character flaw, but I don't think that in any way makes her a bad character. I love that we're going to see those layers peeled back from her, to where she probably won't be this feisty, outspoken woman. Because, in reality, she's a struggling agent who can't seem to find a promising script and is fearful of losing her job. The joke about Bad Teacher was actually really hilarious and caught me so off-guard too. Amazing stuff. Another character we met was Troy Parker. I thought his relationship with Emily was one definitely built on some sort of mutual respect for one another, because he does work for her, but there's still a sense that he can joke with her because they're comfortable with one another. Even though she was a bit rude to him, he doesn't fire back at her or anything, and while that may be because she might fire him, I saw it as he knows what she's going through so he won't make her any more mad than she already is. We also got a little insight to Troy's character, as he mentioned he was fairly sexually active in his young adult years. That's probably still true to him today, and I can see him getting into a sexual relationship very, very soon. If anything, I think I would have liked Emily and Troy incorporated into the episode more organically. I think it would have flowed a little nicer, but this is more of a suggestion than a complaint. I also want to talk about Shawn. We saw a glimpse of him in the last episode, but in this one we really got a sense of who he is and how he acts. I think he's a very troubled character, as made evident by the fact that he can never keep up with this key, and that it leads to an argument with Manny ever single time. He seems to be in the darkest part of Hollywood out of the people that we met, and I'm looking forward to seeing why he is the way he is, because by the way Andrew describes it he's had it very well off up until this point in his life. Another thing I liked about Shawn was the contrast to how he interacts with Andrew and Joshua. Obviously, Andrew's smoke tricks might make him more likable to Shawn, but then the rapper line might be the reason he doesn't like Joshua. I don't know. I'm just very interested in his storyline. A few funny moments that popped out at me: during Shawn and Manny's argument when the former calls the latter out on being his weed dealer. The way Emily answered the phone as opposed to her loud "HELLO?!" as she woke up was also a really great moment. And also the "Igloo Australia" line. I love the pop culture references in this show and how current and modern they are, and I think that's something I'm going to look forward to week-to-week. Overall, another awesome episode! I loved how relationships grew in such a short period of time, and only by having one of them do smoke tricks with a blunt. The characters that were introduced have me eagerly awaiting what's going to happen to them, and the comedy in this kept up with that of the pilot's. I can't wait to see what happens next week, because nothing calm and tame can ever happen at a Hollywood party!

But what I really loved about that was that, despite being friends for so long, each day they still learn something new about one another and it just brings them even closer, if that's at all possible. Thanks for the read/review, Brady! Your thoughts are always appreciated! I love you! I'm glad I was able to throw you through that loop with Andrew being the weed master. I never outlined this episode, so it's not something I started off knowing either, it just sort of happened that way. Joshua and Andrew still learning things about one another is something I definitely want to explore more. And I'm taking that journey right along with you, so it's very exciting! Joshua is such a flirt. I don't think he even realizes it half the time, but Andrew is definitely used to it. He's kind of come to expect it from him, and if he just stopped one day, I think that would make Andrew nervous! haha But I'm really happy you're responding to those two well. They're one of my favorite parts about writing this show, and I have a really good time exploring the little things about their relationship. Glad she read well for you. Her introduction was probably my favorite scene to write this episode. She's definitely not the most professional person, and that's definitely something that will be touched on later. Why she is the way she is. If she's always been that way? And if not, what happened to make her that way. I'm excited to see what you think about her arc this sequence. The Bad Teacher joke was a last minute throw in, haha! Glad you liked it Troy is a character I sort of rebuilt from the ground up when I recast the character at the last minute. haha! Originally, he was very shy and soft spoken, but I thought I already had that type of character in Andrew and Shawn, so making him more of an extrovert like Joshua, while giving him more playful, eccentric qualities, would make him more interesting to read. His relationship with Emily will be touched on more in the following episodes. You don't see much of them in the next two, but you'll definitely get a better look at the two in episode 5. We might learn that he's more of a spitfire than he is in this introduction. Shawn is a very troubled character. He has so many problems and issues he needs to work through, and definitely has one of the darkest storylines so far. I thought it was important to not only show the nice, colorful aspects of the industry, but those dark corners as well, which we'll get brought more to the front in arc two. Stay tuned for more pop culture references! I just hope the world keeps providing me with this great content! haha Can't wait to hear your thoughts next week! The party itself is pretty tame compared to the after party, but I'll just let you read it and see for yourself! As always, your thoughts are so great to read! I'm really glad you enjoyed the episode

