The series revolves around social outcast Scott McCall, a young lacrosse-playing student at Beacon Hills High School. His life drastically changes when he is bitten by a werewolf one night. Upon discovery that he is a werewolf, with the help of his best friend, Stiles, and the mysterious werewolf, Derek, he is forced to learn to balance his newfound identity among the many dangers that it presents with his teenage life. He must keep his loved ones safe and balance the relationships he shares with each person around him. Scott is also having trouble with keeping his secret from the girl he loves, Alison, and later finds out she is part of a family that hunts werewolves. The theme of "finding your place" is a prevalent undertone in the series that is mirrored by the pack mentality of werewolves. "Teen Wolf" is a guilty pleasure of mine, and I thought I'd make a thread for it. While some storylines in season one got a bit blah and cliche, the characters make up for it. Also, season two looks like it'll be a lot better than the first. I've got high hopes for this show, though I put it at a different level than other shows I watch (Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Fringe, etc...) It's just fun and entertaining. Doesn't take itself too seriously.

It's a lot better than it looks. But yeah, it can get a little cliche, at times. I watch it for Stiles, mostly. Best character on the show

I started on the second episode last night, but it got really late so I had to turn it off. I got about half-way through it, though and I actually really like this show so far! Have to agree with the praise of Stiles - he's awesome !

I'm on the fourth episode, "Magic Bullet", and its really awesome so far. The relationship between Scott and Allison is fun to watch, and I like how they played out this mystery behind Derek for the first three episodes. Stiles, of course, is the best character. XD
Anyone else have the hots for Allison? Ohmygod. She just whipped out a bow. Tell me this chick gets to eventually kick some ass with that thing? My god.
...gonna go finish the episode now. But just wanted to drop in to say how awesome this show is, and how I'm loving it so far! XD

I've gotten my dad into this show. I tell him about a show, and he doesn't believe me when I say it's good. Then, a few months later, I purposely watch the show when he's home, so he'll be forced to watch it, and get invested in the characters. 99.9% of the time.... he ends up liking the show Success. Yet again. haha Btw, season 2 is looking good. Stiles is still the best character, obviously. Oh, I guess I should do this -- Favorite Characters: Stiles, Derek, Lydia Jack, I know you like Allison now, but I got tired of both her and Scott after episode 5. Let's see if it's the same with you. HAHA.

I sort of miss season one Derek. I mean, he's still one of my favorite characters out of the lot, but that doesn't give him the right to be a total dick. That's all I'm saying.
Season two is looking pretty good so far.

Teen Wolf got renewed for a 24 episode third season. Hell yeah. I'm waiting for S2 to wrap before I watch it because I enjoyed watching S1 in a huge bulk of episodes, one after the other, and I think it will make watching S2 even more fun! But omg - 24 episodes for S3!

So Teen Wolf S2 is almost over, so I started it today. The first episode was INSANE. I'm so grossed out by whatever is happening to Douche McDouchery (I forgot his name over the hiatus). But if I have to watch him cough up blood every episode, I'm gonna be soooo sick, hahaha. The show still has its cheesy moments - the way Scott runs is definitely not "epic" looking at all, lol. BUUUUUT, the episode was awesome! I wanna know what the hell is up with Lydia, and I wanna see "Granpa" get mauled to death by Derek, or should I just call him Alpha now? He's such a bad ass.
And of course... Stiles is awesome. Best part was when Lydia was found, and she's all naked and asking for a coat, and Stiles just passes out trying to take his dad's jacket for her. Ahahahaha. And when he's sleeping at the hospital and drooling and... ugh! Its brilliant! Hahaha.

I think I'm just gonna start calling Jackson, "Douche McDouchery." I can't believe he's a fan favorite. Why are the assholes in every tv show always fan favorites?? It's stupid. Ugh. Oh, and if you think him coughing up blood was bad... well, you've got another thought coming. LOL
But I'm soo glad you're catching up with the season! It's even better than the first, and oh my god... Stiles, Lydia and Derek are the best characters on the show!! Do you still like Scott and Alyson? If you haven't gotten tired of them by now, I guess you never will. haha.

