Wow! Thanks, Jay! I'm super excited you read and enjoyed the episode! I'm really glad you enjoyed all the characters, especially Paula. Everyone seems to love her. XD And you'll totally see more of her in the next episode. And Alex is very impatient! He doesn't want to wait for anything. XD Thanks again, Jay! I hope you like the next episode!

Review: "We Have Arrived" Justfinished reading, and I have to say: I loved it. What I enjoyed most was probably the twist in the main conflict - you had these aspiring actors, Alex and Alisha, hopelessly looking for an agent and being rejected a handful of times, only for them to stumble across an agent who seems more desperate than they are to find actors. It kind of felt like fate that they collided, and I liked that. It was a nice twist - I almost would have called it too convenient, but it really worked. And Paula is definitely my favourite so far - I like how awkward and garbled she is. Its fun reading her dialogue.
My only real negative point - which isn't really a negative - was Michael's reaction to screwing up breakfast and mentioning his deceased wife. It was said that its been three years, and a couple months since it happened, and while I loved how you weaved that introduction into this episode, and explained why its just Michael and Alex, and there's no mother in the picture, I did feel like his reaction was more of a "fresh cut" rather than a "three-year-old scar" you know? The shed of a tear felt a little too much, when the emotional aspect of it was still there from his leaving the room. Still, it worked, so I can't complain about that too much.
Anyway, I love the friendship with Alex and Alisha - I'm not convinced that they'll turn into anything more (at least not for a while) because they seem to have this brother/sister relationship at the moment. And I'm looking forward to seeing what new conflict arises in future episodes. It does seem like Paula isn't so experienced with being an agent, despite her heart being in the right place, so she'll be struggling just as much as these aspiring actors. So that's what has me so interested - I just loved that twist. It was pulled off really well.
Overall, I loved it. Other than that MINOR strife, its a 10/10.

Thanks for reviewing, Jack! Now, I must reply: I'm super excited that you loved it! I was actually a little nervous the whole conflict, type-thing wouldn't work out so well, so I'm glad that it all worked out! XD And I'm so glad everyone's enjoying Paula. Her main episode, if I had to call it that, is the next one, and I'm hoping everyone can handle lots of Paula. XD
Going back and reading Michael mentioning his wife, I can really see what you mean. It's just when I was first writing it, I actually thought it worked, but I totally see how it could've been handled better.
Alex and Alisha are strictly best friends. XD Nothing more. And I'm glad you like their relationship together. Brother/Sister was totally what I was going for. XD And Paula will probably be struggling more than the kids. And I really want people to root for her and the kids, and hopefully Michael, too, even though he can be a real douche. XD
WOW. A 10! That's awesome! Thanks again, Jack! I hope you enjoy the rest of the journey I'm trying to take these characters on! XD

Gah! I told you I was going to leave you one the day it came out but I failed! Here it goes. REVIEW "Audition 1x01": I really enjoyed this episode, I said I did before too when I first read it. At first this seemed like just a fun light hearted show, but there was some deeper subject matter that added a second layer that I liked. I liked the fact his Dad is not the nicest person ever, I also like that that he is still having a hard time dealing with his wife's death. However, I do agree with Jack that it seemed like her death was more recent by the Dad's reaction. I liked Micheal's relationship, not just with his son, but with Alisha.
My favorite is Paula! Goodness I love Paula! I can't wait to see more with her and the kids and everything! I know this isn't the best review, but I already did it once before so I am being more relaxed.
Long story short I give this episode 9/10! Very nice start to a good series.

Thank you so much for your comments, Kerry! As always, any feedback is always appreciated! As I said above, I totally see how bringing up his wife could've been handled better. Just thought it worked at the time. XD And I'm really glad you enjoy his relationship with Alisha. In Arc 2, I'll dive into that relationship a little more. So I hope you enjoy that as well. I'm so glad everyone is loving Paula! She is so fun to write for, and I hope everyone continues to love her. XD
Thank you again for the review, Kerry!