I completely forgot to review....whoops? But I'm just gonna touch upon things I liked and make this a short review. Short like Jack hey-oooo (@jack I'm so sorry) BUT, lets touch upon the surface of my favorite part of the episode.
EMILY AND TROY.
Like god bless. I'm so happy that we finally got an SP episode with Emily. (Granted it's only episode two but it's felt like years for me) Her character is one of my absolute favorites, love her to death. I don't know what it is about a woman in a position of power who can kill you with a stare, that makes me feel fear and excitement all at once. Those characters intrigue me the most because something or someone made them that way. My favorite example of this, and I am sorry ahead of time, is Katherine Pierce from TVD. When we met her, she was PURE evil, but we know why. She lost so much. She lost her child, her innocence, and even her life as it was taken away from someone that looked like her. With Emily, I hope we get an episode where you touch upon what made her so cold hearted. I feel like there is more to her story than just being a Pilot scout and making sure they get on the air before they get cancelled two episodes later.
Emily is by far the one character I will stick around for. I also loved Joshua and Andrew this week, they're such dorks that I love it. I feel like, after knowing you for eight years?? yeah eight coming up, I see a lot of you in these characters. Your crazy wit and even drive to succeed. But also how you look out for your friends and stuff. Your main characters are easy to relate too and I love that. I also loved Troy, right now, I feel like he won't have much of a story asides from being Emily's assistant or intern. Forgive me, I forget easily. But knowing you and how you treat your characters, I feel like he'll get an awesome back story.
Overall, REALLY enjoyed this episode and I seriously can't wait for more coming up and what you have in store. This party will be a big game changer I think for your series, and doing it so early on makes me think, what the hell is gonna happen next!?!!??. But that's a good thing in my book, keep the audience wanting more. I love this show, and cannot wait to see more from you man. *cough* Nightwing *cough*
Sorry, allergies.

1x03: The Shindig From Hell (review)Another fantastic episode of Screenwriters Paradise. I think I found myself enjoying this one a bit more than the other ones because it's where all the main characters really came together. And what better way to do that then with a party. I liked the interaction between Troy and Joshua. It was probably so damn funny. Especially that ping pong line. I'll leave it at that. But god that line was amazing. I also liked how we got a little bit a more insight on Emily and her possible future romance with Andrew? ?? what it could happen. But now I'm seriously doubting it now, after you dropped that MAJOR bombshell. MARRIED??? WIFE? ? HINDU??? Okay, not the last part, but MARRIED?! When the hell did that happen?! I half expect you to tell me that you already mentioned it and that I'm just stupid and missed it. But I'm legit in shock with Freya and Andrew. It just raises so many questions like, WHEN? WHO? WHY? WHEN ?? like I need these answers now and expect them in my inbox later tonight with sources. But I'm excited to see what kind of stories that brings into play. It adds a new layer to Andrew that I didn't even expect to see. So I'm excited to see how that plays out. Overall, enjoyed this episode. I better get some loving from Joshua and Troy. Just because that is like OTP material right there. Or you know, Friends with Benefits. Whatever direction it goes in, I hope it does not involve ping pong balls. Nuff said. But I cannot wait to see what you have coming up, Chris! Great job!

REVIEW: 1.03 “The Shindig from Hell”These episodes just keep improving and improving! I loved this episode and how it was able to incorporate each of the characters separately before putting them all together by the end of it. One of the biggest things out of this episode was the introduction of Freya Malek, who was shown as a very shy and quiet type of woman, and I loved what we got to see of her. She was such a great contrast to all of the extroverted, vibrant characters that we’ve met so far, and I really appreciated that. We also got a huge reveal with her being connected to Andrew’s past by that of marriage. I literally did not see that coming in the slightest, so props to you for being able to provide such a shock so early on. My guess is that it was some sort of arranged marriage, especially since we got some insight into Andrew’s Hindu background. Another thing I loved about Freya’s introduction was how she already knew Andrew’s relationship with Joshua, and her line of “some things never change” just was such a nice little addition, because you can’t help but picture Andrew, Freya, and Joshua all hanging out and Joshua just acting like a lunatic half of the time, and Freya just playfully laughs at him because he’s nowhere near the type of person she is, yet they get along anyway. I think that was all one sentence so I hope it made sense haha. But yeah, I loved Freya’s introduction The opening scene was great. I love how Joshua prided himself on the J Law. comment and the bouncer easily mistook that for Jennifer Lawrence. Joshua looked so disappointed, and I just wanted Andrew to give his boyfriend best friend a hug, but that’s my Zawson shipper talking. Anyway, I love how Shawn is able to get it because of his status and recognition, yet when he tries to put the moves on Freya he fails because she has no idea who he is. Haha! That was a really funny moment. We also saw the start of a romance between Troy and Joshua. Troy’s feisty comebacks towards Joshua tells us that he’s probably been offered that exact same deal, and I think that’s what makes it even more hilarious. But then we saw that guard get pulled back as Joshua started to crack jokes with him, and it’s obviously that they’re going to become romantic - whether it be purely sexual or not - in the future and it’s a relationship I’m looking forward to seeing developed. On the flip side, from Andrew’s POV we got a nice interaction with Emily. Of course I loved the line about Michael. But besides that, we got another glimpse at how Emily is struggling to keep her job and how she’s pretty much taking any script she can get her hands on. Luckily, she saw something in Andrew and the alcohol and she accepted to look at their script. I can’t wait to see what she thinks about it! So yeah, another awesome episode. I can’t wait to see what the aftermath of this shindig from hell will be, because from the end of the episode it looks like it’s going to be pretty wild. I’m all for it. Great work, babe!