Ugh. I need to see the damn finale already. Ohmygod... Basically, this season is awesome. Much better than the first. My only real complaints so far is that Jackson, as a character, is annoying as all hell and him being a huge focus of the season is just flat out irritating, paired with - in my opinion - a lack of Derek, and the reintroduction of Peter Hale or whatever his name is. Those are my only negative comments. There is so many awesome things happening though that I just can not get over - for one: Allison is becoming a total BAMF. Chris told me that he thinks she'll cross a line in the finale, and I think that's totally gonna happen. She really has had this role thrust upon her, and while she's had training and moments in her life that have prepared her for this, it feels like she's too consumed in - maybe not emotion, but the idea of vengeance. And that is really fueling her, and keeping her going. Her relationship with Scott has eased off, and they're incredibly distant, and she's becoming really, really cold. When she lays arrow after arrow into this werewolf with this blank expression, it really feels like she's becoming more of a monster than these creatures she's agreed to stand against and destroy. Its just such a good storyline!
Speaking of Allison, I was worried the "my family are hunters" aspect of the show was pushed to the background while Jackson came to the surface, but approaching the last few episodes, it really is back in full force. I thought it was really cool to see the family react to one of their own being turned - Allison's mother, nonetheless. The fact she actually killed herself - that her beliefs were more important to stand by than her own life - it was really, really powerful. And as for good old gramps, I'm sorry I ever doubted him as a villain. Although, he still feels like someone who has more bark than bite. I predict Allison taking him out in the finale as a way to solidify where she stands - and then, she may, in fact, choose no side. I can easily see her turning her back on everyone because werewolves have destroyed her life, and her family's obsession with hunting them and their beliefs towards them has cost her two people she loved. How is a show on MTV so damn good? My god.
Anyway... STILES BETTER NOT DIE. He's such a great character, and its so awesome how this last episode focused on him a little more, and the fact that he feels powerless, and doesn't feel like he can help as much as everyone else. His heart is in the right place, and its so hard to watch him struggle (especially in the episode before that when he was paralyzed and was still trying to save his father). I'm scared for him. He disappeared at the end, and I don't know where he ended up, but if Gramps lays a finger on him, I'm-a-scream.
And sadly, now, I share Chris' views of Scott. Its like he tries too hard to be the hero of the story - the one with the weight of the world on his shoulders. He doesn't realise that he's NOT the only one who can help save the town, his friends, and his family. For one, Lydia has the power to save Jackson, allegedly, so why not utilize her in this fight a little more? Scott never trusted Allison to be strong enough to take care of herself, and now look at her - she's actually gone up against Jackson's alter ego, planted a couple knives into his neck, chest, and head, and she's still kicking. What really annoyed me in this last episode was that he had thirty seconds to do something - THIRTY SECONDS. He could have pulled Stiles off the field. He could have grabbed his mum and taken her to safety. He could have hunted down gramps or Jackson and actually do something in the time he had left. Instead, he watched and waited - the lights went out, and Stiles was taken. It just really annoys the hell out of me. Derek may have failed as an Alpha, the head of the pack, but at least he had the brains to seek out help in this fight, rather than take it all on himself. Hell, he's with some evil S.O.B. right now, learning to trust an enemy in order to save everyone. So, yeah, Scott is really starting to get on my nerves.
Notes of awesomeness: Lydia has grown on me tenfold. I didn't actually like her in S1, and despite a few crazy bumps this season with her, I really love her snark, attitude and wit. She's proven that she may look like the school bimbo - a hot one at that - but she's got brains, and she's got a big heart too. Derek and Stiles are still two of my favourite characters (and even Allison *runs from Chris*). This season is just so damn awesome, and all of the twists and turns in it...ugh, its just epic. Seriously. Yes, I'm aware its on MTV... hahahaha. If you wanna skip the rant, here's an awesome Stiles quote:

I cannot believe you caught up so quickly. Teen Wolf is epic, isn't it? Cannot believe this show is on MTV. They would be stupid to cancel this. It's the best show *only show* on the network, imo. haha! But I love your rant, and agree with EVERYTHING you have said. Especially the part about Scott being a useless piece of crap, as he sat there for 30 FREAKING SECONDS and did NOTHING. What the hell did he think was gonna happen? Ugh. Such an idiot. Wow. That's all I can say. I don't see him saving the day in the end. He just doesn't deserve to come out of this season as the big hero, when the people around him have been doing most of the work for him, in a way. All he has done is be useless, kick flipping people, trying to look bad ass to dubstep music. Oh my god. But yes, can't wait for the finale. It should be brilliant! Then, season three has 24 episodes -- ZOMG! Still can't get over that!

Now that's what you call a season finale. I really like teen wolf, but i'm not gonna lie, i was slightly disappointed with this season. Although it was a huge step up from season one, i felt not a lot was happening. The Kanima story line was a little weak and dragged on a bit to long which lead to me becoming bored. The fact that Jackson was focused on as much as he was irritated me... I hate Jackson with a passion and maybe that's why i didn't enjoy the season as much as i had liked? However after the finale i can say, it was worth sitting through this season. I felt like Jackson being the Kanima was going nowhere, and like i said got slightly boring. But when he "killed" himself and was turning into a bigger and more scary monster i started to enjoy the story line a bit more, why didn't this happen sooner?! I would have liked to see the wings! Now what i didn't see coming was how Jackson broke the Kanima curse. It wrapped up the whole, why did Jackson reject the bite in the first place, nicely. And now he is a werewolf? awesome! I just hope he's not as much of an ass next season.
Lydia and Stiles in this episode were great. I've never really been a Lydia fan but you could really feel chemistry between the both of them, i was starting to feel that Lydia's feelings towards Stiles were growing. DAMN YOU JACKSON! WHY DIDN'T YOU DIE! :( haha Stiles and Lydia are far from over i think though, watch this space.
I didn't really get how Allison just snapped, i found it rather weird, of course her mother died and that's going to impact her life but i didn't really get why she was taking it out on the rest of the pack, it just didn't seem like Allison. Well i suppose her Grandfather was manipulating her but her sudden change in attitude just felt off to me so i'm glad she's back to normal.
I like how the finale wrapped everything up nicely, and it really made me appreciate the season a bit more, even though i wasn't enjoying it as much. I hope next season will be intense. With the few cliffhangers at the end i'm thinking it will be. An Alpha pack, WTF?! that has to be awesome, i really cant wait to see what they do with that. There's probably some stuff that i haven't touched on but if i remember i will most likely post again later.