Review: Audition 1x01 "We Have Arrived" Like I said after my first read during the pitching process, I really enjoyed this episode. It set up the story and characters exceptionally well, and it was a very straightforward, to the point and solid starting point to wherever the series may go from this point, forward. The support that these characters have for one another is great, and while I'd love to see that element continue, it'll be interesting to see if these same characters begin to grow a little hostile tension toward one another, because Alex and Alisha have the same dream, and that makes room for some potential jealousy and drama that can put them at odds. But for now, I like their friendship a lot. Michael was one of the stronger characters so far. His grief at the mention of his deceased wife showed some real emotion and character depth, which is something I would very much like to see more of, with to him, as well as the other core characters. Paula's introduction really set the tone for me, and I think, with her being added to the story it will only take off into a better direction. She has to be my favorite character, because she's so very goofy, awkward and quirky. She provides that extra element of comedy that this show could use to really stand out. So far, a solid start, with lots of potential and clear room to improve, which I have no doubt it will, seeing as I've already read the second episode of the sequence. Nice job, Brady.

Wow! Thanks for the second review, Chris! XD I'm so thrilled that everyone is loving the characters! XD And yes, their support will continue, and whether or not hostile tension will rise between them, is still to be determined. But it could happen. XD
Michael will be the 'supporter' for a couple of episodes, until we really get to see his fatherly ability, which I'm hoping everyone will love. But, hopefully, if there's a next sequence, his character will continue to grow, letting him become a real favorite. XD And Paula will remain Paula. Personality wise, that is. XD She's always going to be that quirky, fan-favorite that hopefully won't become annoying for anyone... HAHAHA.
You have already read the second episode! So, you know how it goes down, and I hope everyone will like it more than this episode, along with the rest of the Sequence. XD Thanks again, Chris!!

Review 1x02 "Hollywood Trouble" This is the last of the episodes I got the preview before the series aired so next week it will be all new and I'm excited for that.
With that said I again really liked this epsiode too! It featured more of Paula and I was looking forward to that. I really liked the opening. Poor Paul is working hard for her kids but it just doesn't seem to pan out. Obviously like her aspiring actors people don't take her seriously either and, like Alex and Alisha, she has something to prove too.
I dont know why but I really like the paralleling of Paula and Michael with the palms thing. I just did. Nice touch.
In the next part when the group is meeting with Paula, Michael is a big fat jerk XD. He seems to be acting childish and needs to get over it. He had a problem with their agent from the beginning and I wonder why exactly that is. If he just doesn't like agents or is it just the fact he believes she is inept. I find it hilarious the kids are taking the situation and dealing with it more maturely.
Then of course Paula is adorable and hilarious and even cool Michael can't stay upset with her. I'm glad because who can hate her, really? I like the way you did that by her making him smile and she catches it.
This was certainly a victorious episode for Paula and I enjoyed it, even more than the first one. I give it a 10/10

Thanks for the review, Kerry! ;D I'm glad you still enjoy this episode! And Paula as well. XD Yea, while trying to help Alex and Alisha with their dream, Paula is trying to make her own come true as well. And I really wanted to show that.
I don't really want Michael being "childish." Just protective. XD He's really close with his son, because he's all he's got, with the exception of Alisha. And he's not to big of a fan of Paula, simply because he feels like she doesn't know what she's doing. And could you blame him? XD
Again, I'm super stoked that everyone loves Paula so much. XD And I'm glad you liked Michael smiling, because, you're right, no one can hate Paula. I mean, she's Paula. XD
Thanks again for the review, Kerry! I hope you enjoy the episodes to come! ;D

I've just read 1x02 Hollywood Troubles, here's my review; So, i gotta say, another great episode! I enjoyed that we got to see more of Paula this episode and she had more of the spotlight. I have to disagree with with Kerry, I don't think Micheal does come across as childish, I see where you coming from, he's protective, he wants the best for his son and Alisha and he feels that Paula isn't the best for them, although he does seems a bit stubborn about it leading him to make that rude comment XD but i hope he grows to like Paula in the future because shes so adorable!
I'm looking forward to seeing more of Alex and Alisha testing out their acting skills in the talent class, it shal be fun. I give this ep a 10/10