Thanks for the feedback, Brian! And I'm sorry for getting back to you so late! Emily is so much fun to right. She's such a hot mess and has a very loud personality that I love bringing to life. We'll definitely be able to take a deeper look into other parts of her life and we'll find out why she is the way she is, so look for that in the coming episodes. There's definitely more to her than I'm letting on at the moment. I'm glad the characters are so relatable for you! I try to put a little bit of myself into every character I write, and I feel like with this series in particular, I was really able to do that. Joshua's sense of humor, Andrew's introverted personality and inability to focus (haha), even Shawn's shady behavior and Troy's sass. I like to think I'm as interesting as my characters but we all know I'm not For a recurring character, Troy gets a lot this sequence, as you know from reading 103, he'll become involved in Joshua's arc, which will give him even more screen time. I hope you enjoy the role he has to play. Thanks again for the feedback, Brian! Haha I know, I know. Gonna do Nightwing sooner or later.... eventually.... at some point haha

Just having all the characters together in one place, even if they all didn't get the chance to interact, was really cool. Troy is such a little freak, it's great and that means he's perfectly suited for Joshua. HAHA! Yeah. They be married. You'll get more details in next week's episode, about when it happened and why. But they have a pretty interesting relationship. It's sweet, but in a different way than Joshua and Andrew. You'll see haha Thanks for the feedback, Brian! So glad you enjoyed this episode, and hope you enjoy the ones to come

REVIEW: 1.03 “The Shindig from Hell”These episodes just keep improving and improving! My guess is that it was some sort of arranged marriage, especially since we got some insight into Andrew’s Hindu background. Glad the show is getting better for you I think this is the episode where I figured out how the characters and their individual arcs. And everyone coming together by the end sort of served as the starting point of the friendship they will establish over the course of this sequence. I really excited about exploring that more. Freya was the last to be introduced and I'm so glad you've taken a liking to her already. I think her, Shawn and Andrew as the more reserved people. With Joshua, Emily and Troy being their polar opposites. And I'm surprised I was able to keep quiet about the marriage angle. I was sure someone would either guess or I wouldn't be able to keep my mouth shut But, I'm glad it was a shocker. We'll get more background into that in the next episode, so I can't wait to hear your thoughts. Oh yeah, they go way back. I think Freya's been in Andrew's life just as long as Joshua's been in his life (if not longer), so of course they have crossed paths before. Their dynamic is fun, because I think I wrote Freya as Joshua's annoyed older sister, in the way that his personality is so out there and semi-obnoxious, and she likes to fly under the radar. The two don't mesh well together, and whenever she's around him its like a permanent eye roll. But in the end, they'll be there for each other. I can't wait write more of that. LOL That J Law line came to me when I was on tumblr when I was supposed to be writing. And I saw a gifset of Jennifer Lawrence and I thought "hmm, I could do something with that." So, that's how it was birthed haha Zawson all day every day. Oops, I'm not supposed to say that. I'm supposed to be unbiased. The reason for why Freya doesn't know who Shawn is is kinda sad. Her storyline this sequence is.... well I'll just let you keep reading ;D Parkson is another relationship I really love writing. I think, in the beginning, both of them just want to have some fun with each other. And whether or not that is enough for them, or if they'll become something more serious, is up in the air right now. But it'll be a fun, sexy journey either way I had to give a little shout out to the Audition family That was fun for me to write. Emily has so many layers that I'm really excited about showing you all. From her no longer getting pleasure from her job, but knowing it's something she has to do to pay the bills, which might be the reason for her drinking. It'll just get deeper, so I hope you enjoy what's to come. Thanks for the feedback, Brady! You know it's always appreciated *CRIES* You called my "babe." We're like the real-life Zawson, only better. CHRADY ftw! Thanks, babe!
